Dr Brana was recommended to us by a pulmonologist while I was in the hospital for advanced pulmonary fibrosis. We contacted the office via their website to make an appointment. Instead of contacting us by email, someone called and left a message which forced us to have to call back. If I had wanted to call, I would have done so in the first place. This step, which they offer via their website, proved to only make the process even longer and more frustrating just to make an appointment.
We called and were told we couldn't get appointments for about 2 months. That was fine, except that we would have had prescriptions run out in the meantime that would need to be refilled. They emphatically told us they couldn't help us with that and if we needed to get prescriptions we'd have to find a doctor that could see us sooner.
Are you serious?! Do they think that's really an appropriate customer service attitude? So asked to speak to the office manager, Jeanette, who was also very rude, kept speaking over me. I don't get employees who think that what they say is more important than the person they're talking to. Would they want to be spoken to that way if they were calling in???
Jeanette ended up hanging up on me. But before that she told me that all their phone calls are recorded. Well, Jeanette, that's against the law in California, so if that's true, your office needs to be reported to the FTC.
We called back and ended up speaking to another rude woman who also hung up on me. So I faxed a letter to Dr. Brana on 2/22 and it's been three days now and there has still been no reply.
This is not only unprofessional but it adds to the time for us to make appointments to see a doctor, putting our health in danger. My health is tenuous at best and we explained that in the fax to Dr. Brana.
If this is the way he treats patients, he's not going to be a successful doctor. read more
