I've been to this Quest twice in the past month. I've been pleasantly surprised by my experience both times. I had to do a really large blood draw and was super nervous. The first time I went, my technician, Laura, was so compassionate and kind. The needle didn't hurt at all, although I started getting super dizzy during the draw and Laura calmly pulled out the needle, gave me water and had me put my head down to steady myself. She wasn't impatient or annoyed at all, and just kept a calm and professional demeanor. I also had zero bruising from the bloodwork, which rarely happens (compared with Labcorp where I end up with huge bruises on my arm every time I go there). The second time, Maryam was my phlebotomist and I told her I was super nervous and almost passed out the last time. She had about 15 tubes of blood to draw for me and moved me to a recliner chair which helped so much. No pain with the needle, and no bruising! And somehow I got through the whole thing without passing out and without having to stop midway. Both times there was a short wait, but at least I knew when I was going to be called and how many people were ahead of me because the names are on a screen in the waiting room. The facility is pretty stark, but it is a blood draw lab, I don't expect a whole lot more than the basics. The parking can be annoying. I would definitely come back to Quest over the other labs I've used - both of my experiences at this Quest were far more positive than Lab Corp or Sutter Health Lab. read more

Grumpy staff, glacially slow service, unnecessarily unpleasant experience all around. Avoid, avoid, avoid.

My experience was as good as it can be for getting blood drawn. I made an appointment, but showed up 11 minutes late and I take full responsiblity. Their computer system is strict and there's only a 10 minute grace period because when I checked in on their tablet, the tablet stated I lost my spot. So I decided to "wait it out" and added myself to the in-person waitlist. I was surprised that I only had to wait an extra 20-25 minutes as a standby, I guess there were many "no-shows". The lady named Fariba who took my blood was pretty friendly and even told jokes to make this process more relaxed. Thank you Fariba! Overall, I hope to not have to come again for a long time. ADVICE: From my observations, this location needs a receptionist. So many people who walked in didn't know where or how to check-in, especially using a tablet. Some people had insurance and billing questions. People started waving down any nurses who came out to call the patients, to also assist with the inquiries I just stated. This place should be shut down: lab technicians don't practice good hygiene, my technician repeatedly coughed into the air and finally donned a mask. The cubicles where they draw blood are open to the general waiting room and your PII is regularly exposed. While waiting for my appt, I heard patients names, their birthdates and their addresses repeatedly exposed because the technician told people to "speak up". The plastic container for lab specimens was dirty. The technician also had a painful needle stick. She was not practiced. The office is ramshackle: terrible lighting, outdated equipment, dirty walls, stained carpet, outlets exposed and unsafe. Also, zero parking. Just a horrible, horrible experience. read more

Her professionalism is top tier considering the pressure she faces as she is always being left solo to manage the crowd (I've witnessed this three times) I appreciate her efficiency and hard work. I agree with many of the other reviewers. This place is understaffed and so slow moving. Even with an appointment you will most likely be kept waiting. Pro tip: Book an appointment! Came in on 8/24/21 (Tuesday) and waited for nearly two hours for my blood to be drawn. From what I can tell, if you're a drop in that's the least amount of time you can expect on waiting in order to be seen. Not to mention, I came in around the time they opened, a little after 8am. So definitely book an appointment before coming in. That will save you tons of time. I thought my provider had booked an appointment on my behalf and I was dead wrong. If you get here after 10am, forget about it. Try the next day. My guess is that it probably is less crowded during the later part of the week. Another observation I made was the screen indicating your wait time couldn't be more wrong. It said I had 11 more minutes of waiting to do for nearly an hour. All that said, the staff here is absolutely nice. When I took my complaint to the front desk she was understanding and listened to me without interrupting. I must've opened the floodgates because after my initial complaint people got in line to give their two cents. The lady working the front made a general announcement that they were short staffed and doing the best to keep up with the line. No matter whether or when you make an appointment, these people will always find a way make you wait and wait and wait. The location is convenient, sunny, and generally pleasant. But over the last year or two the quality of service has gone downhill dramatically. My insurance allows me to choose between Quest and LabCorp. There are more LabCorp locations nearby and they tend to be more crowded. But at least LabCorp will honor your appointment time and you will get your labs done. When you show up for your appointment, you'll just sit there listening to the desk staff chatting and gossiping for 15 minutes before they acknowledge your existence. There's a woman named Layna (approximate spelling of her name) who is constantly rude to the older clients. She berates them for not moving fast, after she has kept us waiting for an hour. I scheduled an appointment for 1:10. I got there and checked around 1:13. At first, there was only one person drawing blood, and there were about eight people waiting. I saw my name on the list of people on the TV. The TV kept playing an announcement that said that you should make appointments instead of doing walk-ins, because then you'd experience "little or no wait." I waited for 30 minutes, and the person ahead of me was called. After about 10 more minutes, I checked the TV, and my name had disappeared. I asked one of the workers about this and she seemed stressed out and a bit annoyed with me, and said that it was my fault (but didn't explain why). Glitches with the website, unapologetic staff. Will not text you when you are up as a walk-in. Purposefully there is no front desk person. It seems, only people to drop blood, because they want to avoid having to make any accommodations whatsoever no matter whether it was a website issue or just a human issue. Imagine going to the DMV but they take your blood. Actually, my last DMV visit they were a lot more friendly than here. Note: I did try to learn from my poor walk-in experience last time and make an appointment. The website did not let me make an appointment tbe first time. However, it has taken an eternity to get results. Had a routine blood draw 16 whole days ago and still no results. My doctor had to follow up, and they said results are still "pending." This review is specifically for Brie. I came in with an order form that was half baked and incorrect, not to mention that I forgot my ID and insurance card. Things were looking pretty hopeless. Instead of just telling me to go away and come back when I had the correct order form, insurance, ID, and credit card, she went as far as calling my doctor for me, navigating phone trees, and brainstorming. we eventually found the right order form and I was able to get my blood drawn for the test. Very disappointed with this facility. My child arrived early for an appointment at 7:10am for a timed blood test, but the lab never opened. Their info says they open at 7am, but the lab was closed even at 7:30 when my child finally left. The Quest phone number is just a recording, no help at all. I made an appointment and still had to wait 25 minutes. Everyone was in the same line whether they had an appt or not. There are a lot of staff, but no one talks to patients. It's all digital. I had to go in to wait in line and check in again(did it on my phone) to see how long of a wait. Online it says 5 minutes. I would've been better off go to a closer location that didn't have appointments. Or just going at a time more convenient to me without an appointment. I'm very frail as are several inside waiting for so long risking covid infection. For me, I will be in unbearable pain because I had to wait so long. I am not very impressed with her replacement Yolaina, as she lied to me about the bathroom being out of order. Thank you to the fantastic phlebotomist that did my daughter's first blood draw this afternoon! She was so friendly and explained everything in an age-appropriate manner! I've been here many times over the years and they've always been friendly and professional. This afternoon when I took my daughter for her first blood draw, we walked in after getting the lab request from her pediatrician upstairs, signed up for a "walk in appt" on the tablet and then completed the registration on my phone. We waited a bit, but not too long. We could see the estimated waiting time posted on the big digital board which helped us understand where we were in line. The office seems clean and like they are really following COVID-19 protocols. Much appreciated. read more
