Had a not so great experience at this location. I arrived to my appointment and registered 10 minutes before my appointed time. Was texted to come inside and wait. But waited like 30 minutes kore before getting seen after being the second in queue and being bumped to second by 4 other names every time the board updated. I was pressed for time since I needed to get back to work. The young lady that attended me didnt give me her name. I wish she had she was kind and really good at what she does. This particular day there was a leak at another location and this location and the management handled it so well! Jocelyn did my testing and as an MA I pay attention when getting blood drawn, she was very cautious to not move the needle around when switching tubes and made sure i was all good before walking out. Stay away from this lab! The doctors Scheduled last minute and urgent surgery for my wife the following Wednesday. We went to Quest and the line was out the door. The automated check in advised they were full for the rest of the day. I pleaded with several staff to help get my wife in for blood work. I offered to wait as long as it took. I was willing to pay extra. But, they refused to help. They told us to leave. It was like living in a socialist country. My wife and I both felt like we had no dignity. We left and found a Lab corp facility at closing time. Lab Corp also advised they were full for the rest of the day. I explained our situation to the nice lady. I've been here multiple times over the years and would rate my experience as okay, u til my most recent visit. There was a student assisting the phlebotomist and when asked if the student could do my blood work, I was happy to oblige. I wish I hadn't been as the phlebotomist didn't watch the process, and the student didn't properly prepare me. She stuck a needle in that hurt like nothing I've ever experienced, without so much as asking me to pump my fist and get the blood moving. Weeks later I'm still bruised, and despite emailing my concerns to Quest as well as filling out the survey they emailed me, no one has followed up with me. Had to wait over 20 minutes for someone to finally come to the front of the location and ask if I was picking up sample cups. No receptionist and a very sad excuse for a check in program. The staff were great but either the hiring manager for this location or for your company in general is seriously lacking. Explain to me why you are not fully staffed when your location is in the middle of at least two retirement communities who have residents coming in for standard tests plus the general public. This Quest is an absolute joke. Wait time in unbelievable, even for appointments. They have the TV volume on 1000 and everyone is talking over it, took everything in me not to freak out from sensory overload. I do however feel sympathy for the ladies that work there. If I could give zero stars I would. This is the worst lab I've ever been to from Livingston, TX to League City! No front desk staff, ridiculous little check in screens, rudest staff I've ever dealt with, computers that don't work and a phlebotomist who doesn't know how to do her job! The staff is so rude! Apparently it seems that their front desk staff is not in today so the phlebotomist have to walk a few more feet? I'm not really sure why they are all so sour faced and short with all the patients but it's becoming slightly comical. This one staff member is constantly rolling her eyes like we are all giant inconveniences for her. Even accompanying one eye roll with an audible sigh and "oh dear lord!" when there was a confusion because two waiting patients shared the same name. I'm sitting here and feel like a gambling with my cubical vein! Which phlebotomist will less likely hurt me and my deep, rolling hard to reach veins. Will I lose the gamble and end up with the sour face eye roller? The newbie who in a panic whisper explains "we have no front desk today"? Please let me be called by the one phlebotomist who seems to be smiling and engaged no matter how chaotic things are when one is short staffed. Luck is on my side. I got called by the cheerful one! She carefully checks both arms to find the perfect vein smiling and keeping me distracted and talking the entire time. She settles on a deep but large vein on my preferred arm and in one stick and a wiggle she's got the vein and we are done. All in all my walk-in visit took about a little over an hour with well over 10 people ahead of me and what appeared only 3 people working and that alone deserves the 3 stars. What they lack in bedside manner they certainly make up for in efficiency. But there's something really awesome when a place achieves a balance of both. A hour wait still is a chunk of time and noone spending money and time at a business deserves attitude from their employee. read more
