They are stabbing me with a needle, so there can be no 5 stars for that; however... the phlebotomist is able to hit a vein on the first try every time, and I have been told I am difficult by others. If you dont want to wait an hour, show up 20 minutes BEFORE they open. Then you'll be first in line. ;-) There are only 2-3 nurses in there poking people, and a lot of folks need their blood checked, so expect to wait otherwise. No real complaints from me except that I'm not a fan of needles, and certainly not a fan of being poked by them. Wash your hands if you have to pee or shit in a cup. This morning I walked into Quest Diagnostics very early 6:20 AM to be the first non-appointment patient. By 7:15 the entire waiting room was full of people, yet no quest employee present. This was highly unusual. I've been there many times and this was a first. Figuring life happens to us all; we oversleep, the car breaks down, the babysitter doesn't arrive, we're sick in bed and just slept through the alarm, this is life this is what happens. I knew someone would show up soon and I silently blessed everyone waiting and the employees. When an employee showed up a few of us cheered and clapped. It was clear she was surprised to see the lab closed, but this petite Asian woman, I wish I knew her name, calmly and efficiently went right to work. She called me in within five minutes of signing in. She drew my blood with a pleasant calm friendly demeanor and smile. She shared with me that two people had taken the day off but somehow there was a mixup and the people who were scheduled to replace them were not scheduled at the correct times. We are all human and mistakes happen. It's how we respond to life's surprises and ups & downs that makes all the difference in the world. When I left I saw an elderly patient having difficultly using the computer to sign in. There was another patient helping her. When we look beyond ideas of right and wrong, good and bad we can be thoughtful, kind and helpful like the lab technician. She turned a potentially frustrating difficult situation into a pleasant one. I believe the fact that she remained calm had a positive effect on everyone. read more

When I checked in the place was packed. I asked the receptionist if she could confirm my orders were in the system before I had to wait. I was recently there for some blood tests. The lady that took my blood was terrible! Poked me 3 times and left terrible bruises on my right and left arm. I've been here many times and never had such a terrible experience. read more

We chose this place because they're open on a Saturday and was close to home. We called for an appointment but was told to just walk in. We got to the office 930 only to find there was a crowd of people waiting. We take the sign in sheet and find that the next person in line has been waiting since 845am. Needless to say, we were screwed. I turn around and grumpily sit on floor of the lobby where every other hungry and grumpy patients are. An hour and a haff later, I was finally on my way out to find whatever food I can find nearby. Make an appointment! If they say no, demand it. It'll be worth it. read more

I have experienced better at many other Quest Diagnostics locations. I arrived on a Monday for the appointment that I made online and was promptly ignored at the window. I asked if I should leave my lap slip and the person said; "You can if you want", I said this is where I should drop off the lab slip correct and was told yes. so I handed the staff person my lab slip and took a seat. On the plus side I did not need to wait long. I was there to give a blood sample and I was treated nicely by the person that took my blood. This was the first time in my life that I felt pain throughout the experience. It felt like the needle was moving around in my arm during the entire process. It is now Friday and my arm is all yellow and black, bruised and sore. My wife had a similar experience. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS. I scheduled a glucose tolerance test there for my pregnancy and had to fast for 12hrs straight (and if you've been pregnant before, you know that can make you delirious). I show up at 9:45AM and after 20mins they call me up saying they don't know whether I'm doing a 2hr or 3hr test with the doctor order I gave them(obviously a 2hr since the 3hr is meant for people who failed their initial test). I told them 2hr and they stated they can't take me in without verifying with my doctor. I call my doctor and I verify with them- ALSO sending in another doctor's order to Labcorp. They still didn't budge- saying they never sent a full order WHEN THEY DID. Almost an HOUR from when my appointment started - I'm on the phone with my doctor and they're getting upset as well since the lady at the front obviously did know how to do her phucking job. When billions of times I told her a 2HR TEST and then finally said, 'Oh! We got the order! BUT YOU'LL HAVE TO RESCHEDULE YOUR APPOINTMENT' WTF! It was YOUR fault not knowing how to do your goddamn job! This is NOT a doctor's office where the doctor can't see me anymore. I could have still simply drank the goddamn glucose drink and sat in the lobby but they refused to take me, off of THEIR MISTAKE. I get downstairs and I ended up blacking out by the front entrance from not having anything for the past several hours/NO NUTRITION and I'm 7 months PREGNANT. A couple of people happened to see me fall over so they went to the cafe and got me some orange juice and a nutrition bar to help. NEVER THE PHUCK AGAIN. I WOULD NEVER SEND ANYONE HERE- EVEN IF I HATED THEM. read more

Horrible! I had a 1:45 appointment. There was one person in the waiting room when I arrived. She was called back, finished and left. Then I waited and waited......over 25 minutes?????? When I asked, I was told, "Ya, she will call you in a minute." Awesome! Seriously???? After 30 minutes, I asked again. I was told that she had to "edit" my order because she forgot to put down 2 of the tests that my doctor ordered! Wth???? Um ya! FINALLY had my blood drawn 35 minutes AFTER my appointment time with NO ONE waiting. Not feeling very confident about this place. read more

I wish they had 0 stars. This place is run by a bunch of Nasty and rude employees who do not want to be here. All that they were worried about before me even getting in was me paying the amount of 180.00. Even though I have insurance and have this test done all the time she wanted the $180.00 from me. I asked do you not take CIGNA and she said yes but to pay and then just submit to your insurance for them to pay you back. Today,March 20, just came to this lab and waited for more than an hour before they called me. After 35 minutes of waiting, I approached the receptionist and found out that my paperwork was set aside not knowing that my standing order was expired. Upon knowing of this expiration, it was only then that they have to contact my doctor to get a new standing order to be faced to them. In short, if I did not approach the receptionist I should have waited there longer than an hour not knowing what the problem was.....receptionist staff needs more training..... read more

They are really slow and need to improve their system. This facility is way slow compared to their Lakewood facility. I'm not going back here. Previous Yelpers were correct. This was the closest facility to my doctor's office and I opted to go here. But since I was on a 12-hour fast, I couldn't stay longer. I checked in as soon I arrived and left after 20 minutes when my name has not been called. I went to the Lakewood facility and blood was drawn within the 15 minutes I was there. read more

I made an appointment online at 7:45am today and everything went smooth. Only thing I was very annoyed by is that when we got to the window to sign in the lady in the front was conversating with her coworker and I had questions so when she would talk to me and I would ask a questions she would ignore me...that was very unprofessional. I would never do that to a patient. But anyways the phlebotomist that assisted me was very nice and professional. Her name is Patty. She explained what tests my doctor ordered and even though he ordered confusing lab tests she explained herself very well. She was fast and it didn't hurt. She was awesome! :) The lab room was very clean and Patty confirmed I was the correct patient which is always important. Overall experience it was okay. Dont bring your babies here!!! I brought my daughter here when she turned one. I will NEVER bring any of my children to this location. The nurses could not find my daughter's vein and where moving the needle around to try and find it. My poor baby girl was screaming her head off at the pain literally breaking my heart. Not to mention that she had to get re-poked several times because they just could not find her veins all while my daughter was just in pain. Finally one of the other guys came in and frustrated it would seem and literally like pinned down my daughters arm and still all while she cried in protest and finally was able to get the blood drawn. My daughter would not stop crying for hours later. Worst experience of a parents life. My mother who was with me was also very angry. Now im looking for my son a location with a phlebotomist experienced with children because this place was not experienced at all. NEVER AGAIN!!! read more

From what I've seen from the reviews, it's definitely best to come during the week. I came in for a Thursday appointment at 10:00 and only had to wait about 5 minutes. Everyone I spoke with was very friendly, including the Phlebotomists. I never enjoy going to the doctors, and this place made the experience as quick and painless as possible. I'd definitely recommend this place if you can get a weekday appointment. read more

Don't recommend this place. My daughter got her 9 months blood test and the nurse couldn't find her vein and still I surfed the needle and move it and i know for a fact that hurt my daughter started screaming at the movement. Don't bring your baby here it's not professional if a nurse can't find a vein well enough to not hurt a patient. read more

There is nothing wrong with this place, earlier the better less wait time as the elderly does crowd the waiting room the later it gets. The receptionist yea a little snobby, just ignore it, your there to give blood or whatever, so to help in your healing. The women who take your blood, are professional, and happy to me. read more

Rude receptionist, I don't think she is a happy person. Try not to ask her a question unless she calls your name. DO NOT visit unless you make an appointment online, if you call you will be told to just come in and then you will have to wait (I think that they are too lazy to make appointments). Also make sure you have your insurance card and a "Quest Request" or the receptionist will give you a hard time. I had a UCLA lab slip and since it did not have my doctors phone number I was refused. I will NEVER go back here. The other negative reviews are very accurate of this location. read more
