I come here for 2 reasons. It seems to be the only place where my gel manicure last a whole month & the exceptional customer service! I went in because I accidentally chipped one of my nails. She ended up making my whole hand look brand new. Every time I come the customer service is great and they treat you so good. Let's not forget the fact that they are actually talented at what they do. I definitely recommend this place for anyone looking to get their nails done.
Venus nails delivers when it comes to service. I came in on a Saturday afternoon expecting to a busy crowd. But it was the exact opposite more like 4 or 5 people in attendance. I was greeted as soon as I walked in and offered a complimentary beverage. I don't get pedicures often but when I do I always tell the technician to massage my feet firmly because they are always sore from working out. They actually listened, so for that I'm an grateful. Why not 5 stars you ask? Nail places tend to be really pushy at times about getting you to upgrade and pay more for things you don't want. I came in simply for a pedicure and she was practically going to start the manicure if I didn't move my hand and say no lol. Other than that's it was a good experience!
Should've read the reviews before coming here. Now I feel like an idiot... Popped in after getting my brows done at the place next door. Was immediately screamed at by the front desk lady about what I wanted. I told her I wanted a gel manicure but would like to see the colors first. She told me they were on the wall but forced me to sit down and instructed the technician to start on me and I can see them later... I wanted a nude so she threw one at me and I was like whatever that's fine. The technician trimmed my cuticles so forcefully I was in pain. She didn't spend much time shaping them either. I could've done a better job myself. She also took a half eaten yogurt with a spoon in it from out of her drawer and finished it off while my nails were drying. Grossed me out. Meanwhile a fight broke out between a customer and the front desk lady about prices that got me a little freaked. Overall couldn't wait to get out of there.
They gave me the worse overlay on my hands and fast ass pedicure. I haven't been to the Salon in about 3 months and the nail tech proceeded to tell me I didn't have dead cuticle skin to clean up. WTF.. I'm not a tech and I clearly see it. My acrylic gel and paint was horrible on my hands. The acrylic was placed extremely thick. I told the technician it's too thick. She said, I'll fix. Long story short. She didn't! Never again! I hate conflict face to face so I didn't complain. Lesson learned!
I paid $60 for a gel mani and classic pedi, my gel mani didn't even last a week! When I've gone other places they lasted me 2-3 weeks, which is typically how long they're supposed to last. After starting on my pedi, the nail tech working on me (which I think is also the owner), proceeded to tell me they're credit card machine was down and they were only accepting cash. I do not carry cash on me and would've appreciated a heads up before starting on the services. They did this to other other clients in the salon as well, most were very upset and got angry. The techs all told them to go to 7/11 across the street or the atm in the laundromat near by to grab cash. The nail tech working on me, was on her phone the majority of the time arguing with someone about a bill and did not do a great job on either my hands or feet. Safe to say, I will NOT be returning her for services anymore.
This is the best nail salon I've been to. I typically make an appointment with Mindy. She's extremely inviting and professional. I've also been to a few other techs in the office and I have not been dissatisfied yet! I typically get a gel coating on my feet and hands, which seems to last quite a while. I definitely recommend this nail salon If you are a perfectionist like me.
Wish there was a lesser than 1 full star to rate them. RUDE, BAD ATTITUDE, UNPROFESSIONAL etc ...can not describe how they treat their customers ! ! ! I had gone in to get my eyebrows done & was simply trying to show the staff/(owner LILLY ?) pic on my phone as to how I would like it to look. She did not even bother to look at it. She YELLED @ me "go home" and walked out on me, and refused to do it for me. She was soo angry 4 the mere fact that I was trying to show her how I would like my own eyebrows that's on my face 2 look like. What kind of work ethics is that ??? That was highly unprofessional & disrespectful ! ! ! DO NOT GO THERE IF U DON'T WANT TO BE TREATED W DISRESPECT ! ! !
Decided to leave my review now that I am a "regular". I've been coming to this salon for over a year now, first out of convenience, but now because I love lily. I think it's worth mentioning that from the very first time I went here I was given great customer service, because obviously it's expected at this point. I go to Lily for acrylic overlay, eyebrow, and Brazilian waxes. My eyebrows are very important to me (lol) and I appreciate that lily always keeps them thick like I ask.

DONT DO IT , DONT GO . if you are a perfectionist don't do it . 2 hours for a refill is ridiculous . for see through uneven nails is trash . they're friendly but horrible at doing nails . these nails look 1 week grown out . application was horrible . no i did not tip they didn't even deserve my $35 fill . first of all the color i chose looked nothing like it on my nails . 2 coats of clumpy glitter with ZERO pink tone in it . then they wanna get an attitude with me because i want it taken off because you can see through it and see the difference between my nail and the acrylic tip ??? the fact is IT LOOKS NOTHING LIKE THE COLOR I CHOSE !!! i don't care that the numbers are the same , they aren't the same . so then she kindly put a trashy half a$$ clumpy pink coat with the see through clumpy glitter coat over it to finally give it a pink tone . THANKS . the nails aren't the worst just don't look close at all . see through , clumpy , uneven , not even close to my cuticle . at least they haven't broke and aren't peeling . read more

I have been going to this shop for the past 8 or 9 years; and oh how I miss the previous owner. The current owner Lily has been there for several years at this point. With her taking over came some major and much needed improvements. New chairs, work stations, and a host of other changes. Now for the bad part... They do not sanitize the pedicure stations. I'm not exactly sure how they clean their towels but they are hard and wrinkled before they even get used. Hand-washed maybe?? Her customer relations, work ethic, and customer service skills leave much to be desired. I find myself going to other nail shops for services at this point or doing it myself at home because of the poor customer interactions and lack of cleanliness. She has one of the nastiest attitudes I have ever dealt with in my life. I only continued to come because I really enjoy my pedicures that Ann does for me. Now for my most recent experience.....I went in today to get my eyebrows and a pedicure with my aunt. I was informed that my technician was on vacation. Because I'm so particular about my pedicures I opted to only get my eyebrows waxed. After going back and forth and being pestered about not wanting to get my pedicure done by someone else I sat and waited patiently for 45 minutes for Lily to finish doing a gel manicure. Meanwhile another customer came in and also stated she wanted her eyebrows done. After Lily was done with the gel manicure, she took the customer that came in after me to the back. I called out to her twice and was ignored. So I got up and walked to the back and asked why she took another customer in front of me. She stated, and I quote "You told me no, so I told you no!" So pretty much she refused to do my eyebrows because I didn't want someone else to do my pedicure. She let me sit there for almost an hour, only to ignore me and tell me she would not provide me any services. This is not the first time I've experienced her rudeness but it is certainly the last. I refuse to spend any more of my money in this place and recommend that no one else does either!!!! read more

Went in about 45min until closing and was still seen. Ended up getting my nails done by Lilly the owner. She was super nice! Actually spoke with me for a bit compared to most nail stylist I gone to that don't. Felt like I was actually a customer. Her husband is not that talkative, and he was a little harsh on the drill so I would beware if you get your nails done by him. Overall I am def going to be a repeat customer, they do lashes as well. Plan on going in sometime soon to try that out. read more

After a bad experience at the salon next door I decided to give Venus a try. The salon looked like it had seen better days. There's a wig sales counter in the back and a rack full of made in China jewelry. I was desperate to fix my nails and so I gave in. This was a waste of $45 dollars. The service was poor; the quality of work was non existent and the overall experience was appalling. Use this review and save yourself the pain and money this place will cost you. read more

Worst nail salon ever. DO NOT COME HERE. The lady that was doing my pedicure wasn't even properly painting the nails and got mad when I told her to redo one and add more polish the nails that didn't have any. She then proceeded to do my manicure and cut too much skin off the fingers. When I told her I didn't want the manicure anymore she said something is wrong with me. Very professional to say something like that to a customer. Never coming here again. Don't even waste you're money, they are mediocre to say the least. read more
