Open all year! Because ice cream treats are always in season!…read more This is a real old-style ice cream *parlor*, not just an ice cream cone walk-up counter. Sit inside or outside (depending on weather) if you wish. Ambience is bright, casual fun outing. A local artist draws seasonal pictures on the large wall chalkboard, the opposite wall is hung with framed pages from vintage Mason newspapers that also change with the season. They have soft-serve as well as hand-dip. Classic ice cream flavors are usually in stock, others are seasonal and rotate availability. Most of the ice creams are made by quality regional producers. Some are made in-house, and they are delicious! Their house-made butter pecan is excellent, better than commercial versions. They make shakes, sundaes, malts, floats, razzles - also grilled cheese sandwiches. Daily Scoop also offers house-made dairy-free sorbets, so there is some treat choice for everyone. On the counter next to where you order there is a display with models of ice cream serving sizes so you can see what size is best for your young child as well as your adults. The reviewer below who complained about serving sizes did not pay attention to these size models. If you have questions, just ask. The staff is cheerful, welcoming, and helpful to everyone. And of course, there is free street parking in downtown Mason.

We decided to get ice cream in Mason, Michigan. I ordered a double dip in a waffle cone and my wife ordered a single scoop in a cup. When we received our purchase I was taken aback by the small amount of product in both purchases. While I was encouraging my wife to order more, we were interrupted by someone who claimed I was insulting his business. I replied that I had never been served such a small serving in my travels around Michigan. (Note: We estimate an individual scoop is around 1/4 cup.) The picture is the cup for 1 scoop and ours were only 1/2 full.

They have a wide variety of options like milkshakes, malts, soft serve and even some non dairy options as well as hot food! Haven't had a single bad thing from them yet and they're always super friendly and efficient! Walking around near the Ingham Country Fairgrounds this summer? Stop by for a treat!

This place has very reasonable prices and a huge selection to choose from. I have since moved away however whenever I am back in town it's a must stop. They are seasonal and only open Memorial Day through Labor Day. This place is everyone friendly even pets! I used to take my Rottweiler there every time we went for a walk and she would patiently wait for her cone to come out, once it did it did not last long. The staff has always been very friendly and helpful. The food that they serve has also been really good and again at a fair price when everyone else has raised prices. They have seating on the sides of the business and there's room to park all around the business. This is a Mason Michigan Staple, if you're ever passing through you have to stop in and get some ice cream. Yes I am bias but this is the best ice cream you will find, I love the Dairy Hill and will always go there when ever I am in town! Thank You Dairy hill for 40 plus years of my life for the best ice cream around!

It's so bad I wish I could give it a zero but I cannot so I'm giving it a one. The woman with a…read moreshort black hair in botched ass make up was incredibly rude to me and my daughters. The first time we went up and asked the people to exchange our cards for tickets like the table says by the arcade. She said in coherent words and kept on saying go see arcade go see arcade. Then we went up a second time and there was a guy there. He said he would send somebody down and we waited 10 minutes and nobody was down there. The third time we went up we were exhausted, but we're still asking nicely for somebody to come down to exchange our cards for tickets. The one was incredibly rude and brushed us off, saying go ahead. Go ahead and leave. Everybody who is hired here was incredibly rude and had no customer service whatsoever. Then he ignored my other daughter and went back to the counter without saying a word. And when my daughter asked for a non-crumpled five dollar bill she said incredibly rude things. "Girl we don't straighten our bills leave I had to go tend to your group anyway." Then she left. Her teeth are crooked and her makeup is patchy. She was also wearing Nike blazers that were disgusting just like her teeth. Big thumbs down that was awful and my daughter cried because she was being so disrespectful. She needs to be fired. If you don't like kids, don't work at a roller rink ment for kids please.

Some stores have better deals on particular items than others and this one is no exception. Aside from the prices, the food options aren't bad but as far as fresh food goes, it's not always the most fresh, especially in the meat department or vegetables. As far as service goes, the people you have to interact with like the cashiers or attendants are great, can be slow a times but mostly do great work. It's the stockers I'm not sure about, leaving boxes of frozen food to be put out an hour or two after it's been in room temperature. Just be careful what you eat from here sometimes. As far as the atmosphere, it's usually very clean and organized so I can't complain much there, carts are usually stocked up well too. One thing I don't understand is why it seems they are closing the 'Home' side of the store's doors earlier and earlier? I don't know, a bit of a pain but not the end of the world. At the end of the day, if you don't want to leave Mason for your groceries and want to be able to use digital coupons or coupons in general, this is what we got haha.
