People here are nice and the facility is easy to access. However, waiting for several minutes past a scheduled appointment time while fasting is not ideal. It becomes a form of torture because we are subjected to a blaring television with inane Orwellian messages, ads, and banal content. Avoid this place. read more

I used this lab for 7 or so years (until I moved in 2018) and had a 4-hour blood draw there once, so I've had plenty of occasion to observe. Expect service varying from friendly to very unfriendly (but remember, they put up with all sorts of nasty and obnoxious and wacko customers, so it's not surprising if someone might once in a while be on edge or not give the benefit of the doubt. Distressing when it happens to you, but not shocking.) My main tip (aside from making an appoinment) is to avoid blood draw by the 50-something woman with short hair (I believe her name is Kathy). I saw her over the course of 4 hours have to apologize to people time and time again for blood bruises. She shouldn't be drawing. I've had her myself, and it was a painful experience and left a blood bruise. Unfortunately, their customer feedback phone system is a giant pain to use, otherwise they'd probably get more feedback. You'll feel like a clod, but it's in your best interests to ask for one of the younger African American women, or the older Indian woman, or a guy, or anyone else... pick someone you see and say that you'd like to wait for them specifically. If you do that, this will just be your typical blood draw visit (no fun, but uneventful), rather than involve tears. (Caveat: This was a few years ago, so maybe she's become magically skillful since then... You never know...) Just look at the dozens of one star reviews. i could write an entire paragraph about how bad this place is and everything wrong with it but plenty of people already have. This place is horrible. Form the gentleman working that moves so slowly it's almost just an obvious I don't give a f*** about this job to them only managing to draw blood from two people in an hour with two of them...I mean it goes on and on. The worst lab I've ever been to just don't go here go anywhere else it will be better. You will be here for half your day waiting it's slower then the dmv if you can believe that...oh and if your a walk in hahaha you'll be here all day because they move so slow before they're done with one person someone else walks in with an appointment so you will be skipped over and over and over. The Regent Street Quest Diagnostics has twice made mistakes on my orders. The first time, they lost my paper after drawing my blood & after I had paid the bill. Therefore Quest never sent my labs to my oncologist & never notified me my lab work had been misplaced. They were happy to accept my money. Big oops! In March of 2019 when paying my bill, I asked to pay it IN FULL. Weeks later I received another bill for $115.29 for more labs they did on my blood draw. I had PAID IT IN FULL. I had to call the national billing department to try to straighten out their mistake multiple times. They still insisted I owed them more money. Use Lab Corp, Alta Bates, Stanford Healthcare, anything but Quest. read more

An hour and a half later, I look inside and my name is on a screen telling me I'm due in in twelve minutes. Make an appointment! It was an hr wait so while I was waiting I made one. I had a great younger girl who wears a headwrap. I wish I would have asked her name, she did a great job! I am so nervous about blood draws and she made sure to make me the most comfortable. I really apperciated her attitude and upbeat personality. Waited over 30 minutes past my appointment time. They had too many people scheduled and were so behind it was hard to socially distance. Also, they take multiple patients' blood in an open area, not private rooms like other Quests I've been to, so there is no privacy.The nurses also informed me that they have not been vaccinated!? I have been having my blood drawn at Quest diagnostics for the past 5 years with my own testing kit. The staff has always been helpful and the appointment quick and easy. They refused to give me a test even though I was paying out of pocket. They did not help me find a way in which I could get this test done. They refused to point me in a direction that could help me. Getting this test done is very important to me and helps me know how my specific form of cancer is doing. I left panicked and crying. There is no excuse for being rude. read more

Yes, the phlebotomists are very friendly and efficient, no complaints with their professionalism and care. But the company has woefully understaffed the Regent Street location, and the phlebotomists barely have time to breathe. In addition, there was no one to input information, which is apparently necessary even after checking in via their computer kiosk, so the phlebotomists have to spend time typing away at a computer, rather than just drawing blood. I had an appointment, and I still had to wait 40 minutes!!! I was told that three other people had an appointment at the same time. WHAT??? That is rude and disrespectful to clients. 45 minutes after my scheduled appointment, I left without getting my test done. There were four people ahead of me and after 45 minutes waiting only two people ahead of them were called in for service. There was no receptionist, no one to ask about anything. A truly pathetic operation. Aside from terrible customer service, I can't imagine how they would make money running things this way. read more

It's ok. The front lady that day, would get overwhelmed and frustrated, and was rude and short. Then she gets very sweet and apologetic about the wait. My doc though, did receive the lab result the same day. My advice is, even during the most overwhelming hours, don't forget who the customers are. read more

The test itself was fine, but it's been a week and I haven't received my results. The phone number is a LONG message that sends me to the website. The website says I have no test results. I just submitted a request for my test results... I should have received my results via email within 48 hours. My follow-up appointment with my Naturopath is today. After waiting 45 minutes for an appointment (originally scheduled for 11:45 on Monday, Dec. 6), and without apologies the phlebotomist brought me to a room to have my blood drawn. There was no introduction or verification of my name before she put the tourniquet on my arm. Once the tourniquet was tied, she walked away and began conversing at the computer with another attendant about someone's address. Needless to say, the lower part of my arm began to turn red and hurt. I called her over to pull off the armband. She did and went back to the computer before returning and drawing blood (again, no apology). The entire experience was unprofessional. The laboratory technician stated I didn't properly label my containers which is why there was a huge delay in my test samples however I filled out the containers with her. She said it was ok when I hand delivered it. She's not very professional socially. Can't even ask her simple questions like how long will service take. She just responds "I don't know". read more

Had to go here to get my MMR immunity test for work. Brought the paperwork and they sat me in the chair. Paperwork didn't have MD signature so they then lectured me about how I was putting the phlebotomist in danger of getting fired and to "not do it again" as if I made this mistake on purpose. Very rude and condescending. Problem could have easily been remedied by calling my employer and the urgent care the lab test was ordered from. But no they talked down to me instead. Come back with signed paperwork. I sign-in and I watch as 3 people get served before me and my waiting time goes up. Terrible service and rude staff. read more

I had an appointment & still had to wait 1/2 hour past my appointment time. They were not friendly, nor did they seem professional.

Quest refuses to provide an opportunity to criticize its laboratory production, but apparently is willing to have its employees criticized. I had absolutely NO complaint with the personnel at Quest. Rather, I have twice now responded to Quest's post-visit survey by advising that the blood analysis it provided was incorrect and that I was immediately prescribed medicine that it turned out was NOT appropriate. Fortunately, the NP at my clinic noticed what struck her an anomylous analysis and ordered a follow up, which showed that I did not have the medical condition first indicated. Quest has not responded to either of my attempts at getting an apology and an assurance that it not make that mistake again. Quest's customer service is deplorable! read more

Arrived soon after opening time at 7 a.m. without an appointment because I needed a morning time and morning appointments were all booked up for several days ahead. I checked in and the online system said it would be a 5 minute wait. At 7.30 I hadn't been called. Someone else who'd arrived at the same time for a walk-in and I both asked what was going on. We were both told that we couldn't be seen until 8 a.m. at the earliest. I needed to go to work so had to leave. THE SYSTEM SHOULD NOT TELL PEOPLE THEY WILL HAVE TO WAIT 5 MINUTES WHEN THEY ACTUALLY WILL HAVE TO WAIT AN HOUR! The most terrible experience. After one month I have yet to receive my lab results. First they said my last name doesn't match, I had to have my doctor call in to fix that. Then they messed up my first name and said it does not match. Meanwhile they had no problem billing me and my insurance. I am still waiting for the results. The lady also did not return my insurance card. I don't know what these guys are doing! They cannot handle a simple name entry and return insurance cards. Made the appointment thru the automated system & got confirmation. The day of the appointment I was told that that they don't take automated appointment for the kind of test I am having?????????? We were scheduled for an appointment for a particular specialty lab, drove 25 miles to the lab, arrived on time, waited 30 mins, and were told that they don't do that type of lab this late in the day, despite a printed confirmation that we were schedule for that lab at that time. No apology was given for the incorrectly scheduled appointment. Lab tech said she was "too busy" to do it. Poor customer service. This appointment was after multiple calls to several local Quest labs. Phone were rarely answered. Website offered conflicting information about how to schedule the lab work we needed. read more

In and out in around 15 minutes. Made an appointment, but was taken earlier. Lady that took my blood--Brianna I believe, I know it was a B name--was the best that's ever taken it. Professional and friendly and cute. Got it first try, no pain. My veins are notoriously hard to get, most people going over their allotted limit to poking me, which I then have to pretend didn't happen so I don't have to come back later. Parking garage was convenient, just be sure to bring cash. $10 minimum for debit or credit. Ask them to validate you on the way out. I'm assuming most people that have bad experiences are more likely to leave reviews, so I'm leaving this positive one to let people know this place did right by me. Everyone there was nice and friendly, even as one lady looked like she was being mean to the staff. Will be getting all my labs done here now. Had previously had them done at One Medical, who while nice, frequently lost my blood and stool samples, sent in the wrong forms, and had clerical errors that resulted in me getting $400 bills I then had to deal with. read more

I'd suggest going to LabCorp instead. Quest does not have contactless checkin. You have to go inside, touch a screen to get the QR reader up, and then scan your code. With LabCorp, you can check in from your phone while sitting in the car, and then wait in the car until they are ready for you. I will say they ran on time, which I appreciated. My appointment time was at 8:30 am and they took me at 8:34 am. The phlebotomist, Tammy, was really rude and snapped at me when I couldn't remember the ordering doctor's name. It's an intake appointment, for goodness' sakes! The worst part is I did say the right name, but it's a hyphenated name. Either Tammy didn't hear me or couldn't see both names on her screen. But who needs to be snapped at, especially on an empty stomach with no coffee for fasting labs? The really troubling part was what Tammy did when I needed to sign something. She just stuck a pen in my face. I turned to look for hand sanitizer and saw a bottle behind me. I reached for it to bring it to where I could get some. She snatched it away and told me "I'll sanitize you after. That's our protocol." Excuse me? Do I have to beg for hand sanitizer? I finally asked if I could have a different technician, hoping to get the other woman, who seemed super nice and friendly. Instead, I got the woman from the desk, who was also not particularly friendly. All in all, a rough way to start your morning. I'll request LabCorp from now on. read more

Worst company ever. The receptionist/phlebotomist was the worst. I leave my doctor and immediately go to the lab because I need the blood drawn that day according to my doctor. I got there an hour before they close and sign in. She starts giving me attitude almost immediately. Other customers come and she helps them but not me. She tells me to come back but I have to get the blood work on a particular day so need it done today. No one else is told to come back. She claims her system isn't working yet somehow it magically works for all the male clients that come in. She helps all the male clients that came in after me before finally "helping" me. She finally takes me after it is too late to go to another nearby lab and tries to draw blood from each arm- fishing around. She amazingly can't find a vein and says oh you'll have to come tomorrow. What part of I can't come tomorrow is not clear? What part of my statement that a test must occur on a particular day isn't clear? Despite my thinking this I'm polite up until she says she can't help me and I need to come back when there are more people working. How about you cut the crap and pissy attitude and tell me that earlier in the hour when I have time to go to your competitor. read more
