My five star rating is simply because during my at least two decades of shopping at GH I have…read morealways been treated in an exemplary fashion, even though all I purchase are casual coats and never any of the beautiful Italian suits. Wayne, Tom and especially Mitch have always been polite, respectful, helpful and never critical of my casual, unsophisticated--they might say crude--manner of dress, and they never try to nudge me into their pedigreed suits. Perhaps in part because of our shared Asian ancestry, Mitch has been extremely helpful in always finding the right coat, and Franco, the tailor, is most accommodating, swift and accurate in any adjustments required. At my age, eight y seven, I probably will never buy a suit, but I have asked my son to do so, and I am sure he will be perfectly serviced. I don't know why negative reviews show up, but I would suggest that the rudeness they perceive is simply their own unbridled narcissism projected upon a dignified, sinless staff, who seem to be quite forgiving of such entitlement.

The items appeared to have been donated by the store, so even though the shirt was larger than my size, I assumed I could take it over to the store and exchange it for the same shirt in a smaller size. Upon going over to the store and requesting that the exchange be made, the store manager was quite indignant and flatly refused to make the exchange. She indicated that they did not donate it (there goes their extra credit for supporting local events) and demanded to know who had donated it (I'm guessing because they didn't want their shirts being donated!) All I can say is that I have a very expensive shirt for someone who is an XL and the manager of Paul & Shark has really proven that they are not a business that is community friendly. I'm sure they will be happy to take your money, but beware if you expect a reasonable discourse outside of that.

2 Stars Honestly,…read morethis place was pretty lame and anticlimactic. My friend and their sister stopped in expecting a better experience, but the service was extremely mediocre. No eye contact, no enthusiasm, and the tone felt like they were more bothered to help than actually interested in having customers. What really rubbed me the wrong way was when they tried to charge full price for an item that was discounted. They didn't mention the discount at all -- they only adjusted it after my friend noticed and asked about it. That's not the kind of thing you should have to catch yourself. For the prices they're charging, I expected better service, better energy, and an overall experience that felt worth it. Unfortunately, it just felt overpriced, underwhelming, and not very welcoming. Definitely left feeling like we could've spent our time and money somewhere else.

I spotted what looked like inexpensive caps and made a mistake of taking the tags off two that didn't have prices marked: "These will do," I thought. It was my fault for taking off the tags but this price seems exorbitant.

She quickly disappeared upstairs, only to come back down when I called to her that we wanted to check out. But the strangest feature was an amazing lack of any diversity in the items they stock, or at least try to stock. Most shelves were half empty, but with empty stock boxes left in place. I will give them credit for the high variety of ultra processed foods they carry. So many brands of energy drinks and candy bars. Unfortunately we were after milk and orange juice -- no indication these were out of stock -- just didn't carry them. We finally found two items to buy, using a credit card I don't use much in case it gets hacked. As others have noted, very few items show prices. The clerk wanted me to sign for the total without showing me the cost breakdown. Eventually I had to accept the itemization on the receipt. I don't know if this is legit or not. Maybe it's just how their system works, and I am old fashioned. But I will be keeping a close watch on my credit card statements. Caveat emptor!
