Worst unprofessional place ever attended for blood work. Would not recommend this place!!!!

I tool off a star only because the place is so overcrowded and the parking is laughable. I had to search for a spot for 11 minutes in a tiny lot. I had to park at the complete end of the parking lot despite being disabled (I was hit by a car so my mobility isn't great). So walking all that way SUCKED. I was seen 20 minutes after my appointment was made, which considering there was 40 walk-ins (no joke), was pretty good. Hector took my blood and he was quick and friendly. If I could possibly give zero stars, I would. I was given a lab slip by my doctor. I arrived to a quest in Anaheim where the wait was 2 hours. I then made an appointment thru their automated system for this Downey location. Upon arrival the woman behind the counter who could barely be bothered checking me in then asked for my confirmation number; which I don't have since I was driving. Now the service time is who knows how long and no consideration for me, considering I've been fasting for more than 12 hours now. The receptionist is unapologetic and constantly speaking badly about an apparent new girl. You would image they have some time of professionalism considering it is health related. Will ask my Dr to send me somewhere else read more

If I can give this place zero stars I would. This place is always overcrowded &under staffed. It wouldn't matter if you had an appointment or not. One time I walked in to get my blood drawn and waited over 2.5 hours and still didn't not get my blood drawn due to the overwhelming wait time. Later that week I came back with an appointment and they still were late. There was only 2 people at the counter helping patients and what seems like even less people drawing blood. read more

You gotta check in on tablet..Then check in on paper. Then they didn't get it so gotta check in on tablet again. They gotta get it together. Oh and the lady is rude and not sincere to the older people who don't know how to use the tablet. read more

I honestly wish I could give them a zero no stars this place sucks big time. The entire staff has bad attitudes towards every patient that arrives. If you have elder parents they treat everyone with no respect I wouldn't let any one of my family members go there AGAIN!!! The receptionist has the worst attitude ever along with the rest of the staff. Came in the morning at a different quest down the street as a walk-in and it was rediculous. I decided to make an appointment at 330 pm for this location. Walked in and finished within 10 min thanks to Niamo (spelling?)!! He had a great attitude and made it a quick and painless process. Thank you for your excellent service. read more

If I could give this facility a 0 star, I would; the customer service is the worst, especially from a tech named Yesenia! I am pregnant and came in as a walk-in; as soon as I walked in, she was so rude and showed no sympathy; a patient walked in with me, and he was sharing that he was told to come in as a walk-in and that same lady gave him a hard time and was rude to him when he mentioned he was a walk in, he said that they called him back and told him just to come in; I mentioned that to her as well, and she lied and said, he had an appointment and even offered to show me proof in the computer! Are you serious? It is a hippa violation to offer to show me his information! Not to mention that I told her my Dr had called me earlier to do urgent labs, and she right away dismissed me and said this is not urgent! She was so unprofessional and could care less about patient care; quest needs to look into hiring inexperienced staff willing to expose patient information to other patients; I am not coming back here as I do not feel my PHI is safe here. read more

My daughter had an appointment at 1pm, at 1:25pm asked if I could wait 30 more minutes because they don't give a certain shot my daughter needed until after 2pm. They could of said that when they asked for my insurance card. It's now 2:20pm, the girl said my daughter is next but no one has been called in 25 mins. The the hell is taking so long!! Unexpectedly was asked by my doctor to do some lab work and was told this was the closest location. Came in and checking in was a breeze on the iPad but the wait for not having an appointment is ridiculous. I've been waiting for an hour already and they haven't even called me to give me an update. When I got here there was only 3 people. So far at least 10 people have came in after me but have been called in. I understand I don't have an appointment but why not just tell me to make an appointment instead of saying you accept walk ins and have people wait over an hour for some simple lab work. SIMPLY AWFUL. I went in for a blood test that takes 1 hour. A week later, I was told that Quest lost one of my blood samples and that I'll need to return to take another hour long test. It's not only incredibly inconvenient, but worrisome that Quest has no idea where my sample is. That's got to be some sort of ethical, safety, and health violation. I went on a Saturday. A little advise, they open at 730. So Be there at 630ish because the line will go to the end of the hall way. They have you check in by using an ipad. The first time your called will be to make a copy of your insurance. Lastly you'll be seen. It did take a while but patience is everything. People leave bad reviews because of the wait but if you were responsible you'd wake up earlier. read more

This particular location gets a 4 star rating for it's huge, clean waiting room and short wait time. I recommend making an appointment using Quest's website which is quick and convenient. The thing I did notice is that the actual room when you get your blood drawn was a little dirty with trash on the floor. There was also a lady who came in with her just-peed (in/on??) specimen collection cup. GROSS! I'm not easily grossed out either. All in all, this location is quick and convenient! read more

I come and bring my dad here for lab work and there is always a long wait time. The reason I decided to post this review is not necessarily because of the long wait but because of how you register to get serviced. I have no problem nor does my father because he has me to help him with signing him in but im speaking out for the elderly or people that are not computer sabby that can sign themselves in. I suggest you have someone there 2help them sign into the computer so they can get serviced. I literally helped 11 people that didn't know how to use the computer to sign them in while waiting 4my dad to finish this really saddens me, not everyone has children or even grandchildren that can go with there parents to sign them in. Have an employee assist or have a choice 2sign in quicker through de computer or wait 2 be called but this needs to change. The worse no nurse in the front offers help, they act like they dont have grandparents or parents that need help as well. Ok, I'm guessing the 2.5 stars are mostly because of the wait, which I must agree SUCKS. Its 11:19, I've been here since 9:24 and they still haven't taken my mom in yet. But, we were a walk-in. In plain English (it will get a bit repetitive) walk-ins SUCK. It's the longest most tedious wait, although they did expand their wait room and have four colorful benches for the kids to sit on, there's no TV and you're on your own for your own entertainment. The good thing is is that the ladies and gentlemen at the desk are friendly and they are willing to help. We had forgotten the insurance card (which you shouldn't forget to bring by the way) and instead of sending us back she signed us in and gave us both the doctors number and their fax number in order to ask my moms clinic to fax over proof of insurance so we didn't have to go back to get it. In addition, she did warn us it was an estimated 2 hour wait, which I took as a 2-4 hour wait. Hmm, what to do with all this spare time? I couldn't go out to get something to eat because my mom is fasting for her blood results and watching someone eat when you can't simply isn't the most comfortable situation. We went down to level one (the level with the star) and sat on the comfy chairs in the lobby. There's only four so you better hurry! She took a short nap on one and I watched a full movie on the other (legally blonde - if you were wondering). Now we're back up here, hopefully they call her name soon- I'm getting hungry I've been coming here for years, the nurses usually have a gentle hand. Regular blood work is pretty quick, a complete panel B dos take a while last time I was here (and more painful) but I guess everyone's different. All in all, make an appointment, don't forget your insurance card, remember most blood work requires you to be fasting or at least have an empty stomach three hours or more prior before your blood draw, if you have any glucose or some special timed testing TELL THE CLERK once you sign in (whole different process), and last but not least (in my case the most important) bring some sort of entertainment, a book, movie, iPod, toys, a pillow! This is the worst place to come get your labs drawn. Horrible customer service, the wait time is ridiculous. Thank God I'm not diabetic. I could just imagine these older patients with chronic illnesses waiting for hours fasting. The phlebotomy ppl have the worst attitudes. It's under staffed at 7:30am they only call in appointments. Make the walk-ins wait forever!!! They have no coordination. A work flow, the manager could care less hiding in the office. Worst place and customer service ever!!! I took my 9 month old for a blood test to check for anemia and lead. Girl at the reception was rude. She was the same one to draw my baby's blood. Before the procedure I requested her to use quiggles some type of vibrating tool they use to distract kids and help with the pain. She told me "we do have it but we never use it, she will fell he same pain." She didn't give us the quiggles and when she was drawing the blood she kept moving the needle around my daughters arm I'm hoping that she doesn't get bruised:( . I don't know I rather drive elsewhere then go back!!! read more

This is a recent rating I went on Saturday June 1st. I did not have appointment I walked in. A lot of people post negative comments about this location and they are exaggerating this is a normal BUSY office. Go early. Office opens 7:30AM so get there early like 7AM if you have no appointment the line was so long when I got there at 7:40AM. Registration was easy on the tablet there then completed the rest from my phone. Wait time was over a hour but didn't mind I was watching tv the whole time. Be prepared to hear everyone complain about everything there I can't believe how negative the patients are in the waiting area they're so rude. As of the staff not rude just trying to work quickly and the man who drew my blood was nice I was so nervous and he made me feel comfortable with the jokes and small talk. Big parking lot. Will go back to that location if I have to but next time definitely with an appointment. Only complaint is they need more staff in the front desk for such a high volume of patients. I am so Angry I wish I could smack someone in this location, If you have an infant don't go there for blood draw, I have 1 1/2 month and took him there for simple blood draw, I explained to them we just came out of NICU baby is a little hard stick get someone who's good, Instead they had this guy in front poked my son 3 times and was fishing in there, I told them to stop baby cried so much so I started crying, it took me 45 minutes to calm down my baby and he's not a cry baby, than they got someone else who spent 25 minutes 3 more pokes on the other arm that's when I got angry and told them get someone who's good with babies than 30 more minutes someone came and got him on first try.... How messed im am so mad 10-minute blood draw turned into 2:30 minutes I wish no child ever goes through the pain they put my child through, horrible people inexperienced arrogant have no heart, why couldn't they just have the 3rd person in first place I had told them he was a bit hard poke before, and that in NICU they had issue first day than they have nurses that would get him on first try but they didn't care, Please as a mother parent if you have baby don't go to these people in downey. read more

The suite was easy to find. It's in the mirrored building. Parking was also not an issue. Walking in as a new patient I was not acknowledged. I walked up to the counter and tried to get the receptionist attention to ask her how check in worked. She had me check in on an iPad and gave me a sheet to fill out. No clipboard, no pen. I filled out the sheet and left it on the counter. I had other questions, but I was a little intimidated with the receptionist so I took my seat and waited. Place was pretty empty. After a while a different receptionist took over the front desk and I gained the courage to ask her my questions. I think her name was Calina. Sorry if I butchered that. lol Calina was very friendly, approachable and knowledgeable. She answered all my questions. I was called in by Alma who was the one to draw my blood. She was very sweet and friendly. Made the process very comfortable. The restrooms however were pretty disgusting. There was no toilet paper and they were just a mess. read more

All the staff that where at the front desk are very rude and very unhelpful, greetings from the staff are a luxury that they can't afford, in the hour or so that was there the staff that was there were argumentative about anything and every thing that they could argue with the client. Staff expects that clients figure out by themselves how to sign in on the new tablets they have for that purpose and to fill out a form that they have on the front desk, if the client didn't figure out about the form that they required, when they call you, the client gets scolded by the staff. If they don't want to help directing clients, why not have some signage, directing clients? read more

An elderly gentleman was trying to get into apple medical group and I witnessed a staff member of quest be pretty sarcastic and down right unhelpful to the gentleman. It wasn't right in my book. Staff was incredibly rude, I understand they are busy but when my significant other asked the man behind the desk how long the wait was, he waited and responded when he was ready and with the rudest way possible.
