Fish sandwich for
Erini N.

Yum Yum yum! Loved the fries and the sandwich! Definitely want to go back to try the cheeseburger. The place has a classic diner vibe, which I really appreciated, and all the service was delightful. Would def go back on the regular

Long time Nowood tradition Xavier Hotspot for burgers for over 50 years. Can't beet the 10 dollar lunch special. Each day is a different sandwich: cheeseburger, pork bbq or ham and cheese. You get fries and a drink either a can of pop or a draft beer. I had a light yingling.

This place is OK. My daughter and I stopped in for lunch yesterday during her workday lunch break. While busy and hard to find parking - we were able to order, eat and get out in the hour she has for lunch. My daughter ordered the Fish Sandwich, a side of fries and a soft drink. I ordered the Cheeseburger, side of fries and soft drink. My daughter said the fish was fresh, fried nicely and she thought it was ok. She said that it lacked any seasoning or flavor but was ok. I'm really surprised that this burger was voted best in Cincinnati, honestly. That must of been some time ago with different meat. The burger that I had, while still a little pink inside (the way I like them) was incredibly dry and flavorless. It was perfectly round and the consistency of a frozen patty and lacked any salt and pepper when it was cooked. It definitely was not the burger I was expecting when seeing the tag of 'Best' for it. All the toppings tasted fresh and the fries were good. The burger is just not that great. We'd stop back and try more of their menu. The service was friendly and quick.

My $10 cheeseburger, fries, and drink.

Our Y group went to Quatman's for lunch today. It is a no frills bar and cafe. Mondays special is burger, fry, and soda or draft beer for $10. The draft beer comes out in a frosted mug. The burger was great, and the shoestring fries, were hot and crispy. What wasn't no frills, was the service. The service was friendly and on point. The menu is limited, but with good food and great service. Give it a try.

The Cheeseburger Special - $10 for cheeseburger, fries, and a drink.

This was such a unique experience. The absolute lack of a vibe was an awesome vibe. No music playing caught me off guard at first but allowed for great conversation between friends. Good service and really good burgers. They don't skimp on portions, the burgers were juicy and the bacon was crispy. A classic cheeseburger. You can't go wrong with that and crispy fries. Quatman Cafe doesn't try to reinvent the wheel. They know who they are and don't try to be anything they're not. What a delight.

It's crazy to see that my last review was over ten years ago! While the price of the cheeseburger special has gone up (only by $2.50) and they've moved their location (just slightly) the food and experience is still the same no frills deliciousness. They have indoor and outdoor dining now and they let you order lettuce and tomato on your burger, but you still get your food on paper plate and the burger special still comes with fries and a drink of choice (including a beer if you want). The burger with onions and pickles is the way to go and it's delicious every time. I have never tried anything else here and I don't know if I ever will. It's exactly what I want and while I know people love the other items on the menu it's hard not to order the cheeseburger when I know it's perfection. If you've never been, they do have a parking lot along with street parking. The servers are friendly and helpful too. You'll see a lot of regulars here as well as families. This one of those old school, welcoming spots that feels like dining at a family member's place for a get together- especially now that they have the outdoor seating. It is no frills, but what they do they do well and at a great price. We stop by at least once every time we're in town.

A really good spot. Simple. Great burger. Great drink selection. Had a buzz about it ona Thursday at lunch time. Need more places like it

Started with the bean soup. It was Ok. The cheeseburger was very good. They were busy for a Tuesday afternoon.

Hudy light

This place has been here my whole life. It is consistent, delicious and cost effective . It's simple, you come in, you sit at the bar, you have a burger and an (always) ice cold mug of hudy. It really is that simple, but it is still one of the best burgers around. Specials for lunch almost every day. You just can't beat it.

Classic cheeseburger and fries from Quatman's

My friends and I stopped in here after bowling on a Saturday night, as we were in the mood for a good burger. We were not disappointed! It was quiet in Quatman's for a Saturday, so we were seated and ordered right away. We all went with the classic burger and fries option. My friend was a bit disappointed to learn that they have discontinued their onion rings, which she said was a true staple there for a really long time. When my cheeseburger came out, it was great! It was your classic burger; came with all the toppings I chose and was a nice thick size. There were plenty of fries on the side with it as well. It was kind of fun to see our food on disposable plates--made it feel as though we were at an outdoor summer BBQ down at a neighbor's house! It is also priced very well. I think my meal and drink in total were under $15, so it's good food for a good price! Would recommend it if you're in the Norwood area!

Burgers were so, so. French fries ok but the generic tasteless ketchup they had killed it. Stop at Wendy's instead.

To start this place is a "sit down" but you have to order at the bar and they bring it to you. We were a tad thrown off with that since they literally had waiters and people roaming around, didn't make sense to me. But that was just the start! We decided to order nachos and a pretzel to start the meal. The pretzel was disgusting, hard and lacking flavor and the $14 nachos was a side plate with a small portion of nachos on it. I asked the server what was with the size of the nachos and he said he though they were normal. They aren't, you go to a normal bar and for $14 comes out a platter with nachos that are loaded. Then our mains came out, my wife's salad was gross, lacking flavor and with dry chicken and my burger was decent. For $90 this meal should have been WAYYY better. We left feeling very disappointed and will definitely not be coming back.

The employees at the hostess stand were super friendly. We had a slight delay getting our table,…read moreand they even comped us a few appetizers, which was a nice surprise. We had a large party, and our waiter, Lil D, didn't miss a beat. He was super friendly, attentive, and always seemed to be right there whenever we needed something. The cars that move around on the ceiling are currently down while they're being repainted, but that's always one of our favorite features when we visit. Our food came out hot and delicious. The Jiffy Burger is one of my favorites! I always ask for the peanut butter on the side because they tend to be a little generous with it on the burger. They also sang for our birthday girl and brought her a complimentary bowl of ice cream, which was a fun touch. The only suggestion I'd make is to skip the extremely loud horn sound when someone at the bar leaves a tip or when the staff comes out to sing for birthdays. It's really loud and can be pretty distracting. We also love the fun car-themed sinks in the bathrooms and the automotive-themed napkin holders and food wraps. They have a cute selection of swag, too, including T-shirts, cups, hats, and more. We'll definitely be back!

I will do this in the words of Henry Ford himself:…read more "The grease in this place is of the good kind... the kind that smells of honest work and assembly lines, not the rancid oils you find in those fly-by-night lunch counters. I found myself halfway through the signature burger, marveling at the assembly--not a bolt out of place, everything in its proper station and the lettuce crisp as a cold-rolled steel sheet. A man appreciates a system that functions without chatter or delay. Sitting here near the assembly plant's ghost, I couldn't help but admire the vintage fittings; they've managed to capture the spirit of progress without the clutter of modern inefficiency. My wife has a constitution that demands specific care, and the server handled her requirements with the precision of a master machinist, wasting no time on unnecessary pleasantries but delivering exactly what was ordered. The restrooms, surprisingly, have a sense of humor, though humor is a luxury I generally leave to the salesmen. It is a good price for an honest meal, constructed with a respect for speed that would make a production line foreman nod in approval. It is a well-oiled operation and I shall return to see if they can maintain this level of output." And normal: From the moment i stepped in... the atmosphere hit me like a wave. It was a perfect blend of vintage charm and modern sophistication with antiques that told stories of a bygone era. The restrooms while quirky, added a unique touch to the experience. What truly stood out was the service. It was swift and efficient, with our server going above and beyond to accommodate my wife's allergies. Grant our server did amazing job ! I ordered the Ford signature burger, and it was an absolute masterpiece. The flavors were perfectly balanced, and the quality was exceptional. The presentation was top-notch, and the speed at which it arrived was impressive. This was one of the best burgers I've ever had, and i couldn't be more satisfied with my dining experience. Overall, Ford's Garage is a must-visit for anyone looking for a high-quality, efficient, and enjoyable meal. The prices are reasonable, and the atmosphere is truly special. i highly recommend this place to anyone who loves food and wants to experience a unique dining experience. - Atmosphere: 9/10 - Food Quality: 9/10 - Service/Flow: 10/10 - Value: 8/10 - Would Return: Yes. If you're looking for a great non pretentious burger, the Mound is where you should be. Friday nights, they have fish, not just during Lent, and some of the best gumbo in town. Get there early to make sure it doesn't sell out. Did I mention the wings? Forget those corporate places. The Mound has the best in town. While it is a bar and grill, it truly is a family place, too.
