Good experience! Located in the medical building room 204 by GG Hospital. I almost turned around when I read the bad reviews on this lab location, but I was just down the street and gave it a chance. I walked in without an appointment and the room was already filled up. Usually there's no wait when I go to the Lake Forest location. They told me the wait would be about 30 minutes. Fingers crossed, I walked back to my car to grab a book to read, but when I got back they called me in within 15 minutes. The receptionist helped me and others in line right away with our paperwork. She was courteous and knew what she was doing. The staff were friendly and funny with all of the older people, it was nice to see. The gentleman that drew my blood did a great job. He verified my information, date of birth, and when he was done, had me check the tubes if my name and info were correct. I have tiny veins, and it's frustrating when people poke around and leave bruises. I had so many bad experiences where they have to switch arms, poke around on other parts of my arms, etc. I'm giving props to this guy because it took him one try and he was awesome! This place has discriminating staff. My mother went in and was treated horribly. She came in early for her appointment but was still put behind those without an appointment. The Asian lady was passing through another asian lady who did not have an appointment. When my mother talked to other people waiting they mentioned this was a constant thing at this location. My mother made a comment to acknowledge that she had an appointment and the women that went before her didn't, the asian lady gave her attitude and proceeded to treat her like this throughout her time there. My mother doesn't speak good English and felt humiliated and disrespected. The manager didn't seem to care and from the looks of other reviews this place seems to not care about the people or it's customer service. They need to be looked into because if this is how they are acting with the patients I would be worried about them handling any medical tests. read more

Could definitely see why there would be negative stars, but as for me, I had a decent experience. I went to get blood drawn today, made the appointment last night online, showed up at 10:20 for my 10:30 appointment and was seen at 10:40. The waiting room was PACKED and I barely found a seat, though. I honestly don't know why most of the visitors are walk-ins when it's the easiest thing in the world to make an appointment online, but I digress. Front staff could definitely perk up just a little bit. The woman who took my blood was very nice. She had trouble finding my vein due to my tattoo and my vein wouldn't show on the other arm, but I felt like she took her time to find a proper vein instead of just rushing through me despite the crowded lobby. She was wonderful, I wish I had caught her name. Never felt rushed or anything with her. I also had to give a urine sample and was stuck by the water fountain for twenty minutes trying to drink enough water to... provide my sample. But standing there and watching the staff try to get through everyone efficiently was surreal. I can't stress how busy the lobby was and kudos to everyone who's trying to keep it flowing. I know a lot of the reviews are complaints about the wait time, and yes a lot of them are justified, but it didn't seem like the staff were just slow and negligent, they were definitely working. I'm honestly impressed by how underrated this place is. I had a great experience myself! I signed up for a free screening through work and chose this location for convenience. When I first arrived, I noticed the Garden Grove hospital now charges for parking, but machine was off during my visit so I guess it was free parking. When you enter the building you don't see the suite # listed on the map which is 714 but I used some of my common sense I went up to the 7th floor. They had a sign outside the elevator indicating quest diagnostics. My appointment was at 8:15am and only took me about 10 mins for me to be seen after checking in on the iPad. Friendly young lady in the front desk btw! The nurse was super friendly as well and took my weight, height and measured my waist. She proceeded to take my blood pressure & draw blood. Then she was done! Fast & painless. Getting blood taken out is usually scary for me but she was very gentle an hardy felt any pain. My results came in just a day after! With very detailed information and advice. I overall loved the experience and will come back again when I need another screening. read more

I went for a drug test and I didn't have an appointment so I had to wait a little longer because they had to take people before me who had an appointment. So, I do recommend setting up one before you come in. Everyone was friendly (as long as you're friendly to them too) and the place was pretty clean. I had trouble finding the building at first. If I go to a place and they are not that good, sometimes I refrain from writing a review because I don't want to bring their ratings down. I know I am dealing with people's livelihood so I tread lightly. And I don't vent because of a minor incident. Having said that, this place deserves a ZERO. Or can I give a NEGATIVE 5 Stars? I was there twice and both times, this receptionist was just as unpleasant and rude as they come. She cuts you off, sounds super annoyed and upset all the time. I was actually afraid to even ask any questions and felt completely belittled. I seriously wanted to talk to her but then I was afraid she would mess with my blood results or something. I'm sure she wouldn't but I couldn't run the risk. So I will now share (since I got my blood test results and they are fine - with the exception of high cholesterol - due to my other Yelping activities). Dear Rude Receptionist, When you work in the medical field, you are constantly dealing with people who are sick, struggling, depressed, broken, etc. A blood test means you are waiting anxiously for results. Results that could be life altering and devastating. To people who are sick and vulnerable, you need to deal all the more gently. In my case, it was a routine physical so no big deal. But the room was filled with children and senior citizens. I know your job is demanding and stress filled and who knows what's going on in your life that's causing you pain. But when you put on any scrubs or work in the medical field, you need to treat people with respect and compassion because while you may or may not be struggling, these people most likely are struggling and suffering. I felt that you did not want to be there. You were annoyed at anyone who asked any question. You cut them off. Some of the people there were minorities and were not fluent in English. And at times you seemed to extra annoyed when they could not understand your responses clearly. I'm sure this is partly your personality. You don't have to be Mary Poppins or Polyanna, but please.... treat your customers and your patients with a little more respect. read more

I had an appointment for a biometric screening. Showed up on time, was told the wait would be over an hour because they were "behind on schedule." Receptionist asked me a bunch of questions, which was information that was contained in a printed screening confirmation document that I provided to her at check-in, her redundant questioning no doubt accounts for part of their delays. After waiting for 30 minutes, I was called in. The phlebotomist couldn't find me in their system, and said that he wouldn't be able to perform the test. He suggested the problem was caused by my employer's HR department (which is bull, because I signed up on their website). He did not bother to try and troubleshoot the problem himself, nor did he bother to call Quest Diagnostics to resolve the problem while I was there. I called Quest's Diagnostics Support Hotline and described the situation. The rep said that I must have used the "wrong website" to sign up. How many websites does Quest have that are scheduling appointments for them? And how would a person know that they were using "the wrong website" or not? I asked what the correct website was, and lo and behold it was the same website I used to set my appointment (which incidentally, is one of the worst functioning websites I've seen in years). If I never visit this place again in my life, it would be too soon! read more

Went ther on a monday at 7:30 am fasting for my routine. The facility is Nice and neat. It was my first time there. The front desk lady tone of voice was not friendly and professional. To me it seemed like shes is not happy to work there. Made me a little uneasy. I know she could have been frustrated because it was a busy room and she had alot od patients to take carw of but that doeant justify her rudeness to the patients. Rude Receptionist, no helpful at all!! I asked two questions, and she couldn't answered. How is that could be possible? She needs to be train in the company's policies and office management; also she needs customer service skills training. I had an appointment, and I ended up waiting about 45 minutes. What really upset me was the fact that the technician (Holly) was asking too many personal questions. She was even questioning why I have my insurance. Do we have to justify why we (customers) have the insurance that we have? She also gave me a paper so I can tell about my experience at the place. But when she gave me the small paper with the survey info, she wrote the code on it in my paperwork. Its my understanding that the survey is anonymous, so why she did that? DO NOT COME TO THIS LOCATION!!!! If I could give this place negative stars I would. First of all, it's very difficult to find this place. It's in the same plaza at the Garden Grove Hospital just around the corner. I came to this location because it was closer to my doctors office. Once I finally found the place I was reading the signs for parking and it says you have to pay for parking at the parking meter. It's $2 for 2 hours. And I was thinking in my head,"I'm not paying for parking if I'm only coming in to do blood work." Then when I finally parked I saw another SMALL sign that said "complimentary 2 hour parking for people entering the building (where this quest center is located)" then I went up to the 7th floor and went down the hall to go to the quest room. When I entered the room there was no one working. It was empty. There were no customers and no workers to be found. Once I signed in I saw that my sign in showed up on the television. Once a worker finally came to the desk 15 minutes later. They decided to call in the walk in who came 15 minutes after me because she said that she didn't have time to wait. So they decided to treat her first instead of me. When they finally decided to call my name they asked for my insurance card but I had left it in my car because I didn't think that I would need it since I had the blood work order with all my insurance information posted on it. One lady called me up and asked for my insurance card and she said it's ok because my information is posted on the order. Then I had to go back and sit down. And then my name gets called again and this Asian lady who barely spoke English was like,"oh why you no bring it with you? Go to your car and get it because we already close!" So I had to go downstairs to my car and grab it. But I was thinking in my head "IF YOU WOULDVE TOLD ME BEFORE THAT I NEEDED MY INSURANCE CARD WHEN I ENTERED THE ROOM BUT NO ONE WAS WORKING THE FRONT DESK FOR 15 MINUTES WHEN I ARRIVED I WOULDVE GONE TO MY CAR TO GET MY INSURANCE CARD!!" Just to give you perspective on how long I've been here I arrived at 2:50 and I didn't leave until 4. And they close at 3:30pm and I was the only one left in the room. I witnessed an old woman freezing in the waiting room and the staff did not offer her a blanket and was only gave it when a family member said she was freezing to death. Absolutely the worst Quest Diagnostics center in Orange County. I had a appointment. I had to wait 1 hour and 15 minutes. There is NO air conditioning. It's on the 7th floor. The elevator is on its last leg. Mark my words, there will be an accident soon. You have to pay for parking. You might think (2) hours for $2 is enough time. I only had 15 minutes to spare. I saw a woman go to the front counter with her doctor's orders. She was standing there for 20 minutes, no employee came to the front counter, so she left. Two more people did the same thing, waited and left. Even after I was finally called, they moved me from room to room. Never, absolutely never will I ever go back there!!! read more

I had an 11:15 appointment, arrived to a room filled with people and about 6 kids running around. I checked in and waited, and waited, about 20 minutes later I asked how much longer and was told 10 minutes. Finally at noon I asked again and then about ten minutes later, the receptionist called me back. They had one person drawing blood, one person had left at noon, and the receptionist drew my blood, I was in and out after that. While I was there, a woman told the receptionist she had been there for five hours, she was the one with all of the kids. Can you imagine, waiting for five hours? During the hour I was there, I saw about four people go back and two come out. So, unless the other two were having blood transfusions or something, whoever was drawing their blood was very, very slow. The building is old, the elevator shook all the way up to the 7th floor. Kids running around with melted chocolate bars on their hands and just not a place I will ever go again.
