This place is great. It is available as a quick place to come when your physicians sends you for tests. I appreciate that they have ample parking in the private lot. I also appreciate that there is a coffee stand inside so that was great. I I do recommend because they're professional here. read more

Changed location inside of the building. New space is much better and more spacious. Simple check-in. I've had two blood draws with two different people and both were great! No issues. I am absolutely surprised by their current ratings and reviews and thought I'd share that I didn't have any issues at all receiving treatment here. 5 stars well deserved :) read more

Very clean place, great staff and Service! I made an appointment and everything went smooth and fast! I must admit that the staff told me I just made it after rush-hour but Definitely way better than LabCorp where I waited two hours after my appointment time just to get denied! read more

The red hair phlebotomist is horrible at drawing blood. She is always in a hurry & seems annoyed at everything. She did my blood draw wrong then said " it didn't work" after the painful poke, she was fishing around for the vein. My forearm ended up swelling for 2 days. I filed 2 complaints, and heard nothing back from anyone. I would not recommend getting a blood draw from quest. read more

The last quest I went to took hours for a walk in and I was there right at 7am. Was here around 9am on a Monday and the wait wasn't nearly as crazy. The front kiosk mandatory thing is silly and I've watched both disabled and elderly really struggle with it. There should be an actual human available. I helped a couple people at both locations. Would be good to stop showing non-stop commercials on TVs. I did not consent to this brainwashing. It's loud and hard to avoid. Between that and the flickering fluorescent lights this space is triggering. Beware people with brain/auditory/visial issues - I brought ear plugs and sunglasses and it still wasn't enough. read more

Maybe I got lucky but the check in process was easy to navigate, I got here at 8:20 ish on a thursday and was out by 8:40. Not an exceptionally positive experience but not a difficult one at all, which is honestly all I need when I'm getting blood work. Bring a book if you're concerned about the wait read more

Went in for a blood draw and the staff was super kind and professional, phlebotomist cared for me after I had a bad reaction(I'm afraid of needles) and made me feel extremely comfortable, bringing water and a wet cloth for me Wait was also very fast as I was a walk in and only waited about 10 minutes with other walk-ins ahead of me read more

They are supposed to open at 7:00. It's 7:45 and nobody is here. Door is locked. Have a 7:10 appointment. 15 people waiting for the door to open. Finally an employee shows up but he doesn't have the key. The employee who was supposed to open never showed up. They are waiting for a supervisor to come and bring a key. Totally unacceptable. We are fasting and angry. I would leave but it's impossible yo get an early appointment short notice. read more

I came her as a walk in and after checking in and waiting over 30 minutes i noticed my name wasn't showing up on the screen so i asked and for some reason my check in failed and the person i spoke to didn't care i had already been waiting for over 45 minutes and said i had to check in again and wait! this is the slowest quest i have ever been to and they have 3 people drawing blood! it's insane and i don't recommend coming in if you don't have an appointment which by the way is not easy either because all the appointments are booked and you have to wait for days to get in! Quest do better please read more

The only tough part about this location is that it's hard to find like being lost in a maze. I went around the building 3-4 times trying to locate it. No sign mentioned it inside the building. Parking is enough but a little far. Fast check in and short wait time, around 15 minutes. read more

hours are wrong, staff may yell at you, we recommend taking your specimens elsewhere.

I had to take a disabled person in to get blood work done. Isabella and Christian were extremely polite and professional. It is a very busy site and the two of them were working very hard to get patients attended to. I had a lot of questions and they answered all as asked. The person I took in is not an easy stick, but Christian was very careful, patient, and successful in accomplishing the task at hand. Thank you for hiring quality staff. It is appreciated. read more

Wait time as a walk in was only 15 minutes. The good ended there. The kiosk is easy to use for some, not all. Witnessed two people really struggle and there was only one worker, the phlebotomist who was busy drawing blood. With an attitude, she told an older gentleman who didn't speak English, "I showed you how to do this last time". He asked for help again, she acquiesced. They should have front desk staff to help register folks. Not everyone is tech savvy. My bigger issue is with the "blood spatter" look right next to the blood draw chair in room two. I was told it was paint but there is nothing red anywhere in that room. That coupled with questionable glove practice is enough to make me not go back. Gloves should be put on before drawing the specimen, she touched everything from the computer and supplies and then came to collect my blood. Make sure to ask them to change gloves if you see this! read more

The fastest Quest in town, I am glad I picked this location instead of calling any other Quest for appointment, it was a bit of a drive, but on the 2:30 PM traffic, I took the 52 then 125 to get here was a smooth drive, spacious parking lot, a large building with a lot of offices, required some time to walk and navigate, but it is located on the 2nd level suite 285, you can basically got a walk in appointment as long as you put your name into a system, and especially if you're not here for drug screening, the process was super quick in less than 15 minutes. I gave kudos to all the staffs here and help my relatives get their blood work done so quickly. read more

Not happy waited really really long & no one ever came out to even ask questions to. There is no way to get help outside of talking to someone & they call names from Mid back of a hallway. This is clearly on purpose so they aren't bothered outside of bloodwork. I'm hopeful I'll get my results back quickly because that's what they are known for a quick email turn around but holy smokes waited FOREVER!! wouldn't suggest this location at all. Clearly a drug test location which is why I think there is such a super long wait as well. I don't think it should state no one is being helped in the back but there are literally 10 ppl waiting in the lobby. Wish the review was over but then get the back & the person that pulls blood is terrible! Oh my goodness note I'm pregnant super visible & I'm friendly. Ppl are typically at minimum nice to pregnant ppl. Luckily he warmed up to the end read more

this is the second location where I have checked in online, went in to wait and was told I never checked in. I had fasting labs so I was scheduled for 10:30am, and I checked in at 10:32am. went into the office and was still sitting there and hour later. When I told the 2 staff members that I'd been waiting an hour they said I should check in, I said I did and they demanded proof, which I didn't know how to give, because the automated check in system on the computer should've relayed that info. I ended up having to get on a wait list because the kiosk said I missed my appointment. one of the staff members left while I was waiting and then there was one person working and 10 people in the waiting room. I left at noon without getting served, because my bloodwork required a fast and I couldn't sit there any longer without pasing out. Quest is a joke. They need to get it together read more

If I could rate this LOCATION zero or negative stars, I would. I had a set appointment, arrived 10 minutes early (on my lunch break), checked in via my phone, and waited 50 minutes to NOT be seen. Like I saw in a previous review, there is no one up front. So, as I patiently waited, I saw I was going to be late for work if I was not chosen soon. These tests are important for my wife and myself, so I decided to wait a little longer but now standing at the empty front desk. I'm not going to run a blow-by-blow with my interaction with the tech that day, but she is honestly in a crappy situation where she is overworked, understaffed, and started taking it out on me. She refused to look at my authorization on my phone (my fault, didn't know to print it, do now) and made me go back to the waiting room instead of working with what I had for her and allowing me to email her the document so it was in my file later. I was forced back to the waiting room for however longer it would take to have another tech get me. This was incredibly unnecessary and frustrating. What tells me that it is a location issue and not a company-wide issue, is that I was able to schedule a last minute appointment the SAME DAY for the same tests in the hillcrest location, was greeted by smiling/happy and accommodating techs and waited less than 5 minutes to get seen. The entire interaction took 15 minutes at most. Do not go here. Go anywhere else and get better care. read more

I have read the comments after my experience today. I am giving 5 stars because the staff was amazing and kind. I went in as self pay, not knowing that there is not a receptionist. So I can see why so many comments are angry without having that. I also didn't know you couldn't pay there, you have to do it online if you are self pay. With that said, I wish I got the names of the 2 that helped me. The girl was young with beautiful aburn hair. She made me feel comfortable. With all the angry comments, the employees work for Quest and they cannot be receptionists, the company just does not have that. read more

Coming back after 5 years and it is the same. I thought maybe after 5 years I'd give it a shot. I can't recommend it enough to anyone to not go here. It's so unprofessional, no one is working the desk at 10am, there's over 12 people inside the tiny office and a huge line to check in on the ONE kiosk they have which isn't working properly. No one helping the poor woman holding up the line who can't check in. I hate this place. I straight up walked out and will be going somewhere else for a simple drug screening. read more

Made an appointment yesterday but had to return to my previous errand to retrieve my credit card so I missed my appointment time. Decided to try coming in as a walk in anyways and was pleasantly surprised how quickly they got me in and out. There were only 2 people in front of me so I didn't wait long. Then the nice girl who did my blood draw had problems getting my insurance input but she kept trying until it eventually took saving me $100. Super happy with my experience, thank you! read more

Had to do a drug screening for a job and the people here are terrible. As soon as I walk in I get asked if I have an appointment, I replied no, the girl in the front just looks at me and says: "Don't bother checking in." I came to this location because on the website started walk-ins are welcome. Not so welcoming according to the staff here. Just like the girl said it me... don't brother going here if you're a walk-in. read more

Had to get some blood work done and had an appointment. Got seen a few minutes early and lab tech was fast, friendly, and efficient. Didn't like that you have to use a kiosk to check in and have your ID and insurance card scanned. I had a question and no one is out front to assist you. Still professional facilities and didn't mind going. read more

Truly only of the most intentionally poorly run companies out there. Nobody works at the front desk, nobody answers the phones, very intentionally so you can't ask questions. The only people who care are the employees, who are caught between their patients and incompetent management, by design of said management. Only go to Quest Diagnostics if you absolutely have to, otherwise avoid at all costs. read more

Ridiculous wait times. Not the staffs fault that this is a ridiculously busy location but they are also not very accommodating. Would recommend an appointment if possible or another location especially if you aren't able to make an appointment and need to "walk in". read more

I would put 0 stars if I could. Absolute waste of time. Awful service. Don't even bother. This place should burn

I hope you only have to visit here once and keep physical copies of all orders from your doctor/employer etc. I've been on a medication that requires 6 months of blood samples for monitoring. My Derm's office uses QuestDiagnostics. I've been to more than 6 or 7 visits at over 3 different Quest clinics. EVERY single time they have forgotten my orders, made me miss or reschedule appointments , have been unprofessional and basically a pain in the butt to deal with. read more

AVOID THIS LOCATION AT ALL COST. I was here recently and they leave patient samples with name, DOB, etc on the counters in plain view for everyone to see and tamper with. Not HIPAA Compliant. Would not provide supervisor information to make a complaint so I filed a report with the BBB and HIPAA. SHUT THIS PLACE DOWN. HIRE STAFF WITH ACTUAL COMMON SENSE AND TRAINING. This place is trash. If you care about your privacy and safe handling of your samples, go elsewhere. read more

This place is fine in terms of the fact that sometimes you just *have* to use places like this for certain types of testing... it's clean enough, but come early and come prepared, and schedule an appointment. You need to be completely aware of what you need as it really depends on who is there and whether or not they're properly trained in all processes. My arm is still bruised almost a week later after a blood draw-- not the best experience considering I am pregnant and get my blood drawn a lot these days. Someone with more experience doing this, won't bruise you and damage your veins with rough movement and inaccuracy. read more

I I have to get blood work done regularly and I get it done at Quest Diagnostics. I love the one on Fletcher Parkway in La Mesa. Every time I go there the staff who draw my blood are super nice and very professional at their job because I hardly feel when they put the needle in it's a very faint pinch I wish every time I had to get blood drawn the people who did it were like the Quest Diagnostics people on Fletcher Parkway in La Mesa. Emelda drew my blood today she was great super quick and super sweet thanks Quest Diagnostics for making an uncomfortable situation comfortable. read more

So this location is in La Mesa off of Fletcher far surpasses the location right over by Garfield (which I've visited multiple times). Located on the second floor of a medical office building easily accessible via stairs or elevator. This location like all other Quest requires you to check in on a tablet quosk and wait to be called to furnish your paperwork or confirm your lab orders in the system/faxed in. Over the many times I've been here I've yet to have bad experience. The phlebotomist(person who draws your blood sample) have been efficent and sweet. I use to be a "hard stick"(16x before blood would be drawn in my youth when I was obese) but each time I've been here the lovely ladies have been perfect and draw blood on the first try all without making it hurt. My hats off to these girls. Large enough waiting room means you wont feel crowded like cattle waiting slaughter. The location is clean and they do have a TV to help pass the time if you do have to wait(longest I've had to wait was 30min without an appointment and thats additionally because my drs office forgot to fax over the lab order). I usually go in the early AM shortly after they open so I cant say about the afternoon rush but definitely the Quest I prefer to visit. read more

Really confused about the mixed reviews, but here's my experience. I'm taking a phlebotomy program while I'm in between semesters at college and needed to get a titers test to prove my immunity to MMR, chicken pox, and hep B. I currently don't have health insurance and decided to go to a cvs minute clinic to get a Tdap booster shot and a referral to get a titers test. I ended up paying 154$ for the visit and tdap booster at cvs and was given a referral to quest diagnostics. I googled the company and scheduled a visit online for two days later. I felt a little concerned given the amount of mixed reviews at various locations, but ultimately settled on this one since it's closer to my house. I scheduled my appointment for 2 pm and arrived and check in at the kiosk at 1:45 and was greeted within a few minutes since there was no one sitting at the front desk. After a few minutes of waiting, I was taken back to get my blood draw(still before my actual appointment time). At this point the woman who was helping me out asked if I had insurance and was going over the tests and the pricing for each of them. I honestly had already expected to probably pay a couple hundred bucks since I didn't have insurance, but when it came down to it, the final price for getting a titers to prove my immunity to MMR, chickenpox, and hep B plus the fee to actually draw the blood which is around 20$, the price was well over 600$!!! I was so surprised, but figured I had to pay it. Luckily, the woman who helped me and her co worker both thought those prices were absolutely ridiculous and way too expensive. They told me about this website called Ulta labs where I could create an account, order my own labs without a doctors referral, and that it would cost significantly less. I went back out into the lobby and spent about 5 minutes creating an account, ordering my labs, and paying for it. Now, when I tell you that it was significantly less, it really was! It went from being well over 600$ to 229$! I was blown away and really happy! Plus the overall blood draw was painless and the staff members who helped me were very nice and I appreciated them telling me about Ulta labs and saving me a lot of money!! read more

DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT GO HERE! I had a scheduled apt for 2 pm and wasnt seen until 2:40. I should have listened to the reviews. There are so many things wrong with this location. For one its almost like a maze just trying to find the place. Two there is no one working the front counter. They have this kiosk to check in and mind you no one I mean NO ONE checks it. The techs literally call names from mid hallway lord forbid they have to have any interactions with any patients. After I yelled "HELLO" Is there anyone there for a min straight a technician finally popped out, I told her I had a scheduled apt at 2:00 pm and it was now 2:40! I will admit I was already frustrated due to the fact that in a room full of 10 people only 1 name had been called the entire time!! The technician called my name after about 5 more mins in which she began to tell me that they were short staffed and had a big work load that she alone couldnt handle it and she admitted she has an attitude because patients have attitudes. NOT OK. There is obviously a huge staffing problem at this location that needs to be addressed. Management needs to step in and fix this. As a customer service manager this is unacceptable. I will never ever make another apt here at this location again. read more
