I stopped in this flower shop as I wanted to support local, and they had beautiful arrangements from what I could see from the window. The woman that was at the counter was uninviting and cold. When I went to look at a floral arrangement, she immediately stated, "those are already sold." There were some on the counter as well. I asked her if these were sold also. She replied and said, "well they are, but I can sell it to you and I'll just have to make another one." When I asked her how much, she said $100. I then asked about the price of the poinsettias, to which she dismissively and rudely called her staff member to show me the poinsettias. I honestly would have paid the price for the original "sold" arrangement, but given how rude she was and how poor her customer service was, I left empty handed. Came in to custom make a bouquet...obviously if I wanted a custom bouquet I have certain flowers that have to be in it and if they don't have certain flowers I need to find substitutes for them. The florists there was annoyed that I had to think which items I want in them. Coming to the store after seeing their website, it's obviously that a simple bouquet is going to be in the $200 range which is what I expected when I walked into the store. However, the terrible service they offered at the beginning didn't allow me to be comfortable that they will even deliver my bouquet properly... better to just go a few blocks down for another florist who will provide better service. read more

I came in here as it was near my office and I couldn't make it in time after work to my usual florist. I needed to get a small bouquet for my mother's birthday. Heading inside the small shop, I received a very delayed greeting from the owner. I explained to her what I needed and she pointed out the pre-made bouquets outside. I told her I wanted to see what else she could offer. Seemingly reluctant to assist me, she still asked what budget I had and she could make me something. I told her a budget of $35-40. I waited around for her to assemble the bouquet and at finish, she told her assistant to ring me up for $50. I'm sorry what? I gave you a budget and you did not even consult with me for increasing the price. The bouquet itself was assembled flat, which is fine, however by placing another film over the assortment the petals of the flowers became squished. Needless to say, I am severely disappointed in the service I received at Queen Bee. Would not come back and would not recommend. read more

I bought flowers that were dead the very next day from here and when i originally bought them wished to exchange them with another, i hadnt even left the store & owner said no...buy both ...so i was stuck with these dead ones which i gave to a friend of mine next day barely realizing they were dead ....then a couple days later went back to ask for a refund the owner said "No"!! And kicked me outta the store She said we don't sell dead flowers like i was lying yet she knew she sold me an arrangement she sold for 75 then recycled them at 25 one week old... So so disappointed and embarrassed with my friend. I knew rose the owner quite well too as i really supported her shop at the old location....now she's on granville she is snotty. Beware dead flowers!...and very very bad service. All over 25$... Never again queen bee! read more

A flower shop is about beautiful things. Period. So if your window display is full of tacky made in China crap I will not even enter your shop. I don't care if you have the cheapest prices and incredible service. Just walking by this shop makes me angry because they have no taste or design aesthetic. Oso always has extremely tastefully made bouquets out front, or the owner will help put something very artistic together just for you. All of the flowers here are very fresh and very beautiful (nothing "ordinary" here), and you will also find a selection of delicate succulents and other plants in very pretty pots. Much of the aesthetic in Oso comes from Japanese ikebana (flower arranging), and so there is great attention paid to detail; rather than cramming a bouquet full of so many flowers that nothing stands out, the flowers here are put together in such a way as to highlight the particular beauty of each petal, branch or stem. read more

Fantastic friendly neighborhood florist. I've bought both houseplants and bouquets from here, always reasonably priced and the owner is extremely friendly. Once the credit card machine was broken and she simply let me take a bouquet (I really needed it since it was for a birthday that evening) and come back the next day to pay. This establishment was unlucky to have technical issues when I placed my order online. Credit card information wasn't transferred properly so they called me to clarify. The arrangement I chose online apparently was out of season, so they changed the order without checking in with me first. They also delivered the flowers on the incorrect date. In the end I wasn't charged anything, and luckily the recipient still liked the flowers. They just have some kinks to work out. Would suggest buying in store. read more

This place is a joke, they claim they cut flowers in special way to prolong life but they last just as long as any other shop yet charge twice as much. The one girl that works there is not friendly and looks like she has a twig stuffed up her ass. Will not recommend purchasing anything here, better go to Tala florist in burnaby on kingsway for affordable prices and beautiful flowers or Plush floral studio in north burnaby as her style is way better than Queen bee. read more

I thought I liked this sweet little flower shop. However, I have since changed my opinion after my last visit. In the past, I have bought arrangements for myself, had flowers delivered and purchased a very unique vase. Prior to Thanksgiving weekend, I called the shop(owner answered) and asked if I could bring the vase in and have some flowers put in it. This vase has three small holes that you put the stems in and it is kind of difficult to arrange them. When I bought it, the owner said to bring it in any time and she would arrange a few flowers in it for me. When I called, I specifically said that I wanted to spend around $10.00, so a few flowers and greenery. On the phone, she said "sure, we can do something" and mentioned she had some pretty berries. When I got there, I asked about the berries. They were $10 for each stem. I didn't want to spend that much and told her. She seemed very put out when I very nicely told her that. When I picked it up later, she barely spoke to me and was very cool. I kindly thanked her. But I will NEVER be back. If she did not want to put a few flowers in my vase, she should have told me on the phone. It would have been completely fine. At least I would not have had to slink out of there like I had done something wrong! read more

This little place is a gem! They have a beautiful assortment of planty things at great prices. I had been shopping around for a bonzai to give as a gift, and Queen Bee offered very reasonable prices, especially for the area. What's more, and what really sold me, is that the proprietor baby sat my purchase (I feared I would kill the poor dear before I could gift it) and even held on to it for almost an extra week! (Organization and time management - not my strong points.) I was incredibly impressed by the customer service, the proprietor's kindness, the beauty of the arrangements, and the fantastic value...I'll definitely be back for more botanical bounty. read more

The lady at the florist was very helpful , cuz it was my 25th wedding anniversary, she put together something awesome. I asked her if she could deliver a dozen roses to my sweetheart, usually you get a dozen roses and some baby breath , but what she did was, she put together an arrangement that my wife and her co-workers were amazed. When I got back home to see the arrangement I couldn't believe how nice it looked. I'm glad that the usual florist that I go to was closed that day.
