They accused him of smoking because of how he looked and what he smelled like due to what transportation he took that had the order and sent him home and had the nerve to kick him out. Unfortunately one of their own employees who does not want to be named recorded the situation and you can see racial profiling at its finest and when he brings it up in the video you could see him stating it to them and they turn their back's this employee who sent us this information is also the same employee that tells us of all the workers and the drugs they take on their break and around the corner. This employee who does not want to be named was there as a witness and also stated that the company prefers the Hispanic culture over anybody else as it is the majority of the workers. This is wrong full and this is not OK once confirmed and brought to the tension of the company the receptionist did not care and stated that the boss could not speak with me had the nerve to tell me my lawyer pace to chase them if they want an answer when they hung up on my lawyers face yesterday two times and then the receptionist at my lawyers office One time. This company is ridiculously unprofessional biased in a slave working factory basically. I recommend if you are reading this do not work for the company and get out while you still can and if you were in employer from this company I really hope you guys focus on the bigger picture and do not discriminate against others as you are not allowed to tell somebody who looks and smells like he smokes weed to find out that he was clean you should focus on them ploys that work there and go around the corner to see what people are doing in their cars on their lunch breaks you guys have so much energy and time wasted into somebody you think is doing wrong when it's the people under your own nose.

However, and I hate for it to be a one time experience that makes me feel this way, but it does, today (8/4/26 in the AM), I showed up for an appointment with (what I thought) everything that I needed: ID, form for Biometric Screening through Cottage's Wellness benefit system, & freshly hydrated with no food on my stomach (lol). I ended up needing a Dr.'s order to get the labs drawn, & not just the Biometrics Screening Form (which I assumed, wrongfully, is all I needed). The communication from the front desk woman was.. horrid. Let's just say, for someone who has "15 years of experience," (her words, not mine), you would expect that her form of communication is simple, not off putting, & emotionless. Not her. After making it very clear that an order was needed, I was confused because I had been there before without a Dr.'s order (& I could've been completely wrong, and/or just couldn't remember - I had just gotten off from a 13 hr. shift). Instead of just ending the conversation there, advising me to contact my PCP to get an order, & reschedule she proceeds to point out, repeatedly, where it says an order is needed, repeats how long she's been doing her job (which is 15 years if you missed it the first time, lol) & as I'm walking out of the door, continues to advise me to "read the paper the next time." Freshly off from working a night shift, I 100% could've assumed wrong, and/or misread the form. But to be spoken to how I was, by someone who should know better, & be able to control her tone & emotions at 0800 is a horrible way for anyone to start/end their day. I will not be going back.. The one in Oxnard will get my business, & my referrals. & to whom ever she is, for her face to be the first face someone sees when entering the facility, is disgraceful (to say in the least).

I still followed their instructions and got a second opinion addressing the two concerns they originally told me about. After going through that entire process, I was suddenly told there was now a third issue they had never once communicated before. I even called twice beforehand specifically to confirm exactly what needed to be addressed by my doctor. Trying to get clarification afterward was a nightmare. I was transferred around repeatedly, sent to voicemail, and eventually told to speak with a manager who was "never available." The lack of transparency, communication, and professionalism made an already stressful process significantly worse. This clinic seriously needs to improve how they communicate with patients and handle sensitive career-impacting situations. I'd give 0 stars if I could.

I needed to have my preferred lab or MD send her the orders. She stated she would drop lab at insurance preferred lab. She then called them to verify which local office would be open today. I let her know my Daddy D can have tricky veins at 89 yo. Also he had an infusion appt following Tuesday. Carmen said she was going to be in Santa Barbara on Monday but if I got her the orders and sent his insurance information she could come in morning on Friday. I called another Mobile Phlebotomist as well, but didn't hear back from her until NY day. She said she said although her site advertises PEDs she also draws adults. By then I was set up with Carmen. But now we have a Back up. Carmen arrived at agreed upon time. She's very Pleasant, Efficient and Professional. She's also very Pretty which if Daddy D had been more awake - he'd have appreciated. He's not a morning person! BUT all good, he only 1/2 woke up for draw. Carmen was in and out in under 10 minutes! One poke. What a Blessing her service is!! She sent an invoice by text after she left. She'll be our new Best Friend. Daddy D gets drawn around once a month and it's hard to get him to lab. Plus we didn't want to take him out in the rain.

She is the only person who can draw blood without hurting me. She is the sweetest, kindest, woman you will ever meet and is always a pleasure to talk to - she eases your mind and makes you very comfortable and relaxed. If ever I get a lab slip to another place (like Quest), I have my doctor give me a generic one specifically so I can go to Primex. There is never any wait! She's in the little beige building directly to the left of the drive up liquor store on Loma Vista across from CMH. (see attached picture) Also, just an FYI, I love this place so much that I created this Yelp listing because it is impossible to find this location online. I want everyone to know how great it is!
