Inadequate handicapped parking! Only 5 Handicapped spaces provided in a lot of over 200 spaces! I had to WALK 10 minutes from the nearest handicapped space at the nearby hospital, and as a result, I was over 10 minutes late for my appointment, so I had to be placed upon their "wait list", for their next available appointment! (Their "Metered parking" charges $4.55 for 0-2 hours! If you are tardy due to parking delays, they put you on a wait list, and serve you ONLY when ALL other scheduled appointments have been served, rather than when there is a "no show"! Outrageous!!! I waited over 90 minutes for a 10 minute, fasting blood test, and had to leave as I felt faint from not eating, as a result! read more

Parking is $2 for 3 hours and you pay through your phone , but if you want free parking, park on the GG hospital side and the walk over. I can see why this place gets so much bad reviews, but my experience was pretty good. When you walk in it's kind of awkward, there's no one in front, just kiosk/iPads (They will open the door and call you). Make sure you sign in on the iPad to place yourself in line. Great communication, friendly employees, very knowledgeable. Very easy to make appointments online, however, if you want to talk to a human being, forget about it! If you have any questions, you won't get them answered by a human being unless you actually go to the location. When you call the phone number listed, it gives you an option for extra questions but everything referred to their website and not to somebody who can say yes or no. The wait is ridiculous if you don't have an appointment! I waited from 9:30am-1:10pm until my name was called from the walk-in list. If the wait for walk-ins is expected to be more than an hour, my recommendation is to remove the walk-in option and strictly say by appointment only. I get it they were busy and I know how it is to work in a setting of nonstop busy work flow but full transparency to us who had no other choice than to go in today because no other day or time would work soon, would be much appreciated. They also need to have a worker in the lobby helping with the kiosks! Someone not very tech savvy ask me for help on how to check-in on the kiosk so you had me there walking them through their check-in and I was just another patient myself. Granted I didn't mind because I don't like to see people struggle. But I mean if Kaiser has someone helping with the kiosks, why not add one here too to improve their quality of service if they no longer have a front desk. read more

I had a scheduled appointment with a confirmation code set for 5/22/2025 at 6:10am. I arrived a 6 am and check in via the text link Quest sent me. The reply said come in to the lobby, have a seat, will be called shortly and no need for any further action. My appointment time came and went with numerous other patients being treated, but not me. So I inquired with one of the phlebotomists. She could see that I had a scheduled appointment, but because it had been more than 10 minutes after my appointment time the Quest computer/system logged me out!!!! She couldn't take me back right away. Said I would have to wait more and she "would try to work me in" Ridiculous!!!! I couldn't wait any longer as I had to get to my job. Quest, fix your system or train your employees to treat scheduled patients in a timely manner!!! Never going back to that location!!! Half the time one or more of the three elevators in the building don't even work. This is very frustrating. This non-service/non-treatment on 5/22/25 caused me 5 weeks of delays!!!! I had to reschedule my Quest appointment and my doctors appointment. Very poor service by Quest!!!! It's saddens me because the phlebotomist I spoke with has treated me well and kindly at least twice in the past at that location. read more

Let me be clear that the staff get a "5 Star" review for their patience and effort to take care of all patients. 2 stars at most for the experience and framework that Quest has in place. It's a circus show! I'd recommend arriving early or find a different location because you'll pay close to $3 for 2 hours for parking. My appointment was at 8:30am and I checked in a few minutes before via the check in link quest sent me over txt. It confirmed I was checked in and there was no need for me to check in at the kiosk. There was a few people waiting when I arrived so I figured it would be a quick appointment but boy was I wrong. Within the next 30-45 minutes the whole room filled up with patients. Worried that my name may have gotten lost or their system missed me I checked with one of the staff members, Maria. Luckily Maria took care of me immediately even after finding out the system didn't even have my name or appointment on their system! Luckily I had my confirmation email and code which saved me from having to reschedule and wasting an hour of my time and $3 for parking. People who used the kiosk had an issue almost every time and needed assistance. It would probably be a good idea to have a dedicated receptionist that could help facilitate the patients needs while the other lady's did the bloodwork. Best of luck but I'd highly recommend avoiding this location to get your bloodwork done. The ladies here are ROCKSTARs but Quest as a whole is a joke and doesn't seem to care about their employees. read more

Many bad reviews but on my experience everything with Quest Diagnostics went smooth with appointment and my phlebotomist was cool, she even said Happy Birthday (it's in a few days). Wait time was approximately 20 minutes. The only downside, it's not easy to find your way there without asking an employee at the bottom floor, lucky to see one pass by. This Quest facility is next door to my apartment complex, so it is very convenient. I've been patronizing this location for about 2 years now and have not had any bad experiences (other than listening to a guy at the front desk complain about having to work through his break because someone called in sick). The office is clean and there is a lot of seating. But it does get busy, so sometimes finding a seat can be tricky. Below are the things that I have learned to do to make my trip to the lab easier. I hope the following tips can help: Always make an appointment. You're (usually) in and out within 15-20 minutes. Walk-ins are welcome, but be prepared to spend up to 2 hours. Honestly, it's like that at most Quest locations. If you do have an appointment, be patient. This office in particular does their best to get appointments in and out, but if they are short handed, there will be a longer than usual wait time. Come prepared. Ensure that you have a valid ID, your medical card, and your lab request. In fact, if you know that you are going to a Quest lab, make sure to tell your doctor's office so that they can apply the correct codes (each lab company has their own coding system for the same tests). Pre-register for your visit. You can do this just after making an appointment online. You'll need some info from your insurance card, but it will save you some time on the day of your appointment. Parking is free for the first two hours, so if you make an appointment you shouldn't have to pay. Otherwise, the last time I looked it was $2 for 2 hours. If you can, say hi to Robbie. I would honestly leave 0 stars if I could. I tried calling multiple times to set an appointment but wasn't able to get in contact with anyone at this office. I decide to walk in and I came in at 11 for a simple urine drug test. Based off the hours for drug screen I had until 1:30pm to get it done. Once I arrived a quest employee (short Asian lady) came out saying that they weren't doing drug screening after 12:30. Since that gave me an hour and a half I decided to wait since there weren't too many people. I waited until 12:10 until I was next to be called. That same employee came out and yelled "I don't know why you're still here you're not going to be seen today". It would be much more efficient if the hours were accurate, if someone actually answered the phone, and if the employees were trained on proper customer service. I just went here today to get a blood test, and I was able to get an appointment today too which is great :) I just stayed in the waiting room for 45 minutes and waited for my turn. They sent me a text, and I told me to check at my appointment time, but when I did it on the phone, it says my appointment did not exist. I just went up to one of the tablet to check in, and it worked to check in. I also saw my name on the screen too, and where I was on the waiting list. The building was a bit hard to find, and you have to pay 2 dollars parking to park from 0 to 2 hours which is okay because I did not have an appointment and I just walk in to make one on one the tablets. I was a little hesitant going to this location after reading the reviews. However, my experience was nothing but pleasant. Parking and getting to the location was easy. You have to pay to park, but it's a reasonable price - $2 for the first two hours. The only thing that was off-setting was the 7th floor that the facility was on was like a dark tunnel. Stuff of nightmares! I came in around 7AM with no appointment. The waiting room was full, but people were steadily being seen. The two ladies at the front desk were nothing, but professional and efficient. They got me checked in quite quickly with no issues. After 20 minutes, I was already in getting my blood drawn by the lovely gold-curly hair Debbie. (I think that was her name.) Despite having tiny veins, she just needed to prick me once, and it was smooth sailing after that. Hassle-free and back to work in no time. =) read more

I've been to a Quest Diagnostics before, in Newport. Same deal. You see your regular doctor for your annual exam, the doc gives you a Quest Diagnostics sheet to call and schedule and appointment. You can change and set schedules on questdiagnostics.com/appointment. When you get to a Quest lab, they take your blood, urine, etc (whatever the doctor ordered) and you are off on your way. I had to fast prior to drawing blood. This location is a no-frills zone. Clean, and rooms organized to efficiently draw blood and other samples. Seemed like a busy time with lots of families. Was not all that different from the other location. I like that it's on the 7th floor of a medical building in Garden Grove. You get a rare arial view of Orange County out the large windows. read more

Never going back to this location!!! The last few visit have been horrendous! The front office staff needs training on how to work with people. Rudeness is not a characteristic someone working in customer service should have. On my last visit, I arrived 10 minutes early for my 10:45am appointment. It was packed in the waiting area but based on the sign-in sheets, practically everyone there was a walk-in patient. There was actually only one other person ahead of me on the appointment list. After half an hour had passed and noticing most of the walk in patients were being called in before me, I asked how much longer it would be. An Asian dude with unsanitary, super greasy hair, pulled up my paperwork and proceeded to insist that my appointment wasn't until 11am. I showed him my email confirmation and he gave me a dirty look and told me too bad because the original girl that checked me in wrote 11am on my paperwork. I'm sorry if it's a hectic day and you can't handle the stress of it, but that's bull$hit! After inquiring about the wait, it took another 30-35 minutes before being called. So basically it was pointless for me to make an appointment because all the walk-in patients were seen before me and I ended up being there over an hour regardless. I explained to them and they arent understanding at all. I then saw someone that wasn't able to make an appt get an appt at that moment but they weren't doing the same for me. They also won't let me sit inside. They have tons of seating and people with appt can sit inside but why can't I sit inside? Is it cause I'm a walk in that i can't sit inside? SUMMARY: This is a small, busy Quest Diagnostics location with a bilingual staff. Make an appointment ahead of time (ideally online) and come prepared with all the necessary documents. If you plan on walking in, be prepared to wait up to 2 hours. LOCATION: This Quest Diagnostics location is next to the Garden Grove Hospital. It's all the way at the end of the left side of the 7th floor of one of their medical plaza buildings. There is a sign in front of the elevator on the floor to direct you to the room. This is a no-frills location with a small and clean waiting room. The AC was on full blast when I went, so I would recommend bringing a jacket to keep you warm as you wait. If you need to use the restroom, you can use the one inside the facility. Because there are only four rooms, I believe they can only serve up to 4 people at a time. PARKING: As of this review, although the signs in the parking lot say you must pay for parking, the parking meter at the front of the building was not in service. There is, however, a very small sign that says complimentary 2-hour parking is available if you need to enter the building, which is where this Quest Diagnostics is located. I believe you can also park behind or on the other side of the hospital for free--you just have to walk further to get to the building. APPOINTMENT TIPS: I was a walk-in, and I would not be a walk-in again because I came to this lab at 6:30am, and the facility was already full of waiting patients. I had to wait almost 2 hours to finally get blood work done. To avoid a long wait, you must schedule an appointment, and it's easiest to do so on the Quest Diagnostics website. People with appointments must be serviced first, and if someone with an appointment cancels/comes late/doesn't show up, that is when they can start serving the next walk-in. The staff let me know they are typically very busy in the mornings and do NOT have system access to make in-person appointments before 12pm. Appointments are scheduled 15 minutes apart from each other. When you arrive, you need to sign-in at one of their two iPads at the receptionist's desk and wait for your name to be called. You must have your insurance card, valid photo ID, and the order from your doctor about what tests you need done. If you don't have a physical copy, make sure your doctor's office has faxed or emailed the orders in advance. They cannot accept the orders in any other way (e.g., your doctor emailed them to you to show to them). STAFF: The staff was very efficient and professional. I had no issues with anyone being rude or inattentive nor did I see any of them disrespect other patients. They were helpful to those who had trouble using the iPad to sign-in. When it gets really busy, the receptionist, who is also a phlebotomist, will also help with the lab work. Most of the staff speak English and Spanish, and they have one staff member who can speak Vietnamese. read more

Parking is free, but I was super paranoid, so I paid $2 for 2 hours, but the sign does say complimentary for 2 hours. Therefore, it is free, but that was my mistake, even though I saw it. Latice, the lady at the front, was very kind as she tried to make conversation with me to get me less nervous for my blood work. I signed in right away (arrived at 6:40AM for a 6:45AM appointment) and was called in minutes after.
