They informed me that x-rays are walk ins only so no appointment needed. I asked what time they close and they said 5pm. The next day Friday, i had taken an hour off early from work to get my X-ray done and got there at 4:30pm. Upon checking in, I was told that all the x-ray machines have been shut down and they do not take anyone anymore at 4:30pm. Pissed, I left and came back the following Monday first thing since they open at 8am (i again had to take an hour time off before work since i start at 8am). Upon checking un at 7:50am, the front receptionist informed me that they have not received my doctor's orders. Luckily, my doctor's office is just next door so I went over and got a printed out copy and got my x-ray done. Fast forward to Wednesday, March 25 after another doctor's consultation, my doctor ordered again for me to get another x-ray. This time i had taken more time off work to go to my x-ray and got to their office at 3:30pm only to be told that they had shut down their machines early that day since apparently the staff came in early that day and had done their 8 hrs already so they got sent home. I'm like, how am i supposed to know that since their supposed hours is til 4:30?! I am beyond pissed. Do NOT recommend this place at ALL! Go somewhere else if you can. I'd give this place negative starts if i could.

    My orthopedic specialist ordered X-rays. I called to make an appointment, but after about 20…read morerings, somebody answered and brusquely informed me that it is walk-in only. So I walked in, and found a sign on the door that despite their posted hours, they were closed for the day. I found out later the X-ray tech did not show up for work. I tried again the next day right after opening, and was informed that the wait time would be about two hours! So, I sat and waited, and sure enough, about two hours later, I was called in for the X-rays. By then, the waiting room was literally standing room only, full of dozens of not particularly happy people. Sharp needs to do better than this. The message seems to be that patient's time has no value. My previous two decades experience with Scripps provided that I never waited more than about 10 minutes for an X-ray. Sharp Hospital, you're a major health care provider in San Diego, please do whatever necessary to improve this unacceptable situation.

A CT scan…read morewas done, and I was told by the ER to follow up within a few days with my primary care physician (who is wonderful) who works out of this facility. Her next appointment is April 7! Why would I have to wait until April 7 for her to review what might be a potentially serious condition? A virtual visit was available Feb 4! I had to insist to the phone receptionist to send an urgent message to the office to try and fit me in somehow- This is unacceptable to me. It looks like I will now have to find another primary provider...disappointing... I have been very frustrated trying to find medical care in the San Diego area.

    I am extremely disappointed by the treatment I received today from nurse practitioner Stephanie…read moreKleiner. I came in after feeling very sick for a few days and was met with a condescending attitude. Whenever I asked a question, Stephanie seemed bothered and would respond with "like I said," when I was just trying to clarify and ensure I understood. She also told me I was "young and would recover fine," multiple times. I find this upsetting as being young is not a reason for my questions to be dismissed. If so, there should be lower copays for "young people." I calmly let her know how I felt and explained I came to her for her expertise not to be treated this way. This only made her more upset as she repeatedly stated " I don't know what you want me to say, I already apologized." Overall, Stephanie was incapable of listening to my medical questions, or my need to be treated with kindness, which I don't think it's much to ask for. She also let me know she was really busy and had many patients to see. I have a lot of empathy for healthcare workers and understand that this is a busy season. Nonetheless, I am still paying to be seen. If there is no room for questions during express visits, it should be advertised that you will not be allowed to speak.
