Queen Margherita is a great pizza spot! We went on a weekend evening, and there was virtually no wait. The place is much bigger than it looks from the outside. Our party of six had the following: 1) 2x DIAVOLA ($19) - Fior di latte, sopressata, black olives, hot peppers 2) THE DOMINATOR ($20) Fennel sausage, rapini, smoked mozzarella, fried chilli oil 3) CALABRESE ($20) Calabrese sausage, garlic, black pepper, pamigiano 4) GIO OLDSCHOOL ($20) Fior di latte, cherry tomato, prosciutto di parma, arugula Note that our group unanimously decided that the diavola was the best! We also enjoyed the dominator and the oldschool as a close second, but all of them were great. Note we gravitated toward the red sauce (Rosso) pizzas. Overall, the pizzas are thin so you can definitely try many different kinds if you come with a big group! This spot is definitely a solid choice for pizza in Toronto!

Some of the beat pizzas I've ever had in Toronto! It all starts with skill and I was told that they have a real pizza chef in the kitchen from Naples Italy. So expect some authentic Italian flavours. The crust is perfect thin with just the right amount of chew and crispiness in the outside crust. The sauce is flavourful, well balanced, complimenting the pizza without overpowering the other ingredients. And the other ingredients are all nicely prepare and fresh. We had appetizers, arancini (rice balls) that reminded me of Italy, fried cheese ball and crostini with various toppings, all very flavourful and high quality. I could have just eaten just them for dinner. Very friendly serving staff who made us feel very welcomed and comfortable. The restaurant is big and open concept, sorta hipsterish. I wish there was one in my neighbourhood.

I popped in here for two take away pizzas over the long weekend, and they were both scrumptious. We went for a traditional Margherita add parm and their Diavolo, which had fior di latte, sopressata, black olives and hot peppers. This restaurant is much bigger than I had imagined. Two stories with two bars, lots of seating an their beautiful wood-fire stove on display in the lower level. Her Royal Highness appears to be good for a group, a date night or if you want to bring your kiddos. I shall return!

You'd think that since they specialize in pizza they'd have proper take out boxes instead of just wrapping it in foil...this was a year or two ago though so hopefully it's improved Pizza itself was okay but I wasn't blown away considering its $16-20 for a relatively flat personal pizza.

What I ordered: $30 Prix fixe menu including The Birdman, Eggplant Pizza, Pear and arugula pulled pork pizza, Italian sausage pizza Also comes with appetizers and dessert Pros: - Lots of areas to sit, this restaurant looks small on the outside but has a lower floor that's double the size. - Of the appetizers, I would recommend the mussels- there's a generous serving compared to the other apps and it was delicious too. - Of all the pizzas, I enjoyed the pulled pork pizza the most, great balance of sweet and savoury. - Dessert: I would recommend the Nutella mousse, the flavour was subtle and not too sweet. Cons: - not really a con but The Birdman pizza might not be for everybody, it is literally a kale salad on a pizza. I believe that if you're going to eat pizza, you've committed to it being unhealthy but this was a confusing combination of in between healthy and not

Had an amazing meal with a couple of friends. The pizza was so delicious but I could have just eaten the crust on its own. Appetizers were to die for especially buffalo mozzarella! Make sure you leave room for dessert!!!

I ordered 2 medium pizzas, both was the worst pizza that I ever tried before. I don't want to try this anymore. I ordered it by Uber Eats and I payed $40(!!) for 2 mediums and horrible pizzas that are in my garbage right now. What it's not fair because pizza is my favourite dish. *Detailed review below:* - GOOD MARIANNA: Dough: the part that wasn't completely burned was ok. Topping: Salty! - ROCCO PIZZA: Dough: Completely undercooked in the middle. Topping: Just horrible. Salty, a lot of SALT. This one was by far the worst pizza I ever tried.

My boyfriend and I popped into this location on our way to a concert next door. We had disappointing appetizers elsewhere in the night, so we weren't super hungry. We decided to just grab a few drinks and appetizers. If your looking for cheap eats, this is not your place. A beer, a vodka cranberry and 2 appetizers came to $50 (with tax and tip). The food came pretty quickly and made up for the high price point in flavour. The meatballs came with 4 medium sized meatballs. The meatballs came with sauce but didn't need the sauce to taste good as they were full of flavour on their own. Perfectly cooked all the way through, not remotely dried out. The aranchini were slightly bigger than the meatballs and came 3 on a plate. The aranchini were perfectly cooked. A slight crisp on the outside but a warm and goey inside. The rice inside was perfectly cooked. The aranchini and meatballs paired very well together and we were very satisfied with our meal.

I didn't think I would give Queen Margherita 4 stars when I first walked in for dinner but they actually surprised me. There were only a few tables full and no server around to sit us at a table. I had to stop a waitress to get a table and she was clearly new to serving in general. She couldn't pour beers from the tap without a glass full of foam and her understanding of the menu was adequate but limited. She did suggest doing a he prix fixe menu which included an appetizer, pizza, and dessert for $32. It's a decent deal if you're getting a $20 pie. The appetizers we chose were arancini risotto balls (3 to an order) which came on a bit of tomato sauce and two salads. The portions of the salads weren't large in any sense of the word but well seasoned. The kale salad has actual charred bits so one of the guests at our table did not enjoy it at all. There's also a vegetarian bianco pizza that has the same charred kale so diners beware. Our server got better and the restaurant filled up decently so the warmth and ambiance improved. We were able to do 3 prix fixe orders for 4 adults and 2 kids but the pizzas aren't that big. They are about 10 inch pies cut into 4 quarters. Add a few beers and a coke and the bill came to $130 before tip.

This is the latest outpost for this chain of pizza restaurant. Arguably not the greatest location as I personally find this neighborhood to be less desirable late at night. However there seems to be some moment in terms of new restaurants here so one never know this might end up like Ossington. Anyway one to main the spot this place has lot of seating and doesn't seem to have much traction so might be a suitable spot if one seeks space for a larger crowd on the weekend. We both opted for the Prix Fix. Salad was caprese and for pizza I went for the mushroom. They allow substitution which might be good for some folks. My DC even got them to put tomato sauce on a white pizza! Salad was good though I think it needed a little more salt as the olive oil made it to mellow. Pizza was decent like the other location. As for dessert they really faltered here. The chocolate tart was horrible. It had a very grainy texture. I did sample the nutella mousse and that was awful as well. My recommendation is if you can dessert somewhere else by all means don't go for the priz fix. 3.5 stars all said and done.

Had the Gio Old School delivered. Pizza was good - love the thin crust and but a tad soggy in the middle which could be due to delay in delivery. Will come back (and visit restaurant) to try other items on the menu!

This place gets a solid 4.5/5 for its authentic southern Italian food and very friendly & attentive…read moreservice. It has a very homey, old-school Italian American restaurant ambience - the opposite of the stylish, hipster or touristy restaurant vibe. Apparently this restaurants gets a lot of regulars, and I could see why. As soon as you walk in, you feel like you're transported back to the 1960s with the red-and-white checkered tablecloths, red chairs, old-style wax candles, brick walls, and a large black-and-white photo of an Italian family on the wall (perhaps the founder or owner's?). I could see this place being a movie set for films that need an old, classic Italian American restaurant as a setting. In addition to the décor, I love the 1960s music being played in the background. Size-wise, the inside of the restaurant isn't that big so it feels very cozy. It can get very busy and crowded after 5 pm, as most people seem to come here for dinner. We came during lunch hour and we were the only patrons there. The southern Italian touches are very apparent in most of their dishes - with heavy reliance on olive oil, tomato-based sauces (especially in the fish and seafood dishes), fresh seafood, herbs, peppers, and vegetables such as eggplant. This is in contrast to northern Italian cuisine that is characterized by rich, creamy dishes using butter, lard, and cheeses, and puts more emphasis on rice, polenta, and meat-heavy dishes (where as seafood is more prevalent in the south). Dishes that we tried: 1) Baccala (Pan-Seared Black Cod) - This was the BEST and my favourite dish here. The black cod had a crispy exterior and flaky interior, and came with roasted mini potatoes and mixed vegetables (zucchini, red bell pepper, Brussels sprouts, eggplant) roasted with garlic -- such a well-rounded and wholesome dish. The roasted mini potatoes were so flavourful, and the vegetables had a nice char. I asked for the puttanesca sauce on the side, as the fish was already flavourful on its own without the sauce. But the sauce was better than I expected - it contained actual whole chunks of cherry tomatoes and olives. 2) Steamed Mixed Fish & Seafood in Tomato Sauce - This dish wasn't on the website menu, but it was on the printed menu in the restaurant. It reminded me of cioppino (Italian-American mixed seafood stew with tomato sauce, herbs, and spices). It came presented as wrapped inside aluminum tin foil, which the server then opened in front of us on the table with steam coming out. The fish was salmon, and seafood consisted of mussels and shrimps. This dish was just alright. For almost $50, there wasn't much seafood. 3) Pizza Funghi - I liked the very thin and crispy crust, and the sliced roasted mushrooms as toppings, but I wasn't a fan of the "truffled honey" they added on top of the pizza. I didn't taste any truffle, and the honey made it very sweet. Not a fan of sweet pizza. 4) SIDES: Rapini, Brussels Sprouts, Mushrooms - They got bonus points for being able to customize the sides. They didn't have asparagus that day, so they substituted it for steamed Brussels sprouts with garlic instead - which was heavenly. The Brussels sprouts weren't overcooked at all, and they were generous with the garlic (anything with extra garlic gets extra thumbs up from me). The rapini came out chopped with a side of lemon wedge. Mushrooms weren't on the menu as a side, but we asked and they were able to make a simple side of just mushrooms. Overall the vegetables got 9/10. The chef was very friendly as he came out and talked to us. The server was extremely attentive. Great service overall.

They have a great stock of wines and an impressive drink list that we don't get to enjoy as we can't handle drinks these days. We do enjoy the food and the friendly service immensely tho. Lots of options for shareable apps; excellent options on pizzas and pastas; and I am always impressed with their mains (as someone that has to limit carbs, options can be limited at some Italian restos). They are also understanding of reasonable diet requests. They have gluten-free options as well. It is more of a "quiet" restaurant in terms of the clientele chatter, at least for the times I was there, so I can hear the music they play ("oldies"!!!!)
