Quest is a great store! We visit Sausalito a few times per year and always make a point to shop there. it is so important to support SMALL businesses who managed to stay open during the pandemic. He also told him he doesn't want people browsing around. we walked back to the outside of the store to grab the name and the man came out of the store trying to take a picture of us. It is a delight to be treated with care, patience and kindness while shopping. The salesperson was a gentleman and treated my husband and I with integrity and respect. I was so pleased that masks are required to keep us all safe. The store itself is clean and well organized with beautiful blouses for women and upscale clothing. The mens clothing is also exceptional. I was very happy to enjoy this visit to this very classy store and be treated with such caring. We have bought several clothing items from Hooshang. We love going to this shop as his taste in clothes is phenominal and we always find way more stuff than we have room to take home with us. We've gotten three sweaters and several tops there. My wife's tops always get facebook likes when she is wearing them. The sweaters also have turned heads and gotten a lot of rave reviews. My story: I got a very nice coat from here for Christmas. Receipt said purchased November 11th or so, but they miscommunicated that it was a gift for me (left in my mother in law's condo), and I had to pick it up. By then it was February, and I had biz travel so I couldn't get there to nearly the end of March. I walked in with the well kept jacket that was too small for me (long in the arms and torso). This kindly gent didn't hesitate to take the jacket back, find me the right size (even though a different style, the same brand... and I liked the new jacket and especially the cut far better), and help me exchange it quickly. There was a slight upcharge on the jacket that didn't make sense vs what I saw on the tags, but I'd rather get the best fitting jacket I've ever had and be on my way that start to haggle. I was in and out in a few minutes, and now I've got one of the most elegant articles of clothing I've ever owned. It's spendy, but he's helpful and I appreciated his accepting of taking a jacket back that had been out of his store for 4+ months. read more

Maybe this guy is biased against Asians too. We were looking at some shirts that our son might like, and we wanted to send him an iPhone picture so that he could order them. The owner came over, confronted us, and very rudely told us no photography was allowed. We explained why we were taking a picture (in order to get him some business!), but he became even ruder and told us to leave. I confess to using some foul language, and he replied by calling me something even fouler. Pretty unprofessional for a business owner, I'd say. Forget the shirts -- I'd never do business with someone like that, and I suggest that you do the same. read more

While wondering by what I thought was just another casual wear shop, a really neat shirt caught my attention from the window - which does not happen often as I am mostly oblivious. The gentlemen behind the counter, Mr. Seda, greeted me promptly and asked if he could assist. I inspected the shirt and then later returned when my expert clothing partner caught up. She immediately wanted to see the shirt on. Mr. Seda quickly sized me up without measuring mind you, located my size and showed me the dressing area. While I suggested a larger version, he discouraged that move and convinced me the shirt he selected would fit me properly - and he was right. We also asked how the shirt wore and that's when he pointed out he was wearing this same brand and noted that with a little TLC in the wash, the shirt would last many seasons, just like the one he was wearing. I really appreciate his attention to detail as I am so accustom to wearing over-sized clothing that it's just second nature now. The most impressive part of the visit is many clothing sales people have little to no experience beyond operating the cash register and gladly that was not the case here. Mr. Seda clearly knew the store's merchandise and knew how to properly size clothing. While there, I also needed a newer, dressier belt and again Mr. Seda delivered with a nice belt which he said would be perfect in the middle slot after a couple of wearings. Overall, I cannot remember the last time I entered a casual men's and women's clothing store and received such outstanding service, guidance and personal attention. The next time I'm in San Fran, I plan to take the GG Ferry to Sausalito and visit this store. Cheers. read more

I've never felt so insulted before. My son tried on the sweater and we were not sure if we liked it. As we were walking out , we asked "what time store closes". The response was shocking. Owner shocked his head and whispered "trash!" That my daughter over heard him say. I returned to the store a minute later since we thought my son left his sunglasses on the shelf while trying on the sweater. The owner once again behaved so rudely. I approached him and expressed my dissatisfaction but his further response was even more shocking: "look for your glasses and leave my store! Shop somewhere else." I almost never write reviews but his time I had to! As a parent of 3 , standing next to me , and as an established doctor, I would not create unpleasant scene at the store to show my kids inappropriate behavior. I can afford things more expensive that what's in his store but he should be in business where customer interaction is nonexistent. He is rude and disrespectful!!!! I visited this store last week, looking for a sundress. The weather was a little warmer in San Fran than I expected. I ended up buying a gorgeous sweater (I could not resist) and having it shipped home. The owner of this shop made my experience unforgettable. He is a delight and has excellent taste! SHOPPERS BEWARE!!!!!! This owner discriminates based on size. He was rude, obnoxious and honestly I've never heard anyone say the "F" word so many times in one sentence. Let me start by saying my husband and I were staying for a one night stay in Sausalito to celebrate the purchase of our new home. Based on the warm welcome we received at the hotel as well as the other shops on Bridgeway; we decided we should stay another night. So, the decision was made to go shopping for a nice shirt for my husband to wear out to dinner since he only packed one for the trip. We immediately walked into HOSTILE territory as we began looking through the inventory. The owner walked over and pointed out to me by pulling a shirt off the rack and pointed to the XXL on the tag noting we should only be looking at those shirts. I didn't think anything of it and we continued on our hunt. As we gathered approximately three shirts, the owner yelled over to my husband with a "TONE" in his voice saying, "If you tell me what price range you're looking for, I might be able to help you". My husband replied, "It's not about the price, it's about the fit". We finally had our 4-5 shirts and asked for the dressing room which the owner pointed was in the back of the room as he rolled his eyes. My husband started trying on shirts and as he took them off, I started buttoning and putting them back on the hanger as I always do. The owner walked over to me and in a very rude tone said, "I really hope he doesn't plan on trying every XL shirt in this shop", once again rolling his eyes. I started chuckling because I honestly thought he was kidding at first. I mean, come on, who is that rude. Well it struck a cord because I had seen the eyes roll one too many times, so I said, " What if he wants to try them all on?", he crossed his arms, rolled his eyes one more time and gave a huge sigh. He stood in my space making me extremely uncomfortable. After he walked away, I knocked on the dressing room door...because my husband was unaware that any of the conversation had just taken place and I told him to take of the shirt and we were immediately leaving. He was puzzled but he knows me well enough to know something major had to have happened for me to be that upset. He proceeded to take off the shirt, I then walked over with the shirt, laid it on the table and told him he just missed out on a sale. This is where it turns into the twilight zone. He told my husband he was too big to be shopping in a store like that and to get the "F" out of the store. My husband was so shocked that his knee jerk reaction was to tell him to go do the same. The owner proceeded to ask my husband where in the world would he ever wear a $150.00 shirt? This guy is really clueless. I guess he's never taken a Customer Service class. I will not stop here. The Better Business Bureau will be informed and I will file a discrimination suit based on his biased service to my husband clearly based on his weight. It's sad that my husband who has 3 herniated ruptures and unfortunately has gained some weight because he has not been able to play the sports or work out as he once used to had to be made to feel less than a human being.
