I would avoid this location at all costs. I have had my blood work done many times at other locations but this was my first time here. They are very unorganized, unable to manage when patients are signing in and who is to be seen next. I waited over an hour even though I was the second person to sign in. I walked in and there were several clients all crammed into a small waiting room and no one at the front desk. But this is not the worst of it. They say 3-5 days for lab results. I've been to a lot of quest Diagnostics locations and this one was by far the best. I made an appointment online which was very convenient. The day of, I was seen within 5 minutes of my arrival. Abraham was the technician who took my blood. He was so lovely and kept the conversation going so that I was distracted from the blood draw. My appointment was at 7:45 am and I was home by 8:00! I've been going to this Quest Diagnostics for the last 3-4 years, and I always make sure to return to this precise location, because not only is it conveniently located by my home, there is an awesome phlebotomist there. She has highlights in her hair and she always does a great job. She always has a smile on her face and is very courteous to everyone around! :) read more

I needed to do lab work after a fast and was unable to find any labs that had morning appointments. I arrived prepared to spend the morning waiting as a walk in and was pleasantly surprised that I had a 5 minute wait. Every one in there was very friendly and helpful. I wish I could give this place ZERO or a negative no. I went to this place last Saturday 10 minutes before closing (11:50 am) and they had already closed the doors. I knocked and begged them to open to just let me drop off a stool specimen. They ignored. I had already registered at a different location earlier in the week where I was given stuff to collect specimen in 3 days and bring other specimen the day collected; so I had to give that to them Saturday especially since it was a long holiday weekend. 4 other people came after me who were all under impression the place is open as stated on the website. The next door pharmacist who was the witness advised me use LabCorp on the 2nd floor, but I had to drop that off at Quest. After lots of knocking finally at 12:05 someone screamed from inside that they close at 12. Daaa...I was there 10 minutes before closing! Finally I called the customer service and someone from main office called and they still refused to open the door on me...and even worse, they LIED that the place was open till 12! In fact they didn't even answer phone calls since 10am (I have records). Finally I ended up going straight to one of their drop off labs in Orange that was 45 min away. All and all I wasted 4-5 hours just to drop off specimen. That was the time I could have spent withy family or worked overtime earning at least $100/hr (my hourly rate). I hope that they fire all the people at this location, or else I would not be going here again! read more

Unbelievable. I went to this Quest at approximately 3pm on a Tuesday. At first when I seen that there was no one there I was thinking "this won't take too long". WRONG.! The receptionist and the technician were talking about everything but work. The technician typed my paperwork extremely slow, she might have faster if she didn't stop every few seconds to talk to the receptionist. She asked me 3 different times how to spell my name, it might have help if she had understood English better. YELPERS, do you self a favor and go somewhere else, anywhere else. I treated both employee's with respect and manners. Too bad they didn't understand it's courteous if someone says 'Thank You and Have A Nice Day" to return the pleasantries. This is by far the worst of the worst Quest Labs I have ever been to. read more

Okay just yesterday I was reading where Whole Foods implemented a policy that as long as the workers were on the clock they needed to speak English. So today I rush over here six minutes before their lunch break. I give them my paper work and proceed to wait. Why were the two workers speaking in Vietnamese the whole time I am there?? They were going so strong I thought I was in a random nail salon. Sit down and pick your color ! Then another employee is walking out the door straight up at 1 pm they stop her and ask her how to implement my orders. At first I thought I was holding them up from going to lunch and 15 minutes out I realized they could not figure my orders out. They proceed to tell me that they need to reach my doctors office and no one was answering. Now I just left his office and it was packed so I know someone was still there. So I go to my car and call my doctors office and they not only answered they proceeded to tell me that this lab always gets this order wrong. A very simple order but not so much with such an inapt non English speaking staff. I am looking for a number any kind of customer service number to tell anyone who would listen to me about this horrific experience. Quest Diagnostics : You need to teach your employees and set standards about communication, no employee should be allowed to talk in another language to other employees, it's rude and shows lack of respect! This place does not even deserve a rating-- It is a lab owned by the stock market and as long as it is generating money, which it is, there is no one accountable for the performance of this medical facility. My husband, a liver transplantee had to go there for cancer pre surgery bloodwork. The person that did the bloodwork refused to listen to him (or didn't understand him) when he told her his veins were hard, scarred, and rolling. It is my understanding that Medical protocol is that after 2 pokes and no results, you must get another another person. This woman insisted that because she didn't get any blood, that didn't count!!!! ARE YOU SERIOUS? That is the point. You are supposed to know what you are doing! After leaving my husband bleeding to get more needles, and the third time, she finally got blood from the location he asked her to use initially. He came out white and shaking, wondering what his EKG would look like after this, and not the first ,but it will be the last, terrible experience with Quest Lab. Three hematomas, one on the hand that will require surgery, is just not acceptable. The woman needs to be fired. All of the locations we have been to are nasty, packed, and people are unhappy. Why is Quest contracted with anyone???? Because they have rich people on the stock market??? It sure isn't because they are good. I had a standing order for the blood work from my Hematologist. I am supposed to get blood test done twice a week for my pregnancy. Leaving alone the time I spent in the lab waiting for the prescription to be processed (I think this is a common complaint of many people - the waiting time), but the order was entered incorrectly. It was entered as a one-time order, instead of a standing order for 6 weeks (though it was written in the comments and underlined by the doctor "6 weeks". You can hardly miss it!). So today when I came for a second test to a different location (Irvine Laguna Canyon), the lady was not able to find my order. She said I had to call to my doctor's office and ask them to duplicate the order and send it by fax to that location (Irvine). I understand that things happen. But I am 37 weeks pregnant and it's not that easy for me to drive around Orange County for different tests; I still work and every time I go to the Lab I have to arrange it with my supervisor and I can't afford and tolerate loosing 1 hour during my lunch time just to find out my order was entered incorrectly and I have to come back after my doctor's office sends it again... It's just too overwhelming for me now. Usually people don't go to doctors and labs when they are healthy and full of energy. In my case I am (luckily) healthy; but being 9 months pregnant affects my ability to easily run errands and solve problems, especially other people mistakes... So I think Lab's staff should be more attentive and helping, rather then creating problems. read more

Very unhappy with their service. They totally ignored me. After my appointment at the other Quest lab in newport could not get processed because their computer system was down, I was sent to the one on Placentia and when I told them about it, they said they will send me in next. But they not only didn't honor my online appointment, they took others who came after me. I will never go back again. read more

Horrible experience twice in a row! My doctor told me to stop by and pick up a test kit--"just show them your order" she said. Well Lupe gave me the test but no instructions. Had to call corporate help line to get instructions. When I went back yesterday to get fasting blood work and turn in my kit, I was told I should've drunk "a lot" of water that morning before coming because my blood was slow. The tech, whose English was incomprehensible, poked one arm. Filled one vial. Then decided she liked the other arm better so went with that one for the other 3 vials. First arm has a HUGE bruise. The tech then took my kit, looked at it and informed me 2 tests still needed to be done and that Lupe had given me the wrong test because she "was probably too busy" when I stopped by. What?? This place is awful and I will never go to Quest again. Ever. read more

Worst Quest Lab - under staffed, average wait time is well over an hour. While waiting saw numerous people open the door and leave when the saw the number of people waiting. Need a receptionist so the techs can do the lab work. They have to sign people in do the paperwork than do the lab work. Awful service. I made an appointment and they lost it. I had to wait an hour and a half in the SRO waiting room to get my blood drawn. That same day they lost the appointments of two other people and one person's lab work prescription. If they are this sloppy with paperwork I wonder how good they really are at lab work. read more

Be ready if you go to the Quest Lab by Hoag Hosp. They are rude, condasending, and act non caring how long you wait, can't speak good english most of them, and they now use the LARGER GAUGE needles for cost lowering purposes. It is just so uncaring for any of us! Take care so you don't have to go there, you will NOT like the treatment you recieve from the staff or the lab techs. at all. Quest in General has terrible customer service. While with other labs in the area you can get lab results quickly as a patient, it is not true of any quest lab. Quest gives you the run around, sends you to an automated telephone line that goes no where. Lab corp and hoag are superior in customer service . Quest as a company needs to figure out how to step up their game as far as being competitive with other labs... In regards to customer service and become more user friendly with ease in getting lab results and easier access to being able to get ahold of their customer service on the phone read more

This is truly the worst experience I have had at any business/office. Yes, I had to go there twice in a row and both times, the woman running the place was rude and insensitive. I hate how the same person taking your money and working on the computers is the one taking your blood. I had horrible bruising from the blood draw and this has never happened to me before. Also, when she ordered me to a room, I sat down and noticed a HUGE drop of blood on the ground right in front of me from the last patient. Maybe they could clean the room before the next person comes in? She literally acts like "how dare you bother me" instead of having any sort of greeting or customer service. I am truly shocked this woman keeps her job! Additionally, I do not understand any of my invoices and I think Quest counts on that. The mean lady at the lab demanded a credit card and little did I know I was "authorizing" money to be taken out. Demand a bill and don't give a credit card! Her English is very hard to understand and I was just so startled that I gave her a card. I am sure they count on that. Their customer service number is more of the same. After waiting on hold for 35 minutes, I still did not have my questions answered. The operator's English was hard to understand and it was garbled. Again, I am sure they just want to exasperate all of these patients and then we just pay to get them out of our lives. I will be BEGGING my doctor not to use Quest! read more

Worst service EVER. The lady at the front desk was incredibly rude and unfriendly. When I told her I didn't have insurance, she looked at me like I was vermin from the swamp. She didn't greet me or say ONE word to me when I came in. I waited over 20 minutes and here was no one in the waiting room. When she told me how much my lab would cost for a routine thyroid check, $255, I left. I decided to go to Lab Corp instead. They charged only $85 and were VERY friendly! read more

Poor technical skills. When they were done I had a bruise and mark 1 1/2 times a silver dollar. I had to wear a long sleeve shirt to work during a heat wave to cover my horrible looking black, blue and yellow mark. read more

Would like to give no stars! I have been to this facility for many, many years, it just keeps getting worse. Today was horrible, I actually left and went to Lab Corp right around the corner once someone mentioned it was so close. Rude staff, I've had labs drawn and they have missed drawing special tubes for certain labs and they have called me back via phone to come back in to be poked again! Just horrible non-communicative staff, they don't listen to you talk, they have horrible communication skills and interpersonal skills. I have watched how they treat other clients, and was appalled! I have more than once made appointments online and printed out confirmations and shown to staff and they say I'm not on schedule, then they say that they will try to fit you in when there are 2 people sitting in waiting area! Now that I learned Lab Corp is within walking distance from this location I am joyfully transferring over!!!! read more
