A group of four of us (adults) did the 80s room (the most difficult level) at Quantum Escapes. It was okay, not the best escape room we've done. Two members of our group are well-versed in escape rooms and we required clues several times from our Game Master. While the room was well decorated to the theme, it was small and only had a smaller second room (more like a hallway). I'd say 6 adults in this room is the max, and even then you'd need to assign each person a section cuz there wouldn't be room for everyone to move around freely. I do have a few other complaints: - a couple clues and one solution was NOT from the 80s - we were able to skip solving a puzzle entirely and still escape. This means we were left with "extra" clues that we didn't need. Very confusing. -we felt one solution to a puzzle was not something most regular folks would figure out without a clue unless they had extensive knowledge of how escape room puzzles work -one clue apparatus was not fiddle-proof. Meaning one of our team fiddled with it and rendered it not working properly to dispense the clue. The game master had to come in and fix it for us Speaking of our Game Master, she was great! I wish I remembered her name. It was short, like 4 letters, with an "s" on the end. She gave us clues in a timely manner when we needed them, led us on the right track when it was obvious we were way off base, and explained the "leftover" puzzle. read more

My group of 4 did the No Signal room at Quantum Escapes. The staff was friendly and got us started right away. The room itself was smaller and less immersive than we expected based on the description. I was hoping there were more spooky/horror aspects in the room. Overall, it was a decent experience but maybe not the best pick if you've done a lot of escape rooms before. read more

Date night with wifey started here at Q Escape and it was awesome!! We finished our room with just a few minutes to spare. It was exhilarating. Clues were good and on-time as needed. The space is a bit hard to find, but please don't let that deter you, it's a clean facility, and responsibly run. The puzzles were interesting and the story line was engaging, I've been in. Escape rooms in other states and cities in my travels and this is right up there, bonus it's so close to home. Room quality is right there comparable with Red Door, another bay area fave. Do yourself a favor and take a group or just a significant other and check QE out!! read more

Escape rooms have become one of our favorite pastimes so we were really excited to try this location in Danville. We decided on Trapped in the 80s. The room was clean and very well decorated. A couple of the puzzles stumped us, but our host/game master was super friendly and very helpful along the way, and we made it through! read more

The booking process was great, and we were promptly greeted upon entering. The check in process was smooth, although there is room for improvement on the flow of others entering the room vs others exiting. While in the game, the clues were very slow and irrelevant to our experience we have had this far. Our time was wasted waiting for clues. An employee had to come unlock one of the locks for us because we had the right info but the lock was faulty and she said this happens to many people. If this is consistent, the lock should be changed. Again, wasted time. It seems as though it is just young kids running the show and are not placing importance on the experience that should be given after paying over $300. We would not return. read more

My family and I love this love!! We started out with the 80s room and we're able to pass it with less than a minute to spare. Lexie was an amazing game master and we had fun making jokes. Lexie (our game master) told us about their wall and said she things we can do the baseball without any clues. We already had reservations in 2 days for the baseball so we decided no clues no matter what. Fail with no clues or pass with no clues. Lexie was awesome and super nice to my family and I. We passed and did it in ~ 35 minutes. The second game master was impressed and super sweet. I unfortunately cannot remember her name as well. This game master was just as great. The puzzles in both rooms are done very well. They are super unique and catered well to the rooms. You do not need to be a baseball know it all to do that room or know the 80s crazy well. Staff friendliness/helpfulness: 5 out of 5 Production value: 3 out of 5 Puzzle quality: 4 out of 5 Maintenance: 1 out of 5 My wife and I have done about 15 escape rooms in our travels so we aren't experts but we've seen a very wide variety of rooms. Quantum is close to home so we decided to try it out. At the time of writing, there is a choice of a baseball themed room and an 80's themed room. We booked the 80's theme because it seemed more interesting to us. The 80's room is said to be the harder of the two according to Quantum's website. A big shout out to Cameron as he was a great game master and was patient when we needed clues and anticipated our need for hints at the end, helping us to get out with seconds left on the clock. Check-in is very easy, they have a fun video to set the mood (although the audio's pitch is too high...ear piercing haha), and they have lockers for your stuff if you'd like them. The production value is just okay. I don't want to give anything away so I'll just say that in general, it's very basically decorated. It didn't feel like we had stepped into a 80's bedroom, just a room with some 80's stuff in it. I've stepped into rooms where it felt like you had transported to somewhere else (e.g. a haunted victorian home, a pirate ship, a prison, a killer's basement). I did appreciate the 80's music and theme songs playing though. The puzzles are pretty interesting for the most part because they require you to really think and gather your clues and group. There are also only a few traditional combination locks, which is a positive because you aren't just going around the room clicking open locks. There are some very fun mechanics. However, the puzzles' detriment was the next topic... Maintenance. For this, I'm referring to how well the puzzles/decorations have been maintained. A bunch of items were broken or on their last legs. When things are in bad condition, at best it takes you out of the moment and reduces the fun; at worst the puzzle becomes confusing. It was hard to tell if we were doing something incorrectly or if it was the prop not working because some items were in such bad shape. There were items that had clearly taken a beating and needed to be replaced. It was fun but it was also expensive. I appreciate the option for a private room, i.e. not being paired with strangers but $150 for two people is above average cost for escape rooms. Hopefully things will get better at Quantum Escape and I can come back and try a different room. read more

We did the baseball escape room and thought it was fine - nothing too bad but nothing spectacular. The series of puzzles were not in any order. Some of them were fun and challenging which I appreciated. The pay structure is something we didn't like because we had two people and we paid for four spots (minimum). Two advanced players could definitely solve this; a team of four intermediates would be sufficient; anything more and it will feel crowded unless it's a group of kids/teenagers. The room felt nice though and we applaud the decor and how things operated. The venue and location are great. Staff is similar to that of other places - a delight! We think this room should be tweaked a bit though but we have to give them credit since this is a relatively new place. read more

Great rooms + great staff! Good for all levels of experience. The puzzles successfully walk the fine line of 'making ~complete logical sense' (no arbitrary logical leaps) while not being overly contrived or obvious. Lots of very original puzzles, at a nice medium difficulty. Should be fun for both experienced + less experienced teams. 80s - Probably the harder of the two, but not wildly so. Cool theme, original puzzles, and some fun older tech equipment. Our favorite at this location. Major League - A bit more traditional puzzle-wise - better for beginners. Room/theme/story isn't as immersive as 80s. Still very fun! read more

We came here one day and we came with two groups of kids when group 1 went they thought they found a clue a kid tried to grab it and he didn't know it was not a clue because nothing told him it was not like a normal escape room but then he grabbed it with no aggression at all then it broke accidentally even though he didn't try to do anything So group 1 was taken out and the workers made a big fuss with one of the saying mean things to us and we didn't say anything bad at the time or attack them in any way so we asked them for a refund for a group one which they did not give to us, even though we didn't know it wasn't a clue and for some reason, group 2 was kicked out too, and they did not even do a escape room yet and did nothing wrong read more

Such a great experience. I only had heard of the Danville escape room in the past week and no idea how it would stack up against other escape rooms. This was my 6th escape room; we came as a family (including an 8 year old). The location was easy to get to, looked nice on the outside and very clean/new on the inside. The attendant, Cameron, was very friendly, professional and accommodating. We had signed up for the 1980's room and enjoyed the experience so much we stayed and signed up last minute for the baseball room. 1980's is definitely harder than the baseball room, but both required the use of clues; so they were both challenging...in a good way. I would rate Quantum Escape mucher higher than Escape Oakland, and on par with the escape room in SF and Livermore. Don't hesitate to try this out! read more

So close! If we had like 5 more minutes ..Ugh...well, pretty good for a mom and 3 twelve year olds. The kids are totally into the 80/90's "aesthetic" so they chose the room, even though it wasn't the easiest. They had mom in the clutch for any prehistoric pop references. Good thing too because not a dang one of them knew the-- Oops, almost gave a spoiler. None of them knew the words in a pop referenced thing that you need to solve one of the puzzles. Anyway, the staff were great, so kind and excited for the kids to do this (or maybe they are just good at acting excited) lol either way, we had a blast! Will be back for sure! read more

My bestie and I came here and did both rooms they have and they were great! They are working on having more rooms in the future also! In terms of difficulty, Trapped in the 80's was pretty difficult. We have done almost 50 rooms now and it was definitely top 3 hardest we've done. The Major League was easier in general but still had some great puzzles and some difficulty to it. The props were great in both rooms! The 80's room was really awesome, made you feel like you are really in the 80's. We met the manager Christina and talked to her for a little bit as we are escape room enthusiasts and she was very nice and informative. I would definitely recommend coming here and doing their rooms! We will be visiting the Modesto location soon to do the other rooms they have to offer also and are excited! read more

We did the 80s room with 7 kids ages 8-15 and a few adults. Everyone had a great time and the staff was very helpful. It was almost everyone's first escape room and we did not complete it. this is an absolute joke of an escape room. me and my group have been calling since 1:45 and NO ONE ANSWERED, we have called over 15 times. so we decided to just go to the location hoping to talk to someone in person, we show up and the doors are locked and no one is here so we called the other location in Modesto and they said that "no one will show up unless a game has booked" so you're telling me you have no one in the building unless someone books?? how am i supposed to book if no one answers the phone? i understand i can book online and i was planning on doing so but i have a couple questions that i wanted answered before i booked. do not waste your time coming here, this is ridiculous read more

Our session had 4 players and was covered by the company Having done 60+ escape rooms my fiance and I along with two friends were invited to play Major League, below is my review on the room and company. ----------- "Major League" was Quatum Escape's first room and is a strong indicator of the quality of the room and staff which as I can see is a great first impression. Going into the nitty gritty of the actual experience, "Major League" is your classic "break into X location to steal Y" type of story that we've seen quiet often. However the little extra pizazz that's thrown into this classic heist formula is large amount of baseball theming being put on display here. Stepping inside "Major Leagues" feels like walking into a TGI Fridays or Playmakers, jerseys, trophies and other pieces of sports memorabilia hang on brick walls, paired with hardwood floors where the only thing was missing was a bucket of chicken wings and a tall fizzy drink. Speaking with the puzzle designer and staff you can tell there is a genuine love for the game. I love me some themes that allow the companies to show their unique voices as opposed to just chasing trends. A brief warning to those looking to play (if you can call it a warning) Major League is DENSE with puzzles and when it comes to your brain work you will get your money's worth. There is a real nice blend of tech and interacting with physical comments outside of standard combination locks. All in all I see Quantum Escape as a welcome addition to the Danville area as there is a real shortage of rooms north of San Jose. The staff is already giddy with excitement with their upcoming rooms and their enthusiasm is infectious. A brief word on the current pricing model. A lot of the rates at the moment were developed pre COVID. At the moment staff is working on a new pricing model to fit with the mandatory private games and thus the pricing will change. read more

Fun escape room! Our group of 6 had a okay amount of experience coming in to the room (everyone had done at least 3), and we had a blast. The 80s room was on the harder side, but we still managed to finish with a quarter of the time left. There were some pretty cool puzzles that were satisfying to solve. read more

With the pandemic making it hard to find an open room, a group of 7 of us found this place and decided to take a crack at the 80's themed room. Our group's experience was varied, with a few of us that have done 20+ and a couple newbies. We definitely enjoyed the room and it was very well decorated. It felt like we entered a time capsule into the 80's with the awesome set design. I don't know if we all had an off day or some of the hints we got from the moderator were a little obscure, but we definitely had a tough time with this room. Since the room was rather new and some of the puzzles were quite challenging, trying to complete it within 60 minutes proved to be difficult. The rating for this room on their website was a 4/5 on difficulty, but this one was definitely a 5/5 difficulty. The biggest complaint from the group was the lack of air conditioning in the room, it was quite stuffy. I would recommend it if you want a good challenge! read more

Our family of 7 had a blast at Quantum Escapes, we attempted and successfully escaped Major League. We've played a handful of rooms and really enjoyed this one. We weren't sure how good we'd be so we opted for this room rather than the 5 star difficulty 80's room. We got to speak with one of the owners, great to hear their love and passion for creating a unique experience for each room. There is also a location in Modesto which we have visited as well. Great customer service, great family or group gathering, great rooms! We will definitely be back to try the 80's room to test our skills. read more

Quantum Escapes, indeed. We were looking for a solid, away from home activity for my oldest's birthday. What a treat Quantum Escapes turned out to be. Turns out we had been desperately needing an escape from our staid schedules and we didn't realize how much. After what feels like an eternity of the 2020's and being stuck at home, Quantum Escape helped us escape our troubles and worries and just enjoy ourselves. Can I say that we rocked that room (Major League)? Um, no. Total newbies. But what fun we had, even if we looked like deer in the headlight for a good ten minutes of it. Our Game Master was beyond gracious and, to boot, has an incredible, rich history to accompany our Escape room that we were fascinated and delighted to learn about. She couldn't have known, but we had in been near full isolation during these strange times, so it was a big deal for us to cross our threshold of no exposure to possible exposure for this outing. The premises were spotless, their disinfecting procedure reassuring, and sanitizer strategically placed. She was so helpful throughout and provided the clearest of instructions. They have definitely kept up with the times, enough to keep this infection control paranoid family comfortable and contemplating our next booking. We left Quantum Escapes, comparing puzzle-solving thought processes, laughing, spirits lifted, birthday happily celebrated. We wish them very well and are looking forward to future Quantum Escapes. read more
