My mom has been coming here since we lived down the street, and still comes here now that I have older kids of my own. I had never been inside when I was younger, but since she frequents here maybe every month. On two separate occasions in the past year I've come in to get her a gift card here. The first time I came for the giftcard and gave my mom's name for the card. The co-owner and lady who does my mom's nails, asked if I was her son, to which I replied yes. I would not personally recommend this salon. The staff was generally nice and friendly, however I called ahead and asked if they offered polygel services. She said yes and I made an appointment. When I get there I continued to say I wanted a "polygel fill" and she said yes she can do that. After filing down my nails she pulls out a powder and I explained that polygel is not a powder, it's a gel-like substance that hardens. You typically sculpt the polygel in a mold and then apply it to the finger. She tried to tell me the person who did my nails before used a powder and then painted with gel polish over it (not true, I saw how my previous nail tech did my nails and there was no powder used...). I showed her a YouTube video and she finally said she doesn't do that. After checking with my previous nail tech to make sure the powder wouldn't mess up my nails, I chose to allow her to do a fill with fiberglass, because I just needed something to get done. She then requested payment before she painted my nails which I thought was odd. She said it was because I was typing a lot and if I mess up the paint she doesn't want me to blame her (I was getting gel polish so my hands would've been in the light anyway). The paint job wasn't the best, and after she filed my nails the shape looks off. Overall just disappointed that they said they offered something when they actually didn't, and they proceed to try to convince me that I didn't understand how my nails were previously done. read more

I don't know who the heck has been rating this place! I'm AMAZED that they have the reviews they do!!! I'd give no stars if I could! UNSANITARY!! There is no washing station! You have to go to the bathroom in the back where they have ONE used brush that isn't even soaking in the cleaning solution!!! What kind of nail shop is too cheap to have CLEAN BRUSHES?!? The rest of the shop is dusty and dirty as well. It's SUPER TINY AND DIRTY!!!! The place looks destitute. OVERPRICED!!!! Most nail shops charge more when the shop itself is nicer - updated/renovated, complimentary drinks, all high quality/top rated nail polish, flat screen TVs, complimentary headphones new pedicure massage chairs, individual toe dryers under the nail stations, charging docks, etc. This place is charging $35 for "powder gel!" THAT DOESN'T EXIST LADIES!!!! IT IS POWDER OR IT IS GEL! It's sad as hell that people aren't smart enough to realize something as simple as that. A beauty supply store couldn't sell "hair powder gel" as gel but these nail salons really convince people that there is such a thing as "powder gel" smh. ITS ACRYLIC!!! Gel nails are done with GEL!!! They also charge $$$FIFTEEN$$$ for gel polish!!! WHAT??!!?? All over the country (NY, TX, CA, MN, IL, GA) I've paid $5 extra for gel polish, $10 max and that's been at posh salons with complimentary champagne etc. The audacity of this place to charge Neiman Marcus prices for Low Income Neighborhood Thrift Store quality is INSANE! They're like the sellers on Amazon, Ebay, Poshmark that try selling something the original vendor/retailer, etc. sells for cheaper brand new (Bath and Body Works candles that are ALWAYS on sale being sold on Amazon/Ebay for $25 ????). They have s very small color selection. They do a poor job painting. They don't have fans at the nail stations to dry. They only have about 3/4 nail stations and 2 pedicure chairs. I couldn't get a pedicure unless I came back after someone else was done. They charge $1.50 to pay with a card!!! I think it's nuts that all over California merchants charge customers $.50. You're a business, be glad I'm doing business with you??? Plus it's a card/tech/digital world. Most people don't use cash. THIS POOR QUALITY SHOP is charging TRIPLE what most merchants charge!!! I am a huge fan of this place. I get my eyelashes done here by Amy. She is a certified Xtreme Lash consultant and does a great job. Amy is very professional and her workspace is clean. She also knows her stuff about lashes! Everytime I get my lashes done she also waxes my eyebrows and everything looks great! Amy and her parents own this shop and have been a staple in the neighborhood for 17 years. They do nails and pedis and they have a loyal following. Her parents are very customer service oriented and I think they have the clientele for many years just because of the customer service they provide. I sometimes get my nails done here when I need a quick fix. They are always the best at everything they do. Neigborhood leaves a lot to be desired but make day time appointments! read more

The owner use to do my mom's nails. Her nails started hurting after about 4 fills. When my mom went to the salon to have the nails removed professionally, the older female owner put clippers under the fakes and pulled them off causing my mother severe pain. She was crying and pleading with the lady to use a different method of removal because it hurt. The lady said this is "the best and fastest way to remove, other ways take too long"! The owner's lack of conscientious care is appalling. She has been in business for decades and knows better. Don't go here if you want clean, best practices. Limited nail color selection, cannot do nail design/art, not sanitary and use questionable products and techniques. read more

Mediocre. They were nice but dead. Cheap prices. Got a Mani for 8 but paid 5 more for French tip. No acrylic for me. My pedi was 18 bucks. It's a small place run by a mother and her daughter. Her daughter does eye lash extensions a bit pricey. The location is sketchy cause of the location with homeless and people walking around everywhere. No state of the art machines. Basic Asian nail salon. They are very nice and good. Just not the best. If your looking for a quick fix this would be the place to go. They helped care for my nephew while my sister and I got our Mani and pedi. He was four and independent. read more

This place is a cute little mom & pop shop. A rather small spot, limited stations and waiting area. The gentleman who did my acrylic full set was very kind and thoughtful. He continued to make sure I was happy with his work, always asking if it was okay and if I liked it. The reason I have to give this 3 stars is because there were a few issues with them that I didn't notice until afterwards. The tips that he glued on were not glued on all the way. I had many air bubbles and gaps between my nail and the tips which was gross because gunk got stuck in between them after a while and was unable to remove. The acrylic that was applied to my nails was also applied to my cuticles and skin which was uncomfortable and not-so-good looking as it grew out already lifted. The price-- the prices that are advertised and told don't match up to what they actually charge. The menu says $16.99 for an acrylic full set and $22 for fiberglass full set. I was charged the $22 even though it was acrylic that was applied. Lastly, after a week the nails started to pop off due to the lifting from the improper acrylic and tip application. read more

I love this place, I live nearby and have been everywhere else around here. Love this place, never too busy so you never feel rushed, never have to wait. Very clean and professional, cheaper than other places, with better service. Amy does great work with eyebrows and lashes, her mom is a pro with nails. This is my nail shop!!! read more
