I thought if I went to this Marque Urgent Care Clinic yesterday to ask one of their Doctors to give me a Blood Test and an Ultrasound on my right leg which I was experiencing moderate to severe pain that feels like a tingling sensation from underneath my right knee down towards my right foot. I also have swelling in my right leg and my skin on the front and back of my right leg is warm to the touch. These symptoms that I am describing are signs of a Blood Clot in my right leg and I was advised by my nurse to walk into this Marque Urgent Care Clinic yesterday. A blood clot is a very serious medical condition. It's a medical emergency. When I called yesterday at 4 PM I got an answering machine that said ALL OF THERE MEDICAL STAFF IS BUSY AND LEAVE A MESSAGE. I did leave my full name and my cell phone number to call me back ASAP. This Marque Urgent Care Clinic NEVER called me back yesterday and I have a serious Blood Clot in my right Leg, if this blood clot breaks off it can move up to my heart and I can have a Heart Attack and Die.

From start to finish, my experience at Sharp Grossmont's Emergency Department was exceptional. From check-in, to being escorted to triage, to every interaction throughout my visit, every single point of contact was friendly, efficient, and thorough. What stood out to me most was how genuinely kind and positive everyone was. Every staff member seemed to take pride in what they were doing. They did their jobs efficiently and thoroughly, while still making me feel cared for as a person. I've had experiences in other emergency rooms before, and this was by far the best experience I've had, especially considering the circumstances that brought me there. A very special thank you to Dr. Alex Kim, who sutured the wound above my eye. Having an injury on my face was obviously stressful, and I was concerned about how it would heal. Dr. Kim was extremely professional and meticulous, took his time, and made me feel completely at ease throughout the repair. I can already barely see the incision, and I am incredibly grateful for the care and attention he put into his work. No one wants to find themselves in an emergency room, but I walked away from this experience feeling incredibly grateful. This puts the nurses and other staff at risk. What if there is a mental breakdown and the staff become endangered because understaffing? Security? What if security can't make it in time? Listen to your staff, because I have been in group homes in the past where the patients/clients overwhelmed the staff. This is a liability and if you don't want your staff to sue for injuries AFTER requesting for more staffing, add more staff. A lawsuit would cost you more money than staffing the damn psych ward. Before anyone says anything.... I am the one who noticed the staffing issue. I asked about it because I know for a fact it's unsafe.... And I was told by said staff that they have TRIED to request more staff. I was not asked to do this, I am doing this because I saw a real safety issue. Do better!
