I checked in and had to wait for 1+hr but as soon as my name was called, I walked in and the kind gentleman took my blood with single needle. I can tell that he has good amount of experiences as he inserted it in my vein without pain. Next time when I come in, I'll definitely make an appointment so you can save time. My physician was kind enough to send my laboratory tests to Quest Diagnostics so I wouldn't have to drive into the city, as the Texas Medical Center is an hour away from my neighborhood. This location was the closest to me, but it was my first and last visit. Instead of having staff at the front desk to check in patients, they use iPad-like tablets for self-check-in. However, only one of the tablets was working. When I needed to enter my medical insurance information, I required assistance. Since there were no employees at the front lobby, the only person I could ask for help was a phlebotomist who had just called another patient. The patient kindly allowed him to assist me, as she had experienced the same issue with the tablet. The phlebotomist seemed frustrated and acted as if the process should have been self-explanatory, but the tablet was nearly dead and malfunctioning. Throughout the interaction, he had a rude attitude and tried to belittle me, even though the issue was with the system, not me. It's unacceptable to be treated this way while simply trying to follow my doctor's orders and complete necessary lab work. No one should have to go through such an experience. read more

My recent visit to this facility has been a gift that keeps giving, but not in a good way. I would only recommend this place if you enjoy when a routine blood draw during a yearly check up leaves you sore and bruised for days afterwards. I'm in my 30s and overall very healthy, no preexisting conditions, do not bruise easily at all. Have had blood drawn before, as most adults have a time or two, and this has never happened. Included are progression pictures of each day after said blood draw on Friday, Dec. 20. Now looking ahead to a visit with a different doctor to make sure this isn't infected or anything. If I could give Quest Diagnostics a thousand negative stars? I would. Their appointment system is designed to suck hours from your life, just to save Quest a few dollars cost of a receptionist. My experience was ridiculous. This was a simple pick-up-a-pee-bottle, and bring it back the next day. When I got to their office, they told me to visit their kiosk, and get on stand-by and wait for an hour or two. With no chairs left. Or make an appointment for later that day. I have work. I can't. I had to badger the worker. "Just bring me the bottle...please?" It took her about 12 seconds. Well... Whaddaya know? The wait was apparently unnecessary. But it gets worse. Way worse. She advised me to bring it back tomorrow morning...as soon as possible. Unfortunately? That wasn't possible. You can ONLY make an appointment on-line at their website. There were no available times when I could get free for 2 days. So I came back early, as a stand-by. 8:00 AM. When I got there? The automated system gave me a 10:00 AM time. 2 hours away. Again...standing room only. For 2 hours. Meanwhile? I had to get to work. So I took the 10 AM time anyway. OH, WAIT... THAT TIME DISAPPEARED. The next available time? Now 2:30. So- I already missing work. Now, I would have to drive BACK to work- then take off early - And drive BACK to Quest once again... JUST TO DROP OFF A PEE CONTAINER!!!! A human could have processed this in about 60 seconds. "Sure, I'll take that! Just sign right here!" Instead? Their appointment system is designed to save them 60 seconds, and make YOUR life incredibly inconvenient. In my case? Making me come THREE TIMES, and spend 2 hours, in the middle of the day. FOR A PEE BOTTLE RETURN. Why? To save about $120 bucks a day... For an office that probably nets (judging by the line) about a 2-4 thousand dollars an hour. I have run offices. I know exactly what this is. A human being could take care of this in about 30 seconds... Instead, this system cost me (and you) hours and hours, to save them that 30 seconds. Instead of paying a scheduler/receptionist $120 a day? They make YOU jump through flaming hoops, over and over. That's about one test worth of profit. I guarantee you- The owners of Quest are making boatloads of cash. Paying a receptionist would be like throwing a deck chair off the Queen Mary. But they don't. Because they don't care about people. They care about money. Exclusively. I will NEVER use Quest Diagnostics again. NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER. Did I say "never? NEVERRRRRR!!!!!!!!! My experiences have been amazing here. This location gets really busy and they run a tight schedule. They take walk ins and appointments but be prepared to wait if you have a walk in. These lady's work so hard and are keeping the schedule running. Please be considerate and kind, as they are humans as well. Every time I visit, which has been often, I always witness unkind people who think they are so entitled. It's ok for these lady's to take a break or lunch if they are literally running around every second. Just because you think a procedure takes less than 5 mins, doesn't mean you deserve it when you want it. There's a system they follow and they are doing great. I had an appointment and arrived on time. I was glad to be called back immediately. I was told I had to order and pay for my labs online as my doctor doesn't order them. I was told to sit on a bench and take care of that prior to my draw. No problem. However, she then called back a family of 6 who all arrived together to have blood draws. They had multiple issues with the orders and insurance which led to multiple phone calls. I sat there for an HOUR while she tried to take care of them. She never once checked on me or apologized for the delay. She should have taken me between them as I completed ordering and paying online in 5 minutes, before she even drew the first person in that family. I tried to be patient but after an hour, I finally grabbed another person in the office and asked if they could take me. She took two others before she even took me back. This was terrible customer service. My time is valuable too! This office needs retraining. read more

Garbage place to take a pre-employment drug screen at. Nobody told me they dont start that until 10am. I was there at 8am. The woman there Emily was rude as fk to me. When I finally was able to take my test she said it wasnt enough (it was 100% enough I have done test plenty in my life to know) and she laughed right in my face as she dumped my sample in the sink. She told me I would need to retest and wait around another 3 hours to retest. She thought it was funny and laughed right in my face and told me to get out. They use actual bleach to clean the seats, didn't dry and ruined a pair of my pants. I noticed the seat was wet, I stood up found paper towels and dried off. I told the lady it smelled like bleach, she said it is a special mixture they make that doesn't fade clothing. What other kind of bleach is there ? read more

I get my blood drawn frequently and I am what is called a "hard stick." This location has always been wonderful and I have never had a bad tech. In fact, I especially adore Tam. She recognizes me and greets me by name every time she sees me. She also manages to draw my blood painlessly every time on the first stick. The place is always clean and professional. You don't have to wait if you make an appointment which is VERY easy through the Quest app. You also get to see your initials on the tv screen as you wait so you know how many are in front of you. As a walk-in you may have to wait a good while depending on how busy they are, but that's to be expected for a business that honors those who make appointments. Great place! I went in for health assessment blood draw for my company. I am what they call "a hard stick". Which means I have one little vein for a blood draw to come from successfully. if it's not an experienced tech, it can be an awful experience. Destiny did my blood draw and when I showed her where my one spot was she didn't question it or let me know that she could do any kind of a draw, she said OK! then when she took that draw she had zero problems and everything worked great. she is the best tech ever! she was so kind and calm and confident. it's the best experience I have ever had! Do not go here!!!!!!! Highly unsanitary in their practices. Both my kids went here for bloodwork. I'm an idiot for not saying anything but the woman who took their blood (same lady) didn't sanitize her hands or sanitize the site where she injected the needle in my kids' arms. I tried calling the Texas health department. No one seemed to care. I will keep trying until this place is shut down. Also, some of the lab workers treat the patients with total contempt and are utterly nasty. I don't know how you are in business. I tell everyone I know about your location here. This place was terrible! Tried to take my kid here to get some blood work done on a Friday morning and it was packed. No social distancing possible! Had to sign in on an iPad that everyone else touched with a wait time of over two hours. We decided to leave and try a different location on Fry road. The Fry Road location was also packed. Signed in on another iPad that everyone touched with the estimated wait time of 30 minutes. After two hours of waiting we had still not been called. We finally gave up and left. Tip: Make an appointment online before you come.I have come here twice in the last two weeks for blood work. Waited for 10 minutes both times. My son passed out during our first round of bloodwork. The hematologist was so friendly, calm and genuinely concerned about him. They gave him a room to lay down and rest and she came and checked on us frequently. I arrived at 11:40 am and was done by noon! I didn't have an appointment and signed in on the IPad at the counter. My position in line was immediately displayed on a tv screen in the room. I had a terrible experience here. First of all, when I signed in the screen said 39 minute wait. Well...it was an hour and a half before I finally got called back. I almost gave up twice. I walked back to my dr office next door and they said I HAD to get this test. It was very stressful. Kids screaming in the waiting area. No explanation as to why I kept moving down on the list instead of up. When I finally sat down for the blood draw I gave the tech my driver license and insurance card. She then proceeded to misspell my first name as I watched her type. I said hey...you are misspelling my name. She chuckled and said it's ok. It was at that moment that I realized she was either not listening OR had no real command of the English language. When she finished and printed out my labels she then asked me to verify the info. I again said well I cannot because my name is misspelled. She sighed and began trying to fix it. Couldn't find where to edit. She seemed frustrated with ME. Finally did figure out how to edit Reprinted everything (which could've been avoided). I told her I was very thirsty. Wasn't planning on not having anything to drink since 11 am and it was now almost 2 pm. She just smiled. I don't know. I felt uncared about. It was hard to find my vein since I was dehydrated but thankfully she got it. I won't choose this facility again. It seemed disorganized. You can't talk to a person. The back wasn't clean and neat at all. I work in healthcare so I know good and bad when I see it. My advice...go to Methodist. I've never waited more than 10 minutes there. read more

Then she filled the paper work and got stuck. She called another lady who knows exactly nothing about the order. So what she said was making me write this." YELP - please give us a choice of zero or negative stars or at least a half star. I made a reservation for 10:15 and arrived at 10:00. I clicked on the text link that was sent and was apparently checked in. The place showed nominal COVID spacing etc. but it had a lot of traffic. I overheard someone saying there was a 20 min. delay for walk-ins. At about 10:35 I was texted that I (as in me) was 10 minutes late and therefore I would have to checking as a walk-in. Since there was no person to talk to (and see from the other reviews how horrible these people are) I just left. On the road I got a text that they were ready to draw my blood but I knew that turning back I'd be in for another screw up. So Quest thanks for blowing my morning and exposing me to COVID, all for naught. I doubt your VIP morning appointments for the more vulnerable population are useless as they are not restricted to such people and you don't seem to distinguish between walk-ins and appointment holders. read more

I took my son in here for a blood test on Monday morning. We had the pleasure of meeting the most hateful human being I've ever come into contact with at a medical facility. She called us back, scowled at us, barked at me because our doctors office didn't send the right paperwork, sent us back to the doctor to get the paperwork and then scowled at me again and made a very rude smart remark when I came back with it. The entire time I was so shocked I couldn't even be rude back. I can't remember a time where I was treated so rudely. I should have left immediately and gone somewhere else. The receptionist at my doctors office said they are usually rude to her too but that the other lab in the building is no better. So they just keep sending patients there! Then she stabbed my son in the arm and told me to have a nice day in a very derogatory tone . She bruised his arm. This woman should NOT EVER BE ALLOWED TO WORK WITH HUMAN BEINGS. I would give her name so that others could avoid her abuse but of course she didn't have a name tag. How convenient. And she was so hateful I was afraid to ask her name for fear she might beat me up in the parking lot. She acts that crazy. I made a review on the website and they never even replied- you can't call a human there - no matter what option you choose on their phone system. So this is how their employees get away with treating people like this- there is basically no way to report them. I will NEVER go back there. Quest obviously doesn't care how people are treated because if they cared they would have a system in place for patients to report things like this.
