Went here because I been here before and never had problems. I came Saturday and was told to come during weekday to make appointment in phone or online. I came back Tuesday morning prior to my appointment and at the parking entrance the security lady was very rude and unprofessional. She didn't apologize and said to go to any location not knowing that I had to have a urine drug test done ASAP prior to my new job! Called prior to going in for a pre-employment drug screen and the recording said that they started at 7:30 AM. I showed up and checked in at 9:20. About a half hour later I was called up to the front desk and told that drug tests now do t start until 10 AM. 10 AM came and passed and I noticed that my name wasn't appearing on the monitor so I approached the woman at the front desk and was greeted with great rudeness and provided no help. I then signed in again . This time my name did appear on the mi Igor but I had to wait an additional 20 mi utes. This place is horrifically managed and I think that Quest needs to fire everyone here and start over. read more

She was fast to point me to the check in tablet and left to the back for a good while! This location is a joke. First, the lady that's standing at the door was on her phone not acknowledging the people that were waiting in line for appts, two people randomly cut the line and walked right on in disregarding the big ass signs stating " DO NOT ENTER WAIT HERE " she proceeded to allow them to touch all over the check in screen and walk around the lobby and still didn't acknowledge the line forming outside the door waiting, she actually assisted these two random people that can't seem to follow directions especially with covid Jesus Christ. SECOND, my lab work clearly stated STAT I even reminded the phlebotomist that my results needed to be same day, keep in mind i came in at 700Am to ensure I received same day results, she acknowledged and promised that it will be taken care of immediately... guess what it wasn't? Turns out they never labeled my blood work for STAT. My blood work results were extremely crucial for today due to the medication I'm taking and now I have to wait an extra day to find out my results to know if I can proceeded with my treatment. The front clerk was being so rude to a patient who only spoke Spanish she was elderly and she didn't know how to check in on the tablets(are English only.)The front clerk yelled at the poor old lady "u have to sign in" and the old lady didn't even know what to do. I read the other reviews here before i went to this awful place yesterday so i wasn't expecting first class service. My doctor sent a requisition for stool testing to that location on friday, specifically because it's the nearest one to me that is open saturday morning. I called their number saturday morning to make sure they received the requisition, but i got an automated message which said that if you are calling to confirm that they received the order for a test, you do not need to do so. It said of they do not have it when you get there, you can still drop it off and they will contact your doctor. They absolutely do not follow this policy at this Quest lab. The lady at the desk told me she did not have an order for the test. When i told her about the recorded message i got when i called, she said it wasn't true and there was no way she could take my stool sample even if called the doctor myself to resend the order. This happened once before at another location and they actually did accept the sample and contacted my doctor themselves. So now i have to wait until monday and it's very frustrating because i'm really sick and the faster we confirm i still have an infection, the sooner i can start another treatment. In addition to that bad experience, the waiting room was full of miserable looking people and the tv was blaring so loud it was unbearable to sit in the seats under the tv, which were the only empty seats. All the other employees there looked as unhappy and grumpy as the front desk lady. Not a single smile, not a single hello, not a single kind word. The reviews on here are so accurate. I was in to do my glucose test and had to be there for 2 hours, I did not feel comfortable being in there with everything going on I expressed my concerns and told her I would rather wait in my car she told me no that I had to wait. I did not feel comfortable at all being around so many people especially with the covid going around and being pregnant. While I waited there i noticed not one time did they clean the chairs when people would get up and they weren't checking people's temperatures, a gentleman actually told the lady to check his temperature because nobody checked it. What a time sink...a waste of over two hours. I had a pre employmet drug screen. I ame in at 9am, employer stated hours are from 8am to 5pm. Turns out drug test are only from 10am to 2pm. I came back at ~11am register using their system. I was called up after approx., an hour...but only to request my ID and paperwork. Only then was I placed in a "manual" queue, and told it would be another 30 minutes before I would be called up. Still waiting...what a waste of time..Somehow I should be compensated for my time. This location does not even deserve a one star. I had to take a drug test and called only to get a machine. I wanted to prepare on what kind of test I was taking blood or urine and hours. I did not get any of those answered through the phone because no one answered. So the next day I went there in person to find out their drug screening was only between 10 and 2 PM. There is a limited amount of parking and always full. I asked the security guard where else is there to park and he shrugged his shoulders said I don't know and was looking at his phone. After 15 minutes finding a space I walk into the lab and they don't even greet you, tell you to sign in on the iPad and wait. After waiting for one hour, they call my name and tell me their drug testing is down and to come back tomorrow. I asked if there was other locations and she said the whole nation is down the network is not working. I was very upset at this time and just left. I called the lab in Mission valley and someone actually picked up the phone and was very courteous. I asked her if her system was working and she said yes we have no problems. Their drug testing was all day up until 30 minutes before closing. Never go to the Chula Vista location!! They are rude and a waste of your time!! read more

I go here everytime i have a blood test coz it's convenient, near my house.. one thing you will notice is the people in the front desk ofcourse, they're so rude early in the morning they have attitudes... as if they dont have manners... disgusting.. they dont greet you, even yell at you to sign in, if your not techy kind of person you will have no idea what to press on that tablet. This place is awful. From a person who works in the medical field I realize that sometimes dealing with patients can be difficult. I scheduled my test for pre-employment here as it was the closest location to me. Knowing that some labs have certain hours for different tests I called the number first thing in the morning to make sure that I would be there at the correct time. The office hours when I called said that Pre-employment drug screenings were done between 10am and 2pm Mon-Fri. Great that works fine for me........so I thought. I show up right in the middle of that time period at 11:30 just to be told that they do them from 7 am -1030 am and 1:30 pm and 3:30 pm. NOT what their phone menu said. Now I'm Irritated because i have to urinate and wait 2 hours to do so. So I leave to go run another errand and return around 1. I sign in so that at 1:30 im ready to go. only to have the front desk Call me and then REMOVE me from the schedule and proceed to tell me that I will have to sign in again at 1:30. This place is run awful. Just plain awful. read more

I really don't understand all of the low reviews. Sure, there can be a long wait time if you are a walkin but that is no surprise in medical services. The nurses have always been friendly and efficient. Remember that their attitude is a reflection of your own. If you want a smiling face don't go in there ready to fight. To make a friend be a friend. The only criticism I have is the inefficient process at the front desk. Not the fault of the receptionist. Reading these reviews before me, I have to say that was not the case for me. I had to get all of my children a TB shot.. I was told that it be something in the hand and then I'll have to bring my children back within 3 days for results, I was relieved it was that type of testing because my children are very young about 1 3 and 6 yrs of age and they hate getting poked. I make an appointment online super convenience by the way there was no wait at all walking in before I could even sign them in on the kiosk I was immediately called in. I don't remember the girls names their were 2 of them and then a 3rd joined in after it was that bad lol I was freaking out on the inside my kids were gonna scream their heads one by one and it was Just a complete nightmare. I was reassured though these woman here had a lot of experience with kids like mine so i felt better I knew they Weren't going to be overwhelmed or mess up with all the moving. I had 3 kids so it was tough to begin with and they literally were the best they helped me calm them down they were conversational with them just did everything to help, were sweet and gentle it was a very nice experience coming to this location for my first time and getting this really sweet of a support! Very easy not rocket science, my mom had a urine test and when she was done she let the lady know that her cup did not have her name and personal info, the lady did not care and she was very rude ( my mom is 84 yrs old ) so we really do not know if the results they gave to my mom are the correct ones, I complained and the lady just being a bitch put a post it on it with my mom's name only. People working at this place should have the basic training, customer service, respect and professionalism. read more

DO NOT USE THIS LOCATION. Making an appointment means nothing to the staff basically - I had an 11.00 am appointment I was'nt seen until almost 12.00 pm and there were only one other appointment ahead of me. Staff was disorganized and no one was tending to the front desk. It seemed as if the nurses were tending to the front desk and people's blood draws. I only saw two people working his location on a Friday also which is just terrible management of staff scheduling for such a busy location. If I had been a walk-in I'd of never been seen because their wait time was 2-4 hours. Worst service possible, use another lab or location. read more

I have been here a handful of times. I don't understand why it has such bad reviews. I've always had pleasant experiences when getting my labs done. The staff is friendly and funny. I've probably bruised about twice, which wasn't too bad. I've never made an appointment and have never waited past 15 minutes to be helped; either I'm just lucky, or I have good timing. It will get crowded during weekday mornings here, so I tend to go in closer to 2 or 3 PM. They've changed their hours so they close by 4 now. If you're doing a timed test like the glucose test, make sure you have some reading material, or headphones to listen to music, or else you'll get bored. Note that because this location is in Chula Vista a lot of the people coming in here are coming from all over the place, so once in a while you'll witness disruptive, or rude "patients". Overall I've had all good experiences here. read more

I had an early appointment at this location. Mind you, it was my first time going there. I'm waiting at the front door for about 10 minutes, since I thought I had to because of all the COVID regulations. I thought the worker that was standing literally in front of me, would greet me or say " may I help " didn't do either. I just go in and go to the kiosk since another client told me about it. I check in and right away the worker at the front approached me in a very rude way. Her demeanor, her voice, just the way she didn't smile at all, rubbed me the wrong way. I asked her a couple of questions and she answered back with attitude and questioning me back. I didn't appreciate her customer service at all. If you're not able to be respectful with client's at a fast phase atmosphere, then you shouldn't be at the front. I would like to see a friendly smile in the mornings. I've had to take off two days of work for this company to keep sending me away. The first time they sent me away they "claimed" I was too late. Even though they left the person in front of me go. A woman named Chere drew my blood, and she was excellent at it and very kind. I had a short wait as a walk in and was second to go back. My problem is with the facility. The chairs in the waiting room were reminiscent of an old smoker's home. The floors were not well maintained or cleaned. Don't even get me started on the bathroom. The labs ordered by my PCM included urinalysis, so I had to use the restroom. I gagged the entire time I was in there, and refused to touch anything. As a female, it was uncomfortable to not be able to sit to pee out of fear that I would catch a disease. It smelled of smegma-caked genitals and days old urine, and had obviously been neglected every so often when somebody just "wasn't feeling it." There were a few other issues I have with my experience here, but the most important was cleanliness. read more

I absolutely DESPISE the employees here. The rudest, most inconsiderate people I have ever met. I came for a drug screen that is before "2pm". I waited, behind a line of people, nobody was at the front desk. Time past, Somebody finally came, I went to ask if I was checked in properly and she said sorry it's past time. You checked in at 2:03. They refused to let me do my screen, I asked and said I am only able to get it today. I'll wait till the end if you want me to (it's only a urine specimen, with a 2 minute time limit.. and some paper work. I mean, come on.)She said nope, sorry "can't bend the rules". EVEN THOUGH I WAS THERE BEFORE 2!!!! To top it off, they accepted someone else who checked in after me. They said it's because she's doing lab work. I asked her later, and the girl said no, I'm doing a drug screen. She felt so bad for me because I checked in before her but they wouldn't let me do mine and offered to give me her spot, but it wasn't her fault, nor would they have let that happen anyways. It's just 100% LAZY LAZY employees that will look for any reason to not do extra paperwork. As a nurse, I deal with phlebotomist and lab techs allllll day at the hospital. They will say the exact same thing- that was just laziness and being rude. It's absolutely ridiculous that Quest Diagnostics allows patients to be treated this way, and let their employees to be so unaccountable for their own mishaps. Either you have someone at the desk at your exact deadlines to check in people who are there in time, or you accept the patients that have been standing and waiting there when you decide to come back from gossiping and snacking. read more

Worst place ever. I went in for a simple urinalysis. It took them 30 mins to call me up to the desk to just check in. Never have I been to a place where I have to wait 30 mins to simply check in. Even the DMV checks you, though the wait after may take forever. In any case, the long wait to simply check in caused my urinalysis paperwork to expire. Also, I feel like they allow it to expire on purpose. Though it took 30 mins to check in, there was still a little time to put my paperwork in the system, and instead of immediately putting the information in they just waited for the time to expire. I wanted to give 0 stars, but I'm giving two stars because Jimmie did a great save after I had to deal with two of the rudest, and most unprofessional healthcare "professionals". They were a total joke. I did not catch both names, however I do remember one by the name of Chere. I highly doubt that people are not complaining on an ongoing basis. Let me start off by saying I came in Thursday morning to take a drug test(urine test) after dropping my daughter off to school. My two year old and I arrived at 7:30. I wrote my name down on the "walk-in" side at 7:43am and took a seat in the lobby. I anticipated I would have a long wait, but for me, it seemed logical to get in there early in the morning, wait, leave my urine and go on about my day. Seems simple, right?! Definitely NOT how my day went. A few minutes after 8am, the lady behind the desk calls me to the front reception desk. I walk up w/ my daughter, hand her my paper work and she looks it over. After looking it over, w/ an attitude she proceeds to say "This doesn't even have an MRO. I don't even know if we can take this! Ugh. Let me call these people and see if I can get it." Front desk lady turns to Chere and repeats that there is no MRO. Chere replies in a sarcastic tone, "What a great way to start your day!" Mind you, I am standing right in front of them and have no clue what it is they are needing. So, I say "Excuse me, will not be able to see me?" Front reception says, "Hold on. I'm gonna call and get this information." I reply with "Ok. Thank you." Someone on the other end of the telephone finally answers and I can hear the reception asking for an MRO and she's told it's not needed. She ends the call w/ an annoyed look on her face, grabs a yellow sticky and writes down what she was told by the person on the other end of the telephone and sticks the yellow sticky on my paper work. While at the front, the lady helping me, pulls out a stick of gum and begins chewing it, mouth open! She even went in her jacket pocket to grab a lipstick (rose pink color and apply it while talking to me. She then points at a sign literally the size of a business card and says "We don't start drug testing until 9am" I tell her "Ok" and that "I would like to wait because of parking being difficult to find and I'm already here." All the while I'm up there, I am talking to my two year old inbetween conversations with the front desk representative because she wants to watch a movie on my phone. The lady at the front repeats what I said as if she didn't hear me say I'd like to wait. "You want to wait here?!" I replied again with "Yes. It's easier. I'm already here." She tells me to take a seat and they will call me when they are ready. I look to my daughter and tell her "Come on baby. Let's sit down and you can watch a movie while we wait." We walk off and take a seat as we wait. At 8:46, I look at my phone because now I have to go to the restroom. Prior to arriving at Quest, I drank two 16oz bottles of water so that I would be able to go to the bathroom when called back. The rules are the rules, so I decided not to bother and wait it out until 9. 9:09 comes around and I KNOW that no one else in the waiting room had "walked-in" before me. Walk ins as well as appointment patients that were after me had come and gone. I get up w/ my two year old and walk over to the desk and tell the lady "Excuse me. I'm sorry, but I really do have to pee. Is there anyway I could go to the bathroom soon?" She looks at me, looks towards the wall and back at me. She replies "No. You'll be called back in a minute.There's a protocal we have to follow so just take a seat." My reply is simple, "Ok. Thank you." About 10-15 minutes later, Chere opens the door & calls my name, which is definitely a relief to me. I get up and I tell my daughter to get up as well. We walk towards the door. Before I could enter, Chere stops me saying "She's not allowed to go in there with you." (Side Note;)There is a main lobby/waiting area and once you are called back, there are two seats right outside the restroom for sitting as well as about 3-4 separate stations/rooms for drawing blood and taking information. So, I reply to Chere "Ok. Can I just let her sit right there(pointing to the two empty chairs) in the chair with my phone while I go pee?" Her reply is "That's not our responsibility!"(W/ an attitude) The lady from the front desk peaks around the corner and says "Don't you have someone to watch her?" I reply "No. It's just me and her. That's why I asked can I just let her sit right there?" Chere(w/ her attitude) goes on to say "It's the law. Federal law that she cannot be in the bathroom with you!" I turn to her and say "Ok. I get that she cannot come in with me, but I have been waiting out here patiently for two hours all I'm asking is if she can sit right outside while I pee?" Chere's rude remark again is "She's not our responsibility! We are not responsible for her!" read more

I was the first person to sign in on the walk in clipboard and they called everyone before me.
