My family and I have been patients of Dr. Rickey and Dr. Wong for over 10 years. We have never had a problem with them and their work. We have gone to another dentist once in Livermore and the fillings she did came out shortly after. I have fillings from over 6 years ago from Dr. Rickey and they haven't moved at all. The staff here is incredible! All the ladies are very sweet! Jeanie is my favorite dental assistant, although all the ladies are great! I started going to Quality Dentists over ten years ago. I've seen Dr. Rickey and Dr. Wong at both locations. They both have provided me with excellent care and they are the best in town. I've seen several hygienists and they are all fantastic! I use to have a fear of needles but now I'm excited to go to the dentist! Im NEVER comming back to the Dale rd location . EVERY time My husband or I have a apt and arrive to it we are the last to be called and we have an average of 30 mins after our apt time called in to be seen . It doesnt matter if we came in on time , 15 min before , or even 30 mins before , EVERY time without fail we are called in at least 30 mins after our scheduled time , in the meantime other patients that come in for apts AFTER us go in BEFORE us!!! Multiple people , not just 1 but at least 2-3 people! Thats the main issue . Other issues include 1- after numbing my husbands tooth for a cavity they took so long to come back that his numbness almost wore off 2- on that same cavity they did it incorrectly and the filling CRACKED and we had to get it redone 3- they send bills to my house before billing the insurance which in turn i have to double check and make sure that the bill is paid by the insurance and not on my account . Im giving their tully office a chance , which seems hopefull. I just needed to leave this review due to having to cancel my apt today due to waiting 30 mins after my apt time (with 2 others comming in after and being called in before me , as always) i was just too frustrated to deal with these people anymore . Had an appt at this office this morning for my 7 year old son and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised with our experience there. The staff and doctors were amazing with my son and calmed his nerves so efficiently. It was as if he was amongst friends. I called Quality Dentistry after getting their phone number from my dental insurance provider list. I spoke with Kayla over the phone, she was very pleasant and accommodated my need to get in to see a dentist ASAP due to the intense pain I was feeling. She also informed me that I could save some time by going on line and filling out the new patient forms instead of waiting to find in to the office! (great idea!) I came in about 10 minutes early, as suggested and was tested with a nice warm smile and kindness. Kayla identified herself as the person I spoke to over the phone and got me signed in right away. I noticed that the waiting room /office looked nice and was very clean. About 5 minutes later Kendra came me back and took me into get some x-rays done. She was very nice, and eased any anxiety I had about being at the dentist. We talked about my career and children and she listened to everything I had to say about the issue that brought me in. After x-rays she got me settled in my "room" (no door, which didn't bother me at all) and brought the dentist in a short while after. Dr. Rickey an older gentleman was great, he explained what he thought was wrong and gave me options, he was professional but not uptight at all. He also left me know I was in control of my pain and if I felt any discomfort at all to let him know. The entire staff that I interacted with was really great and I would recommend anyone give them a chance. Unfortunately I had an impacted wisdom tooth and Dr. Rickey didn't do the surgery to remove it but did refer me to an oral surgeon that they work with. I'm going to switch my children from the dentist they have to this office after a few more visits just so I can see how things go a few more times, but so far I like this office and they are living to go their name. read more

I absolutely love this office I used to hate going to the dentist and now I want to get more work done Dr Rickey is so caring about his patients he makes sure we get token care of I always go in at 8am and they make sure to get me out fast since I have work they go out of there way! Went into have what I thought was going to be over $1500 in work on my teeth a new crown and a filling doctor said I did not need a root canal on my molar and told me the tooth I was told by another dentist needed to be pulled dr Ricky told me don't touch it it's not bothering you it could last you many more years it was a major lower molar he says in fact I'm not even going to numb you when I give you the filling I was nervous but it went so so smoothly lol the molar he did the filling on a month prior I went to my in network dentist and they wanted to pull this tooth and give me a root canal and bunch of other things $2800 I got second opinion same thing but cost $5800 I go see dr Ricky who I went to years back when my kids were little I went to see him for one more opinion and walked out of his office with only a cleaning and a small filling and the best professional opinion he had to give me ......he could have easily done what the other dentists did but he was very caring and honest opinion..... oh and buy the way his office is gorgeous he does not need my money but as I was saying I walked out thinking I was gonna pay $1500 only paid $300 or so can't remember but he and staff awesome ! Don't be fooled by the office decor. I had my routine dental cleaning for the past few years. Every time they asked me to pay something out of pocket for xrays, etc. I had my suspicion but i thought my insurance doesn't cover it. I was wrong. The place overcharged the insurance and also try to squeeze some money from the insured patients. Last year I had a normal routine cleaning and Dr. Wong told me I had very small cavity that is superficial. I let them fix and did the filling. Few days afterward I started having severe pain in the tooth. My gums were irritated and swollen and my face was half swollen. The pain was stabbing and waking me up at night. I went back a week later and they told me oh, you need a root canal. I was furious because I didn't had any problem on that tooth until they did the drilling and fillings. Instead of apologizing, the doctor pressured me to do the root canal that same day. I declined and insisted a second opinion. When I went to another dentist, he looked at the film and stated the cavity was very superficial and wasn't deep. He suggested that sometimes during the drilling and filling procedure, if one is not careful, the root canal may be damaged. Not only do I need a root canal but I also has a dental abscess at that site which requires drainage and antibiotic treatment. I was furious to say the least! Dr. Wong's office should not try to cover up their mistake and try to get more money from me for root canal procedure. If they were honest and admit their fault, I can accept that because dentists are human. The fact that he is greedy and dishonest and be so unprofessional about the whole incident make me angry. DON'T EVER GO THERE! With the new dentist, I found out I do have great dental coverage. I should not have to pay anything for routine dental cleaning. My insurance even covered my root canal procedure. Now one has to wonder why Dr. Wong asked patients to pay more money if they are covered by insurance. Again GREED is the answer! read more

I have been going to this office last few years. Service that I have received was fair but Now I feel that it is getting worse. Newly graduated associate doctors and foreign trained dentist came along and treatment that I received became inconsistent and quality became an issue. The office is only care about money, I have good dental insurance plan but somehow I always end up receiving bills for something. When an office starts smelling like a chain store, I'd better look for a real dedicated dentist. read more

I will never ever recommend this dentistry. I had several horrible experiences at this place. The first time i got my filling done, the dentist was flirting with his assistant while working on my teeth. He wasn't focused enough to get rid of the excess filling, so I was getting food stuck in between the filling. I could feel the excess filling with my tongue, and I know fillings aren't suppose to do that. They "tried" to fix the problem, but they were too lazy to get all the excess filling the second time. I had to go back a third time to get the excess filling done and when I tried to explain that to some of the employees, they gave me the worst attitude and tried to blame me for the problem. The third attempt on fixing the filling, Dr. Ricky said it was an dead tooth and I needed a root canal. It wasn't dead when I got my filling done at the beginning. They had to do a root canal on my infected tooth. Dr. Ricky had to perform 3 root canals (which cost out of pocket $1000) and he couldn't make it "pretty" enough, so he told me to go to a specialist (which my insurance won't cover and the specialist cost double than the root canal). My husband had a bad experience too. Plus they charge a lot more than other dentistry. They only think about money in their pocket. My friend told me to go to Gotta Smile in Stockton because they have a specialist at the dentistry with no additional charges. I only had to pay $500 instead of $1000 or $2000. read more

Very Upset with their Billing & Customer Service Practices for Dr. Rickey Grant. & Wesley Wong in Modesto Office. They lied & charged me more than necessary for my Dental Work. I called my Insurance Provider afterwards to confirm my Dental Plan & they explained all my Dental work is covered in Full & I shouldn't have to pay anything out of Pocket for this particular service. Unfortunately Rickey & Wong, DDS was trying to rob both me & my Dental Insurance Provider. When I confronted the Billing Receptionist to explain what had happened, she was supposed to call me back & explain how that error happened & why they were charging me. They never called me back to resolve & explain why they were double charging me. I lost "All trust in this Dental Office, I will Never Return Again!" To me Honesty & Health is very important. Now I don't believe if these people are truly sincere in treating their patients or if their just trying to make an extra buck. If they don't change their bad Business practices enough people will catch on to them & they will eventually close down. I would advise to Please call your Insurance Provider before making any payment to this Company, just to make sure your not overpaying them & being cheated on. Sadly I really liked some of the people here, including both Dentist, but unfortunately one bad apple spoils the whole basket! Confused if I should leave 1 star or 2! read more

My family has been patients of Dr. Grant Rickey since 2000 when my daughter was on 4 years old, she is now in college and she stills drives from Sacramento to Modesto to see Dr. Rickey. Dr. Rickey is personable and genuinely easy to approach. He does what's best for the patient rather than what's going to get him more money. He has taken care of our dental needs and orthodontic needs for my 5 children for the past 16 years. I happily recommend his office anytime his staff is excellent and again not robots but very down to earth and personable. We chose to see Dr. Rickey he is familiar but over time we have seen the other dentist in his office all of which carry on his "family first" philosophy. You can't make a better choice for you children or yourself. The added bonus of dental care and orthodontics in one office is a huge benefit one stop shopping so to speak and with my crazy schedule it suits me very well. read more
