Gluten-free tea service (gluten-free bread, crackers, and lettuce wraps not shown)
    Farrah A.

What a cute experience! For a feminine, floral, Bridgerton-vibes tea room experience, Queen Bee's Tea Room hits so many high notes. I went for a friend's birthday gathering: We all dressed up in our funnest florals lewks and enjoyed tea service for about eight ladies. We did have to order and pay in advance, a I LOVED that they have a full gluten-free option. From sandwiches with gf bread to gf crackers provided for my dips and spreads to the gf dessertssss. Plural. I wasn't limited on options to indulge. They also have a full bar, so you can do flights of martinis and cocktails if tea isn't what ya fancy. There's a lovely patio, so many photo opps; however, you might get in the way of the staff and they didn't seem to happy about that (but ya'll made the place dang cute!). There's also complimentary valet (street parking is limited). The full tea service I got was $65 and it it was more than enough to share with a dining companion.

Absolutely adorable new tea room in the Heights. The food was good and the teas were delicious - everything with an interesting Texan spin and hilarious menu names. The vibes in the tea room were immaculate and perfect for photos. Our server was generally good but it was a little difficult flagging her down later in the meal for tea refills. Also there is predictably no parking since it's the heights although they do have valet.

My mom was visiting for a few days, and I surprised her by bringing her here on opening day. She absolutely loves tea rooms and even hosts her own tea parties for her church friends -- so this was such a joyful treat for her! We had the pleasure of meeting the lovely owner with the cutest cowboy boots I've ever seen :) and although I didn't get everyone's name, the entire staff was fabulous -- warm, attentive, and clearly making sure all was running according to plan. I can't miss mentioning the beautiful, fashionable hostess who welcomes guests with a radiant smile -- she truly sets the tone for the wonderful experience that follows. Nestled in the beautiful city of Houston, within the charming Heights community, Queen Bee's Tea Room is located in a historic landmark building that exudes timeless elegance. The outdoor space is a white picket fence dream, featuring a spacious patio with umbrella-covered tables -- the perfect spot to sip tea and enjoy the day. Step inside, and you'll be in awe of the stunning design -- every detail is thoughtfully curated. A floor-to-ceiling display of gorgeous teapots and glass jars filled with tea blends welcomes you at check-in. To the left, there's a full bar, and nearby stands a mannequin dressed in a regal Crown Royal satin gown. The colorful balloon canopy and throne-like chairs are true showstoppers -- transporting you straight into a modern-day Victorian dream. Even the bathrooms are impeccably decorated in black and gold! And on your way out, don't miss the iconic royal pink phone booth -- it's the perfect photo op. The menu offers a wonderful selection of crafted cocktails, tiered tea experiences, and à la carte options. Every detail reflects the perfect blend of British charm and Southern hospitality. Queen Bee's Tea Room is such a new delightful addition to the Heights community. I'm so happy we got to experience it and can't wait to come back again soon!

Absolutely divine experience at the queen bee. Made a reservation for a friend's bday and in December and our experience from star to finish was beyond awesome. Kind and friendly owners. Most of the crowd was ladies dressed in their Xmas . Cute spot with a real experience with their set menu. You get to select the teas each and it all Comes with a beautiful teapots and the various finger foods to go with it. If you have a child in the group they have their own disobey themed teapots and menu . Absolutely loved the scones and cookies , the savory corn bread muffin was a good Texas twist. We saw mom , daughter dates , being holiday season we could see extended families fill the tables: The owner made it spl by singing bday song to my friend another bday girl. The bday girl got a beautiful tiara The staff was attentive , knew their menu and made great suggestions. Ambience goes with the themes and oh every piece of cutlery and dishes has the bee theme. We will definitely visit again .

Queen Bee's Tea Room is an adorable addition to Houston's afternoon tea scene. The space is large and adorably decorated with lots of natural light and both indoor + outdoor seating. When I visited on a Saturday (Oct '25), they had a valet-only lot, as well as street parking available. All of the staff were so friendly, greeted us right away, came to check on us often, and were very personable all around. The tea service offered unique treats and fun spins on some of the 'classic' items. Each person gets their own pot of tea, and they are served in cute little bags. We saw a variety of people there, including a girls' brunch, a date, and a children's birthday tea. They also offer an individual menu, in addition to the tea service, and we were told they will soon offer happy hour / dinner bites, too. I'm excited to see how the space evolves and hope they stick around for a while!

My family and I (a group of women and children) came in excited for a special tea outing. We were dressed appropriately for the setting and had called ahead, where we were told reservations were full but that we could try to sit outside if we arrived early. When we got there, there were clearly open outdoor tables, yet instead of any effort to accommodate us, we were repeatedly told we "should have made a reservation," even after explaining that we had already called. What made this experience especially uncomfortable was not just the refusal it was the tone, the lack of care, and how we were spoken to. At one point, we were told to go to IHOP, which felt dismissive and honestly degrading given the type of experience we came for. Comments like "welcome to the Heights" were delivered in a way that felt condescending rather than helpful. As women of color, we left feeling unwelcome, looked down on, and honestly profiled. There was no warmth, no attempt to help, and no basic level of hospitality that you would expect from a place that markets itself as an "experience." What hurt the most was seeing how this made my mom feel. This was supposed to be a special moment for our family, and it genuinely broke my heart to see her feel dismissed and uncomfortable. No one should be made to feel that way. This was not about a lack of seating it was about how we were treated. After reading other reviews, it's clear that this is not an isolated experience. There seems to be a consistent pattern of guests feeling unwelcome, dismissed, or poorly treated, and in some cases, even feeling they were treated differently. Thankfully, we were immediately accommodated at Little Hen, where we were treated with kindness, respect, and genuine hospitality the complete opposite of our experience here. It made it very clear what proper customer service should feel like. I'm sharing this so others especially minority families looking for a welcoming place to celebrate are aware of the experience we had. I truly hope management takes this seriously and works on how guests are treated. I've included photos for context

Celebrated my birthday here. Had the best experience, our service was great, the tea was so good. The atmosphere was beyond what I expected you can definitely come here for brunch , lunch and evening cocktails there's something here for everyone . I love that they have flights on the menus. We got the tier and so many yummy foods and sweets. My favorite was the corn bread scone chefs kiss , we also got to meet the owner as she was making her rounds introducing herself she was the sweetest very welcoming and our waitress Jasmin, explained the menu very detailed and suggested a few things very well and was at our table side refilling our cups. Very chic and aesthetically pleasing outside and indoor seating. I will definitely be returning I loved everything about it 10/10

Gorgeous location to hang out with friends! Hospitality is top notch and the vibe is cozy and elegant at the same time. Homemade original treats are a perfect match to its surroundings. Yummy and plenty!

Here is $65 of food served an hour after everyone else's.

To be perfectly honest, I am really more of a Tea Sip kind of person and still lament the closure of that Heights institution. For me, 19th Street isn't the same without it. Path of Tea is a totally different kind of operation, however. As for ambience, although I did enjoy looking at some of the decor (hanging fixtures, wall art, etc.), the overall design of the interior felt a bit dated and I would classify the lighting as dim. When we walked in, the guy who works the counter was actually seated and seemed to blend in with the clientele. So, initially, it wasn't clear who's minding the store, so to speak. I thought the guy's communication was on the dry side, but was really more interested in the offerings to focus much on that. The tea I ordered was just OK (peach and apricot blend, as I recall). My guest enjoyed their tea and cookie, but for myself, my heart is still with Tea Sip and it will probably take a long time for me to find a shop of that caliber. Parking, as I recall, was fairly easy as it is towards the end of a strip center. Overall, I would rate this business a 3/5.
