Very user friendly operation if you're tech savvy. Almost everything is done online; no phone calls or receptionists. They'll text you, send QRC's and you use a kiosk to check in. They're quick, usually pretty friendly and they do a very brisk business, as one would expect for a huge lab company. I've always gotten results in 24 hours or less. This place is on Belcher in a medical plaza just south of Sunset Point. It's kinda secluded and hidden from the road behind a row of big trees, so go slowly as you get near. Very barren, sterile waiting area, which no longer has a receptionist ever since the Rona came and went. Go to the kiosk, scan the QC code (they email it with a reminder), your ID, your insurance card. They'll also send texts and notifications to your phone if U enable them. As I said, if you're not tech savvy then you may be at a handicap. My experience here was quite rough, the doctors were not super friendly and they were rushing me out and even kicked me out of the room when I was trying to get another copy of my lab because the offices name wasn't on it? They then kicked me out of the hallway and told me just to go back to the waiting room which is wayyyyyy too small for as many people that were in there. Anyways I'll go to another location and try again because I just ended up leaving after they told me to get out of the office. I have been going to Quest diagnostic for over 5 years have usually always had good experiences even without an appointment. N. Belcher, Clearwater location. I just went in about 1 month ago and it wasn't a good experience to say the least. The first girl tempted & poked me twice to get my vein, then she called in a man who then squeezed and slapped my arm, and even kept a tight strap on it. Finally they called in an older lady who walked in very confident & kind, she gently touched my arm and with no issues poked me one time and was successful. Now I'm so unsure about going back with that experience, and not knowing the older ladies name. Both of the first two people seemed in a rush and weren't very friendly. I walked in for a blood test. The website said 24 minute wait. When I checked in the estimate was a little over 30 minutes. No problem. The waiting room was completely full. No problem. I selected "wait outside" and notify me by text on the electronic check in. I went out to my car and waited. After a while I went back in to check. Still the waiting room was full. My name was on the monitor showing 10 minutes left to wait. The wait was longer than I expected. Everything ok. After a while I went back in. The waiting room was still full. The monitor said two minutes. The wait was getting longer. Still ok. I went back to my car to wait for the text message. After a while I went back in. The waiting room was still full. My name was no longer on the monitor. There was no one available to talk to. After a while a technician walked by. I told him I had been waiting an hour and my name was no longer on the list. I gave him my name. He told me they had sent me a text and he had personally called my name. I showed him my phone. No text. No calls. He shrugged me off and said I would have to sign in again. I signed in again. A 28 minute wait now. This time I wasn't leaving the waiting area even though it was standing room only. Another technician called out a name. It sounded like mine. It wasn't. I told her that I had been waiting almost an hour and a half. She said it wasn't her responsibility. I said you should put up a sign saying that the text message system wasn't working. She said she just draws blood. If I had a problem I should take a business card from the display and complain to them. I looked at the diplay. There were no business cards. She said she would get some more. Eventually I went in for the blood draw. The technician asked if I had the order. I said I saved it on my phone. He said he couldn't take it from my phone it had to be a hard copy. I told him the last time I had a blood draw the prescription was in the system. He said he would check. It was. So, finally after a two hours and a lot of frustration I was done. No one ever said Oh, I'm sorry for the wait. Or I'm sorry our system isn't working or ever acknowledged in any way that there was anything wrong. I will not return to this location. I understand the need to reduce costs, but there should be a human being that is responsible at the site. Not just a few technicians who have no interest in customer service. Avoid. read more

My father went to quest to have his blood taken for a liver test, so he could have a liver biopsy. My father has cancer. That was 3 weeks yesterday. No test results back. Where are they ? Doctors are waiting for the results. We are trying to act fast to take care of the cancer. We love my dad and the quest diagnostic should also care for their customers. I didn't know to make an appointment so I took a chance and did a walk in. I was lucky as Ny wait was under ten minutes. It's probably a good idea to make an appointment online but I went there two days before Thanksgiving at 10:30. There were only two other people in the waiting room. Everybody was very pleasant. Brenda drew my blood she's very good barely felt needle going in and took good care of me. Recommendations: go around 10:00-1030 if you don't make an appointment as when I was coming out at 11:30 it looked like it was the pre-noon rush as the waiting room was quite full at that time. Also if you're fasting you should drink a couple bottles of water before you come in because it makes it easier for them to draw and you're less likely to feel dizzy or lightheaded. I made an appointment online a couple of weeks prior since I knew I needed a morning appointment because of the required fasting. I barely sat down and I was called back. The phlebotomist, Joyce, was very nice and chatty. When I asked her how many tubes they would need, she said "not too many". Turns out they needed 6 tubes. I passed out! I don't usually pass out but I did this time. Joyce and some other staff were very concerned and helpful in bringing me back around! Such a sweet team of ladies! However, I was surprised that there were no smelling salts readily available. A word to CORPORATE... Smelling Salts! They were using hard packs of ice on me, yelling at me to wake up, wet paper towels... you get the drift. And once I was fully awake, I was asked if I had a snack in my purse. Perhaps some emergency Orange Juice should be kept for patients. I work in a medical facility and we have all of these things in case somebody passes out. But I love this location and will be going back for future blood draws. In fact, I am so happy with the team there that I am bringing them donuts this morning on my way to work! read more

Who likes going in for a blood draw? Meh....not fun! I've been to this location many times, simply because it's the closest location to me. My first word of advice? Make an appointment! If you are one of the unlucky ones who did not make an appointment - well, you could be waiting awhile! Overall, the office is very clean and well kept. They always have you sign in and when your name is called, you go to the back service desk to confirm the doctor's orders, your insurance, and payment. The staff at the desk have been overly snippy the last few times that I've been here. After they check you in, you go back to the front waiting room until you are called again. Then, the lab tech will call you and direct you back for whatever procedure you are there for. Generally I've had very good lab draws. The techs are very gentle and very talkative, I guess in hopes of distracting me so I don't end up on the floor. Overall, it is a decent experience for a not-so-decent procedure. read more
