As the name implies this store seems to be dedicated to the boating lifestyle or cabin you might have. You'll find lots of nautically inspired home decor and gifts for everyone. When I walked into the store I was greeted by Danielle, the owner. She couldn't have been more friendly and I loved hearing her story about how she decided to open her own shop. Retail experience seems to run in the family as her mom owns a shop in the Galleria and she also had an aunt in the business too. You'll be sure to find something here so check out this great addition to Excelsior!

I was told to call and they would be happy to set up a date and time for me to pick them up and they gave me a card with the name and number of the gal to contact. I have made three calls to make those arrangements and none of them have been returned. They were also supposed to get a price on a lamp that was unmarked and then call me with that information and they did not do that either. I get that it's a once a month, flea market type sale, however, we are talking about customer service bottom line. They were happy to take my money, but evidently not to interested in delivering their merchandise. I would think twice before making any other purchase and certainly never buy something that I can't take with me.

We bought a few small items, greeting cards and a wooden spreader. Ryan told us the stories of the craftspeople and how they came to their arts in wood and paper. She picked out great paint colors for the walls and helped us decide on which blind style would work for each room. I recommend her to all my friends and family she does great work and really loves what she does.

Haven Maven just opened in a "small" retail space and I went there opening day. Guess I'm not sure…read morewhat I was expecting but have to say I was a little disappointed. I like the concept the owner created. It's basically a garage sale open during set retail hours. The place is a little difficult to find. The website explains that too. You won't see any signs for HM on the main street side but there is a small sign for it on the side street if you are headed for the parking lot in back of the building. Seemed a little awkward (but it works) as you have to walk through Serafina to get to HM on the second floor. When you walk in there's a "small" room filled with all kinds of "garage sale" items to look over. I was expecting "more" to choose from. Items are all marked with torn off masking tape. Yes... just like a garage sale. Most items seemed very inexpensive. Buyers beware though as all purchases are CASH ONLY and hours are limited (Thurs- Sat.) The owner does say she gets in new items weekly. Maybe if I happen to be nearby I might stop in again but I'm not sure I'd make a special trip to Excelsior just to go to HM. I'll give this place 3 stars for "effort" and "creativity" but let's see more merchandise.

I walked into the empty store and the woman working, who I assume is the owner, did not say a word…read moreto me and my husband. We were looking at dining tables, she walked by us multiple times and she never asked if we needed any help. I had to seek her out to ask a question, she answered it and walked away. There was a set we were interested in and she just stood at the counter 100 feet away from us and never approached us. She clearly did not want to make a sale today. Terrible service for a small business. They clearly are not interested in selling furniture so don't bother going there.
