    My Acrylic Nail Fullsets

Queen nails is my spot! They are consistently good at what they do. I haven't encountered a bad nail tech since I've been coming here (almost a year). They are excellent at doing acrylic nails and pedicures. The owner (Frankie) is super friendly and always makes sure clients feel welcome and have water. My acrylic nails are almost a week old in the photo attached and they still look new!

French tip - horribly done. Don't do it or go here for it
    senite b.

Don't come here if you want nails done for a wedding, graduation or anything special. You will be embarrassed. I asked for French tip and she didn't match one tip to the next, she made my nail crooked and when I asked her to fix it she barely made a change. When I would tell her to fix something she wouldn't change it. And expected me to tip her full when she rushed through my nails and didn't give me quality at all. This used to be my favorite nail salon and now I was to rip all my nails off out of embarrassment.

*Queen Nails has some sort of review filtration system on Google that will not show my review on there, glad Yelp doesn't remove LEGITIMATE reviews.* Edited to add: surprisingly enough, my nails are already peeling and chipping 3 days later. So much for a $40 no chip! It saddens me to even be writing this. This was my favorite place to get my nails done. Over the last 6 months I have visited several times. I used to have good experiences, got what I asked for, and I left happy. Yesterday I was treated disrespectfully & when I made very patient efforts to communicate my concerns, I was dismissed. I came in to get a no chip mani & pedi. I explained to the nail tech that I wanted to try a fall inspired French tip idea with different shades of fall polishes. When I asked for the color palette, he kept telling me to write down the 5 colors I wanted for my design and was impatient with me. I had my fingers soaking in foils and it was hard to use a pen and flip through the colors. I was going for an oval shape. He filed my nails & some of them were uneven & not the shape that I asked. He continued to shape them as he pleased and continued to act annoyed with me. We began the French tip, he started to paint my whole nail & I told him I asked for French. He began to remove the polish and did the French on a few nails. Then he went back to saying that I should just do the whole nail and it didn't look nice. I told him that I liked it French, but he kept saying that it's better to just paint the whole nail. I started to feel like he just didn't want to do the French for whatever reason and that if I wanted to have somewhat of a good experience, to just go ahead with the full color on my nails. This was after he had already put a base coat, a light sheer coat for the french and then the color. The nail polish just kept getting thicker. There were fuzzy bits in the polish that left white and black residue on my nails and when I pointed it out, he continued to be annoyed. After scraping the no chip polish off my nails several times, he covered the parts with a thick top coat that left bubbles and even more thickness in my nails. And on some nails, parts were missing top coat entirely. During my entire manicure, any small modifications I asked for were responded to with deep loud sighs and visible frustration. Pedicure -- I asked for him to be careful with one side of my nail because I had stubbed it and had a minor crack in the nail. I asked for my nails to be cut and he continuously kept filing them instead of cutting them down. He then started to rush through the pedicure so I asked for someone else to do it & had to wait around 15 minutes for the next available tech. Finally, when she came, my experience started to get better. She started from the beginning and cut my nails to my desired length, cleaned my feet up very well, and was incredible compared to the other two techs. I asked for Funny Bunny on my toes, and when she was on the second coat, the color she was using was different than what I asked. (Original tech brought the wrong color). She asked if I wanted my color on top of this but it wouldn't have made a difference after already having the other color under. I had been in the salon for almost 3 hours. I was running late for work, and just waiting for it to be over. I was finally done & tried to explain what happened to the receptionist during my visit. Both my mani and pedi were unpleasant & not what I asked for, and on top of that, I was treated horribly compared to the times I've been here before. I was told I could come in the following day to fix this but I refuse to ever come here again. After 3 hours, who would want to go through all of this yet again? My visit was a complete headache, wasted time and money, they offered me a whopping $3 discount. I paid them $80 and now I have to pay all over again to get what I actually asked for elsewhere.

    My new stiletto mail set.

Walked in was greeted right away by receptionist. Went to Frankie and he took off my old nails and put new stiletto nails on and I wanted ombre done. I showed him a picture and by far did he kill it . I love the way he nailed the stiletto shape and even gave me a white glow in the dark that changes to blue. He added little hearts like the photo showed. Now I been to many nail shops and that's the reason I came in after two weeks of a nail set on and the place that I normally was going to just started lacking on doing a great job on nails and they were already coming up and I was like I gotta try to find somewhere to go to get these off and put new ones. It wasn't until towards the end did I realize he was the owner. I'm very happy with my new ombré set that also glows in the dark. Thank you very very very much Frankie.

Second time going..first was to get a acrylic full set..they came out nice so i went back for a fill in..apparently polish change and nail cut down is extra with a fill in!?!! I was charged $35 total! Literally $10 more than any other place I've ever been too!! I've never been to a place that polish change and nail cut down is NOT included! I'm a licensed cosmetologist and there was steps that was not taken during my service..not once did she ask me to wash my hands to begin with! Should of left just from that!! In all..i would never go back im very disappointed in my service..

Poor shape, chunky and gross. Had to soak off immediately

If I could give it zero stars I would. First of all they have no sanitization between customers. The owner Frankie decides to go oj random smoke breaks and works on clients wrecking of cigarettes! Everyone is not even hiding the fact that they're talking shit about you. Nail techs will abandon you if you're asking too much even if they're not doing a decent job. On this day that I had my last straw, I had been soaking for 40 mins and my mom waiting for the same amount of time despite having an appointment. It was almost closing time and they didn't even schedule me again. The lady cut me with with her cuticle clipper. While I kept asking her to shape my nails because they're too overgrown she started filing at my skin instead. I had lost it by this point since it was soooo painful and asked her to stop and that I don't even want color I'll pay for the pedicure. She gets up to leave and another lady takes over my color. Meanwhile my mom comes back crying because the girl she had pretended not to understand English and didn't shape my moms nails. When I spoke to her she knew perfect English. I called the manager over who was already pissed from another lady that got upset and left. He started screaming at her because the nail tech didn't do a good job and she wanted her nails redone. I told the manager my foot was cut and he asked me never to come back in front of customers. He claimed that I was making false claims and that I cut my foot on my own. Wow. After 6 layers of toe polish I paid and left. I've been there three times and each time I had to get my nails fixed by another nail tech because they're always in a rush for tips.

I went with the $25 option and the scrub and massage were HEAVENLY.

Came here on a Friday afternoon when my regular place down the street couldn't fit me in and I was on a time crunch. Cute little salon that is pretty clean. Lots of colors to choose from on the regular (OPI, ESSIE) or no-chip options. Massage chair was good. The owner offered me a beverage and checked on me often. This was my first time ever getting a pedicure from a guy. At first I was worried but it was perfect. Like I said earlier- massage on my lower leg/calves was quite strong. Perfect after a day of barre and running around doing errands and housework. He is an older gentleman who was quite nice and laughed/smiled while I was giggling during the callous removal. I am extremely ticklish. They have free parking in a lot immediately to the right, slightly behind the store. If that is full because it is shared, there are also plenty of street spots but remember to pay. I am going to treat myself to a paleta after my toes dry at the shop we discovered 2 doors down the other night.

SCARRING FROM FACIAL WAX FIRST APPOINTMENT

WARNING, DO NOT GO THERE! NOT PROFESSIONAL, VERY RUDE. NOT CLEAN. POOR TIME MANAGEMENT. DO NOT FOLLOW COIVD-19 PROCEDURES. VALUE MONEY OVER THE CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE. POOR PROBLEM SOLVING SKILLS. POOR CLEAR COMMUNICATION SKILLS. RUDE ATTITUDE. OBVIOUSLY DON'T HAVE PROPER SERVICE OR SAFETY PROCEDURES. My 1st visit used the same wax on me that they used on other people. The lady changed the stick but kept double dipping and I also got skin ripped off in the process. I thought maybe it was just a bad experience and I called to let them know that they should change the wax before using it on other customers, the man I spoke to NGUYEN T, The owner agreed. Keep in mind that same wax is being used for bikini, face etc. My 2nd visit I set an appointment for 6pm when I got there I had waited 45min before they told me they are unable to serve me. I was still very polite because I understand businesses make mistakes. But this hell hole didn't deserve that. My 3rd visit they did not change the wax again. My skin got ripped during the process. I told them the lady ripped my skin, I would like a refund and I was told they do not do refunds. He did not care at all or even apologize for the bad experience. Keep in mind that same wax is being used for bikini, face etc. The esthetician state boards of 50 states in the U.S. have banned double dip waxing. Here's how it works: When someone double dips, they introduce a tiny, microscopic amount of their bacteria--good and bad, alike--into the dip bowl. If your chip or crudité happens to come into contact with their bacteria, there's a chance that it could make it into your mouth. Keep in mind we are in a global pandemic. A lady asked for her seat to be wiped down. The older male nail tech that sits closer to the window said no it's okay Covid-19 is over. I uploaded pictures of my scarring as-well. Oh and I will be calling my brother that works for Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).

My first time experience here at queen nails was great! I felt very welcomed here, Frankie was very accommodating offering water and such to us. The place itself is very clean and updated, music was playing, and a good amount of staff working. I loved the atmosphere and even though we did wait a while, it was worth it. The prices were reasonable and I loved the point system they have, every visit = Points = points can be used for future visits! Overall, I would come back!

My friend recommended this place and Ken especially. Ken is my favorite! She is very thorough and meticulous when it comes to doing nails. I usually get a pedicure and a full set manicure. They have transparent plastic walls they put in between you and the person who is doing your pedicure as a COVID prevention tactic. They use warm towels during the pedicure on your legs and feet. Ken provided great and honest recommendations in terms of colors and how I should do my nails. For example, I had 2 chipped big toenails from stubbing my toes and Ken suggested using tips to make my toenails look symmetrical. Best suggestion ever! They don't charge extra for coffin shape and Ken is a coffin shape pro. She's a regular full set gel nail pro and a powder dip pro (she doesn't make them too thick). Overall always a great experience! I'm a regular now!

I went to Queen Nails in their first few months of opening. I had desperately needed to get my nails done and I was unsatisfied with my current nail situation. I walked in and Frankie took me in right away. I am very picky when it comes to quality and color of my nails. If I am going to pay high price for my nails, I need the best. I had such a wonderful experience that I only go to Queen Nails. They were affordable, ALWAYS had the newest trends, ALWAYS great service, and ALWAYS the BEST quality. My nails usually last me for up to a month until I need a fill, which is great for my busy schedule and I don't live near there anymore. I moved away for 2 years and I never found a place that did even half of what Queen Nails does. When I moved back into the city I tried a salon near me and they broke within a week. No where else near me would take me, didn't have acrylic, or was rude. I had to make the hike to RP to see Frankie and IT IS WORTH IT!!!! I will always be back. This picture was taken today, but done 10 days ago, still looks and feels amazing!

We each got our nails done and honestly if the experience was like this back home I'd get my nails done way more often! The nail techs were ready for us when we got there even on Christmas Eve Eve. My mom was seated first, then me 3 minutes later then my SIL 2 minutes after me. I'm not chatty at all when I get these services done and I loved the way my tech was on that wave too. Mom and SIL love to talk and were deep in convo with their techs. The manicure itself was thorough - my insolent cuticles were tamed and removed with ease - and the polish job itself was great. I mostly avoid manicures because I chip the polish in 24 hours but here we are 5 days later and my fingers still look like shiny disco balls. Why I would return: -comfortable seating at the nail tables. Sturdy with room for ample bottoms -friendly and efficient service. There is NO NEED to be at a nail salon for hours. We were out in 45 min max including dry time. -welcoming reception. I love seeing my people when I'm out and she was very warm and inviting. So much so when I told people where we went to get our nails done they asked if she was working. -good job on the polish. Clean lines, no smudge, long/lasting. -NO CHEMICAL SMELLS. From a customer side this was nice - I'm sure from an employee side it's even better. -Super clean and modern. Sometimes nail shops can be worn down. It's clear this place is investing in the space - which makes a nicer work environment and experience for all.

Appointments: They are an incredibly busy nail salon, so I highly recommend making an appointment if you're thinking about getting a service done. They do take walk-ins, but you may have to wait. Service: I have now been to You & Co 4 times. Interestingly, I have learned that my experience differs quite a bit depending on the tech I get. The first time I visited was in the summer because I had a gift certificate. Sadly, my first time was not a great experience. I told the tech that I had ingrown toe nails. She did take care of it, but within a day, my toenail was infected, was painful, and had pus coming out. I almost didn't return. Then, when my salon closed, I decided to give You & Co another shot, since they have overwhelmingly positive reviews, and my first experience could have been a fluke. I wish I got the name of my nail tech for this second one because she did such an incredible job. My gel mani and pedicure were meticulously done, and my no-chip lasted for over 3 weeks. The third time, I had a guy, who was also meticulous. However, he recommended no more than 2 coats on my gel manicure. I get the reasoning so that my nails don't look thick, but unfortunately, my nails started chipping in less than a week. My pedicure lasted for over a month though! The last time I went in December, they were really informative in helping me with some fun holiday nails. I opted for the cat eye nail polish, which I loved. What I generally appreciate about You & Co is that they are quick but mostly detail-oriented. If you're busy, this is great.

I never had a Russian manicure before but was willing to try it out. She paired me with two technicians. Adele who did the manicure and Jamal who did the artwork. Russian manicures are high quality focusing on cuticle deep cleaning which can extend manicure wear. In fact, all of the work is dry application meaning your nails never get soaked in chemical solution. Total work with the artwork took 4 hours to complete with longer lasting results versus a traditional gel extensions. I kept my manicure over 3 weeks before seeing outgrowth and even then they still looked great! When it came time for removal they used a fine drill bit (no soaking was involved). Some of my nails ended up lopsided anyhow. No hand massage, no lotion and sloppy polish application. I had to ask her to redo several nails. When she's done, she takes me to the drying table, tells me how long to wait and starts to leave. Until I call her back to turn the drying fan on. (I couldn't find the switch). She stomped off, never to be seen again. I had to ask one of the other techs to bring my bag and shoes over, because she didn't. This was very disappointing.

I NEVER thought I would be the type of person to write reviews, but this place truly deserves one…read more So I am taking the time to write one! because other people definitely have to check this place out! I went in for a pedicure and a no-chip French tip. When I left, I wasn't completely satisfied the tips were a bit crooked and too thin, and the French base was more milky white instead of the neutral pink I prefer. I didn't say anything at the time because I'm pretty shy, and I didn't want to come off bratty. After showing my nails to a friend, she encouraged me to call and get them fixed. I was hesitant because I didn't want to come off as someone who complains, but I'm really glad I did. The receptionist was incredibly sweet, super apologetic, understanding, and accommodating,. She encouraged me to come back in and insisted they could fix them . When I returned, another nail tech gladly fixed my nails exactly how I wanted them. Not once did anyone make me feel uncomfortable or like I was being difficult. They were kind, patient, and genuinely welcoming the entire time!!!!!! Great customer service makes all the difference, and they really delivered!!!!! I truly appreciate how they handled everything . I was super happy!!!!! Definitely recommend this place!

Oh, so many good things to say about Glow Nails!!! This is my favorite nail salon I've ever been to…read morein the Chicago area. I started coming here shortly after they opened, having randomly stumbled upon their Instagram with only a handful of followers. Right away, I was impressed with the clean and beautiful space, quality, pricing, and welcoming staff. All of the nail artists there are 10/10, kind, and talented! I've never had a nail salon where the techs remember what we talked about weeks prior. I have greatly enjoyed getting to know the entire team!!! They truly make the salon what it is and bring the best energy. Due to the salon's focus on natural nails, my nails have gotten longer and stronger. I've loved every set I've gotten, and the girls have let me try new trends, such as cat eye and fairy dust. I've loved exploring different nail ideas, and the artists at Glow always do an incredible job executing any ideas you have. I've also had a few great pedicures here. The pedicures have been so relaxing, and my feet always look incredible after, no matter how rough of shape they were in when I walked in. I appreciate the time and care they put into all their services. I have recommended Glow Nails to so many friends in the area and will continue to do so!!! I wish I had more photos of the nails I've gotten done here, as I've had so many wonderful sets, but I'll include some favorites.

I've been searching up and down high and low around every corner for **my perfect nail salon** --…read moreand I didn't find it in Get Nail'd. Overall, my experience here was fine. As you can see in the photos, the salon is beautiful. I asked the owner and she said they've been open 2 years in that location (so I was surprised they weren't on Yelp!). I went in for a dip manicure (which is hard to find around here, WHY!?). I didn't have an appointment. They quoted me a 20 minute wait, which was fine, and I sat in a pedicure chair while I waited so I got a little back massage! A few things: 1 - The colors were organized so nicely on the wall but were really limited. It wasn't until I was looking for 5+ minutes when the woman working told me there was a book with more colors. 2 - This was the fastest dip manicure I've ever had in my life. It wasn't a bad thing. In fact, I don't enjoy sitting at salons forever waiting for my nails to be done. But the shaping of the nails is a bit funky, they look like bubbles, and it's thick. She clearly rushed through getting them done. They look fine though, overall. But if they were trying to close or just couldn't take me, I would've found another place to go to. 3 - The cost was $50. I did not get lotion or a massage or anything. It was a no frills service, which again, was fine for me this time around. But I don't think I found **my place** yet.
