Alexis Murray is the BEST. She is very attentive, lets you fully explain yourself & your concerns, speaks to you so respectfully, doesn't gaslight you & tries to see things your way so that she can better understand you, & she respects your personal beliefs, & does not come off judgmental nor does she make you feel stupid. Lately we have been going to see Alexis Murray for my son almost once monthly. She is always so patient and detailed with us. She explains herself very well & lets us as parents feel safe enough to ask her many questions & figure out how to go about things in regard to my son's health. She also is so reassuring and makes us feel safe!!! She is a gem there. Astrid is a medical assistant there at Primary Medical and she was also very attentive with son. She made him feel very comfortable and made him laugh. When you have little kids all the little things matter & when they take the extra steps to make sure your child is comfortable it puts us as parents at ease. I, myself have also been seen by Alexis Murray & can attest to a great bedside manner. All in all, I am super happy that my whole family goes to Primary Medical in Oxnard. Give Alexis Murray a go, you will not be disappointed!!!

However, I was immediately put to ease by the professionalism and genuine care provided by Dr. Dodge and his staff, from all the amazing women at the front desk, to the nurse practitioners, and of course Dr. Dodge himself. Over the course of two months, he and his team worked patiently with me through my recovery. Hannah, his nurse practitioner, always sat with me and made me smile while we dealt with a daunting amount disability insurance paperwork. Any time the state or Lincoln reached out to the office the staff promptly replied and provided all the medical information needed so I could receive my benefits as fast as possible. Dr. Dodge was diligent in his evaluations of my injury. He took the extra time to make sure I understood my injury and what to expect through the recovery process. He made excellent physical therapy recommendations and helped me stay positive through a scary time. I'm so grateful for the care I received from this group. Because of them I made a full recovery and returned back to work without any lingering problems. Honestly, I could write about these amazing people all day. She said to search around for someone to write the prescription. They all only get 20 minutes per patient. They get to address your 1 thing and that's it. I needed to transfer to the Santa Paula office since it's taken time to get in with pain management separately. Dr Lami is a gem, he understands and agrees to be helpful if you need something and then when you call back, the staff can't be bothered to assist. I think the staff answers calls for all of the offices and some of them just do what they can to get you off the line and don't really care if they help you. I guess they think when you call back someone else will do the work. Lazy. Then they get mad that you call so many times. Trust me, I wish I didn't have to spend 2 days trying to get someone to understand what is needed. I did the work asking about my request from the dr 2 weeks ago. I was experiencing some anxiety and emotions (which I explained as soon as she came in) and was clearly upset. However, instead of being kind, comforting and understanding, She behaved as if I was angry. I told her I hadn't been to the dr in awhile and just feeling anxiety. She didn't like the way I was sitting in my chair with one leg up and spoke to me as if I was a child and not a 40 yr old woman. Then she said she couldn't continue the appt or care for me at all even in the future. This is upsetting and not how someone should be treated by a DOCTOR. I definitely don't want her as my dr if she can't show empathy when someone is upset/crying. I felt judged and dismissed. I've never been treated this way by a Dr. and hopefully no one else will be.
