I first came to SugarCoat after avoiding gel manicures since 2010 (or whenever it was first invited). I think I've only done gel manicures 2x in my life and Lord the damage to my nails was so terrible that it was enough for me to just stay away. However, regular manicures take forever and don't last, so after much research and prayer, I ventured to Sugarcoat. During my first appointment I was very candid with Nat about my distrust of gel manicures and how much I cared about the health of my nails. Not only was Nat understanding, but she explained to me why her process was different and what I should expect during the gel-removal. In short, I've been a customer for about 9 months and I will never turn back! Ladies (and/or gents), if you care about the health of your nails and want a quality manicure and pedicure TRUST Nat to deliver every time! They clean all of their tools with a sterilizer machine, each pedicure station gets a new plastic covering per client and I've never had any issues with fungus/infection. Prices are reasonable: I usually get a gel manicure ($30) and basic pedicure ($20) plus tip. COVID precautions: every client and staff member is required to wear a mask. They ask all clients to wash their hands and check their temperature upon entry. The pedicure chairs are divided with clear PVC curtains and the manicure stations all have a plastic barrier screen between the tech and client.
