I hired Quality Pool Service to come resuscitate a green pool I inherited. I talked to the owner, who was super friendly and responsive. He gave me a price and had his assistant call to set things up. Things seemed good. A person did come out on Memorial Day to get the pool draining - so that was good. The assistant emailed me a quote to approve that was a lot more than the owner quoted me. (He quoted me around $800. Side Note - I felt that was high also, but the owner shared what they would do - clean, clean the housing, replace the filters, and get it all balanced. It felt like they would really put a lot of effort and care into this, and, I needed it done so I gave the go.) When I asked the assistant about this, she said, "well, he didn't know what you had." I moved forward as I needed to do something. I asked, in email, if the inside of the filter housing would be cleaned - and she said yes. The gentleman came out. Very nice guy, but, it quickly became obvious that there was a major communication barrier. I asked if he was going to clean the inside of the filter housing. He said "Yes I'm going to change the filters." I tried to ask in different ways with no success. I gave up; and just watched. He only changed the filters. No rinse and certainly no chemicals. I immediately emailed the assistant again (the only way to talk with this company - they never answer the phone) - and she emailed back and said "oh, no, we don't do that." The gentleman started cleaning the pool. No power washing. No scrubbing. Just acid down the side and then trickled the garden hose after. He spent maybe a total of three working hours at my house. Maybe. And he was gone. During all this I was emailing insisting the owner or a supervisor come out, but I got emails back saying "the supervisor is too busy covering his route." Yes, another guy came back two days later after I had to put the hose in the pool to fill it (The three hour guy did not do that - again - communication barrier). I barely saw him on camera (He was here about twenty minutes) and never saw what he did, but he supposedly put chemicals in and "balanced things." A day and a half later my son said "dad, you know there are no tabs in the floater, right?" I would have thought they would do that! It makes me wonder what "the return guy" really did? So, for three hours and twenty minutes of work, yes, the pool was not green. Yes, they came on "Memorial Day" (but the assistant said "we have guys who want to work," She made it clear that this wasn't a "special favor.") and yes, I did get my filters changed. I was charged $1,100. Later, without me asking, they did reduce the bill to $978. Still feels really steep. With reliving all of this, I want to reduce my review to "1 Star," but I did get a clean, no longer green pool." So, 2 it is. My personal recommendation is you steer clear of this company. There are PLENTY of better alternatives. read more

I am surprised that this company has some good reviews. They cleaned our pool for several years. In general, their knowledge of a Saltwater System was subpar (even when they installed). The weekly cleaning technicians changed constantly and always dumped chemicals in the pool with little to no explanation. The final straw was a technician broke the backwash handle valve of my pool - therefore the backwash could not be turned off. It took me several attempts to get customer service to respond. There was not a since of urgency to fix. Even after I voiced my frustration and cancel weekly service they continue to invoice me for the issue although it was their fault. Sadly, this company has no accountability, subpar cleaning service and bad customer service. read more

I wish I had gotten our technicians name, he was SO Knowledgeable, So Friendly and Honest! He grew up in Gilbert so he new a lot about the area itself and the environmental factors. Seriously, he went above and beyond! (That man deserves a raise! Ha!) We do our pool maintenance but needed help with a repair. They didn't try and sell us on anything extra or pressure us into switching our maintenance to them. Everything from dealing with Cathy and the office girls to the repair itself went very smoothly and they were all more than helpful. We will absolutely be using them again! read more

We have used this company for over 1 year. When the weather is nice we didn't have any problems but as soon as it warmed up we had issues with the pool machine cavitation. We paid over $1000 in pool repairs, new grids, cleaning filter, air release valve replacement and backwash valve and handle replacement. We had a new company come this morning, Quality pool worked on everything past the intake. The air issue was happening before the intake basket. The O ring had not been lubricated, they are doing a $20 replacement of another O ring and he adjusted the RPM. It's running great now. After 5 months and a lot of money, we are glad to drop Quality pools. Same price for a more competent company with Platinum Pool care. read more

Very reliable and honest company. Not sure who our technician is today ,but he replaced our pool pump and they are great. Great communication. Pool pump has a three year warranty. We also work with them for pool maintenance and every week they have a report of what is done and they attach a photo of our pool when being serviced. read more

We had our pool built by Rustin and his team last September. Rustin did a great job helping us with design. He made great suggestions without trying to upsell us on things we didn't want. His crew completed our pool in less than 90 days which was amazing. The construction process was seamless. Since construction we have been using the weekly pool service and have not had any issues with the chemicals or clarity. We recently added a heater to our pool to extend our swim season. Again Rustin did a great job providing us with information and a solid plan. Within a week we had our pool up to 90 degrees and have been enjoying it ever since. We have used this pool service for a few years now and loved the pool tech and cleaners. However, we are getting our pool redone and I went to their showroom and the office manager and secretary did not have masks on, did not have masks with them, and refused to put any on when i said I was not comfortable with them not wearing any. The office manager acted like I was being crazy for asking and said I could make my pool selections alone in a separate room. Any company not willing to go out of their way to make customers feel safe during a global pandemic is not responsible, educated, or following health guidelines. Beware! Do NOT use quality pool service. The owner runs a terrible business and is dishonest. The work they "subcontract" to get done is not up to standard and they have terrible customer service. You will regret hiring them to do any work on your pool. We used them for weekly pool service for years and they did a good/ fair job. When we redid our backyard we hired them to do some of the work and it was a terrible experience! He was unresponsive for weeks which should of been a clue. He sent people over to do the work that couldn't even speak English so there was no communication. Weeks later we received an outrageous bill with no proof of work completed. Ultimately we had to hire another company to come in and do the work Quality Pools should of done. He harassed and threatened me for payment so I ended up paying him for a job not done. We had Quality Pool Service cleaning our large diving pool since we bought our home 3 years ago. They were hired by the previous owners and the pool looked amazing when we moved in so we decided to keep them. The low star rating is not due to our pool being unclean because on the contrary, our pool looked fabulous the past three years as long as all of our equipment was working properly. The low rating is for service and communication. Over the three years of service, we probably had four or five different pool cleaners. One was fabulous, friendly, and kept us in the know about our pool system anytime something needed to be tended to. The others have been angry and uncomfortable to have on our property. Over a year ago, I came home several times in the afternoon to find one of our dogs locked in the dog run on the side of the house where she had no water accessible to her. We normally let our dogs have free range of the yard when the weather is nice, so finding her locked on the side of the house only on pool cleaning day told me that our pool guy was was putting her in there. I reached out to the company and the cleaner confessed to doing this (yes, our female dog is a watch dog, but she is all bark and no bite) because her barks were annoying him. They reassigned us a different cleaner. Another cleaner let our pool go completely green, we reached out to the company with our complaint, and only then did he tell us our pump needed to be serviced. We scheduled the service and the technician was missing a piece he needed to finish the job, forgot to turn the pump off, and we woke up to a foot of water drained from the pool and a flooded backyard. The company took responsibility for this and fixed the issue quickly. The last straw for us was this past week. We have had a different pool guy for the past four or five weeks. My husband started to notice that every time he came to clean he looked frustrated, would throw his arms around dramatically, and was cursing to himself loudly. My husband approached him and asked if everything was okay. The pool cleaner did not hide his anger, told my husband he hates cleaning our pool because it's big and there is always leaves in it because of the trees in our backyard. My husband simply responded "yes, that's why we hire your company, to clean the leaves out of the pool." The following week he was showing the same behaviors. Loudly cursing, dramatically throwing his arms in the air, and throwing his cleaning equipment and chemical containers around our backyard. I also witnessed him dumping leaves in the corners of our backyard and leaving them there instead of disposing of them in a trash can. Three strikes and you're out. Your backyard is an extension of your home and you deserve to feel safe with every person you invite in, which we did not with this company. read more

I gave this company multiple chances before I finally had to hire someone else. They billed me 105.00 the day before I canceled, I asked them for a refund as they would not be completing the next three weeks of service...nope, they say 30 day cancellation or no refund for services that haven't been rendered. Kathy said, " we can complete the next three weeks". I didn't want them to come out knowing I wasn't retaining them and doing a crappy job which is what I had been getting! The reason I needed someone out was my pool was turning green due to lack of them not brushing which I had complained about previous. It was Wednesday when I called and was told nobody could come out until Friday. Kathy said I could take a water sample to Leslie Pool and get it tested, then call her back and then they would know what chemicals to bring on Friday! Why would I have to do that if I'm paying them for service??? I ended up paying 85.00 for another company to come out and clear up the pool. I was told there was algae growing from lack of brushing, my PH was very, very high, my pool was not back washed regularly as it should to prevent filter damage and no tabs in the floater...again. And they refuse to refund 105.00 dollars..zero customer service. Here is the email I sent to the owners and guess what...no response !!!! I even called 2 days after I sent it to ensure they received it..yep. they did and I was told, " someone will get back to you". That was Sep 13 th....crickets. Here is my email I sent them... Today I called to advise my pool was turning green and needed someone to come out asap and address. I was told there is nobody in that service area until Friday. I didn't want to wait until Friday as it was getting worse as the day went on. Kathy said, " maybe someone could come tomorrow if they are available" but no guarantee.  I have reported issues with Ethan not brushing, backwashing ( last backwash  was in June) and checking off the box but not putting tabs in floater. As the previous email shows.  I have also asked repeatedly for a new water level PVC float as it's been leaking..its still leaking and was 100.00 ! I had to pay someone 85.00 to come out and correct the pool today since you couldn't respond.  I called Kathy to let her know I'll no longer be needing your services and I wish to cancel and get refunded as I was billed yesterday. She said no refunds without a 30 day notice.  I'm requesting an exception be made due to the issues I have experienced. I will be happy to go on all Social Media and leave positive reviews that your company made it right without going into negative details of my decision to leave your service.  I do not wish to finish out the next three weeks and hope you can accommodate this request.  Please advise... read more

They replastered our first pool & were honest with what actually needed to be done, when the other 4 places I got quotes from tried to make me feel like we had to have a bunch of add-ons that weren't necessary. We were purchasing a home with a pool and never owning a pool before we hired Quality Pool Service for $95.00 to come out and inspect the pool as part of our home inspection. Here is Quality Pool Service's report ... Date: April 27, 2017 To Whom it May Concern, After final inspection of the pool on Tuesday April 25th, we have put together our findings for the location notes (sic) above. There are no current leaks at the equipment area. There is evidence of previous leaks on both the filter and the motor. No attention needed for this. All the equipment is properly bonded. There is an operational Hayward T-9 salt cell on this pool that is producing chlorine. The Hayward Navigator pool cleaner is operational. There is no pool light installed in this pool. The pool has an interior pebble finish. The finish is in good condition. The decking overall is in good condition. The acrylic painted surface is flacking (sic) off on the cantilever edge that rolls into the pool. This is cosmetic and can be repainted. There are a few surface cracks. This is not causing damage to the deck. There is a small spot above the skimmer where the decking has fallen off. This can be fixed at the same time the other decking items are addressed. This is not causing any operational issues. We also offer full service pool cleaning... Rustin Genet - President, Quality Pool Service, Inc. One month later on May 26th, Rustin came to our house for the first cleaning and to show us how to use the equipment. At that time he told us: 1) The pool has black algae and in order to get rid of it the pool needs to be drained, the algae treated, and the pool refilled. 2) The salt levels in the pool are twice what they should be and are so high that the equipment that monitors the salt level is not able to measure it. Also, we have noticed that when we manually turn the pump on and off that it leaks so badly that it soaks our pants. When we reminded him that he had just done an inspection on our pool and none of these items were in the inspection Rustin's reply was, "I did?" I called the office to try and see if anything could be done and they were very defensive and not helpful. Now, being a month later we have no financial recourse with the old owner, we must pay out of pocket to have these issues taken care of, and we have paid $95.00 for a useless inspection. read more

"Quality" should never be a part of this company's name. The problems I have had with them have been numerous. I did end up with a service Tech that I really liked, and that was doing a great job, but apparently because of "route changes" he can no longer be my tech. I was then assigned a guy that was on my property to service my pool for 6 minutes one week, then 7 minutes the next. That is hardly enough time to properly clean/maintain my pool. In addition to that, he left the gate open to the pool equipment and my dog got back there and ate rodenticide. That nearly killed my dog and cost me almost $500 at the vet. When I called and emailed to notify them of these issues, I was ignored. No return call, no response. I have given this company so many chances. They parked on my yard, breaking parts of my irrigation system, left my pump running continuously for over 2 weeks, failed to clean my chlorinator when it needed it, broke parts off my pump plumbing and did a poor job fixing it, failed to show up two weeks in a row, and the list goes on and on. Now, to not even get a call back after the most recent issues just adds to it all. I know they do have one tech that does a good job, but the management and every other tech is pure and utter garbage. read more

Call them to dispute it, they pretty much said sorry, we don't offer bi-weekly service in the Summer. Well, not what I signed up for, they pretty much didn't care, I cancelled service IMMEDIATELY in which they didn't care either.... I never received ANY email or interaction that my pool was taken care of, as well as none of my tenants seeing them there on the days they said... Now 3 months later, still getting bills. Called to tell them I wasn't paying the bills that I DID NOT agree too. THEN...on top of ALL OF THIS...they tried to charge me a LATE FEE on my bills... ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME?!? We started using Quality Pool Service when we bought our house 9 months ago. They were the pool service the previous owners were using, and had installed the pool equipment so we thought it would be a good idea since they were familiar with the pool. First couple of months were ok, but we soon learned that they do not have the staff to cover the amount of customers they service. Billy is their only good tech and does great work. We've had the weekly service for 9 months and my pool has been green all summer. Also, they do not honor their 'green pool guarantee' which is stated on their website. Finally called 3 other pool companies and they all told me the same thing - the pump we have is not strong enough for our pool. Why couldn't have Quality Pool Service told us this while they were servicing our pool every week?!? We own multiple properties with pools throughout the valley and use different pool services based on the location. My advice - stay away from Quality Pool Service, it will save you money, and more importantly, time. read more

We have been using this company for almost a year. If you want a business with zero customer service then use "quality" pool service. The first issue we had our street unexpectedly was closed the day our pool was to be serviced, so they did not clean it. When I asked if they were going to come out again that week I was told I would have to pay a reschedule fee, even though you pay for 4 cleanings a month. I asked for a credit then for the cleaning I did not receive and was told no. The next problem we had the bottom of our gate was latched, there was no lock on it, and it is clean that you can stick your hand through the gate to unlatch it. So they did not clean the pool, I have a video that shows he didn't even attempt to try to unlatch it, just took a picture and left. That was on Friday, so called them 2x with no answer, and on the message it said for "faster" response time to email them. I sent an email around 3 asking them to reschedule to the next day, Saturday, with a video of how easy and brainless it is to unlatch the bottom of the gate. I have had zero response from the company. I am cancelling my services with them and will not recommend them to any more friends. Very disappointed. read more

Take notice of the one star reviews here. There is a reason. My experience was with the "pool water clarification system". From the outset this experience was poor. The service was for a second property and I asked to be contacted before anyone goes out, and every time since then they've shown up with no warning. Five hours into the service, their generator blew out because of the heat. That's understandable, but when we call the technician to let him know, HE asked that we close off a valve inside their trailer and shut the trailer door. He showed up the next day unannounced at 6:00AM to tear down the system, saying the chemicals checked out. I've asked for a printout of the readings and have not received them. Fortunately someone in the house woke up when he was back there and called me. By the time I showed up around 6:45, most of the tear down was complete and the guy told me to talk to the owner, and pretty much clammed up and high tailed it out. The pool has been cloudy ever since. They did send out a service manager once to add chemicals, but since then the water is still cloudy, and the owner has forgotten who I am. read more

This is a difficult review to write as my wife and I are very pleased with the re plaster, tile repair job they did to our pool in April of 2018. What I am not pleased with is that whenever you call into the office, you get a recording and have to leave a message. Then it is 1-2 days later when you get a response. Quality Pools have set up a total of 4 different appointments with us where crews/repair people simply did not show up when scheduled. They never called, emailed or texted me saying they were delayed and they were going to have to re schedule. It required me to call/email into the office, wait for a response, another appointment set up where they wouldn't show up with no call, no email, no text. This happened on 4 separate occasions. I finally heard from the President, Rustin Genet who said it "wasn't fair" that I hadn't paid my bill when the vast majority of the work was done. I told him he would get complete payment on the same day that the job was complete. He told me his plaster repair person would be there on Friday and yep...you guessed it...no show with no call, text or email. The excuse I get is that there are construction delays in any project and I should be prepared for that. When I told him that my son-in-law is a project manager for Pulte Homes and when his subs are delayed, they always call the homeowner and advise them what is going on, apologize and re schedule. It's only polite and respectful and lets the customer know that you are important and value their time. That, apparently, is a foreign concept to Quality Pools. Never once has anyone from Quality Pools apologized for setting appointments and then simply not showing up. It is rude and disrespectful and apparently Rustin doesn't get that. It has been my responsibility, the customer, to call into the office to try and find out what is going on and try to get them to re schedule. Rustin does not seem to care that his customers are inconvenienced, apparently we should all be flexible, respectful and considerate of his schedule. The only conclusion that can be drawn is they do not care even a little bit about their customers or customer service. As I stated, we are satisfied with the work preformed, our pool looks very nice, but getting them to complete the work was like pulling teeth. Based upon my experience, if I would have paid the bill when asked and trusted them to complete the job, they would have ignored me and my pool would have never been completed. I would definitely not pay them anymore than 50% down and don't make final payment until the job is completely done no matter how unfair Rustin thinks that is. I am convinced that if I didn't owe them about 50%, they would not be out here right now, hopefully, finishing up. The minor work that Rustin said was left has required 2 of their workmen to drain our spa and they have been out here over an hour with no end in sight. Don't believe anything Rustin says and don't make complete payment until the job is complete. Buyer beware! P.S. The pool is done and, as I promised, final and complete payment was made the day the job was complete. Some people keep their commitments! read more

We represented a buyer in a residential transaction where Quality Pool Service did a pool inspection. The report was clean but after closing, Quality Pool Service came out to begin a cleaning service and told the buyers that the pool and the equipment needed a lot of work. None of these items were mentioned on the report prior to closing and when confronted, the office was defensive and told my clients that they just did what the real estate agent asked. When I called the office, they denied having said that to my client. The reason we do inspections is to know exactly what is wrong with the pool prior to close so we can ask for necessary repairs from the seller. Without the correct information before closing and the fact that the office was not honest with me or my client after the fact has put my client in a bad position. I would not recommend this company for pool inspections and feel they lack integrity. read more

There are many pool service and repair company's out there but Quality pool is true to it's name. My pump went out on a Sat morning with temp in the 115, so I'm frantic. I called Quality on Monday morning they showed up Monday afternoon with all the parts and in 30 minutes had me up and running. Best part was still under warranty as they did the original installation so No Charge. I strongly recommend them should you need fast and quality work done. read more
