Gosh, I didn't know what I was missing. This is a true IYKYK! Once you have visited Horrocks, you will return for life. This is a magnificent, rustic, unique, expansive establishment that offers a cornucopia of items. From floral, to meats, cheeses, wine, speciality items, fruits, snacks, vegetables, hard-to-find items and more. There is so much more! Things that stood out even though I loved everything about this place: -the vast selection of canisters of olive oils -the vast array of different varieties of balsamic vinegars (amazing!) -house made items in every area -house made popcorn with so many flavors, so fresh. -the many, many homemade soups: probably around 20 different kinds and delicious. -a ramen bar, what? -bakery -pizzeria -exotic fruits and vegetables and regulars ones too -the wine bar: sip while you shop. -house-made sausages and cheeses -house-made jams, jellies, local honey -extensive variety of spices, herbs, flour and grains - great service, very helpful. Fruits, vegetables, soup bar, cheese galore, huge candy bar with Michigan fudge... Lots of frozen meats and vegetable packs, a chilled dairy room, fresh sausages. Oh, the COFFEE and the OIL section?! Yes, you can taste the different oil flavors. And you can and will find the coffee that suits any taste. I make a 1.5 hour drive to go here every now and then, and it's always worth it. Bring reusable bags to keep your frozen food cold. And don't step in the plant section unless you want to come home with some flowers or a pretty plant, it's too tempting! I'm not saying anymore. I made a gift of some to friends who live out of the area and am often asked if I could pick some up for them when planning a visit.
