I needed a mailbox installed and had tried for 3 months to schedule various handyman recommended by neighbors. I finally took things into my own hands and searched for a reputable and highly rated handyman on Yelp. There were several options to choose from, but I was immediately drawn to Brian's business because it is locally owned and operated by him. Plus, I really liked his bio. I could tell he was someone who enjoyed his work and was focused on high quality outcomes for customer projects. Brian did not disappoint. Every step of the process was a good one. My first point of contact was through Yelp messaging. That's when I first knew I was on the right track because Brian promptly replied. Moreover, his communication skills were excellent from the get-go. He was able to fit me into his schedule a few days after my request. He arrived on time prepared with what he needed to do the job. Everything went smoothly, especially because Brian and I had reviewed the installation instructions through photos I attached to our Yelp messages. He was able to acquire the remaining needed materials that I did not have on hand. Brian clearly knew what he was doing and got the mailbox installed without any problems. He charged a reasonable amount and was a pleasure to work with. I had a great customer experience. I already have other projects lined up for him. Living in a 200-year-old home is going to provide plenty of opportunities to call on Brian's experience and excellent problem-solving skills.

We had several contractors involved in the project. Around the pantry was wainscoting & a trim that was original to the house, as the pantry was the original stairwell to the basement. Our plan was to convert pantry into the new powder room, as well as moving a wall & adding a desk area. We had planned a week for bgs (Plumbers), 2 dys for my husband to do the walls, He requested 4 ds for the cabinets/desk & wainscoting & then 3 ds for the floors, 2 ds for the painters, which would have given us 2 ds before the wedding rehearsal, just as everything would be coming in for the event. We knew it wasn't ideal, but everyone promised they understood the time constraints & assured us they could accomplish their job within the window provided. We offered to pay extra with the understanding that our project would have to be their only priority during that time. Bgs did a good job but were behind schedule to start which was compromising the whole project. Rob was to install the cabinetry & custom desk & patch in wainscoting, but he was to start after the bgs were done. We had another contractor doing the floors & finally painters to finish everything off. He couldn't start until the bgs were done because the wall where the plumbing was to be added was where the new desk & patched wainscoting was to go. My husband was going to do the drywall, so the night the bgs finished he was ready to go. He had all the materials & ready to go on the d the bgs were suppose to be completed, (Which was a Frid, despite him not actually needing to be there until Mond. Repeatedly the bgs said they done on Frid, but progress did not indicate such. In fact they didn't finish until the following Thursd, which was when He would have been scheduled to be finished. So the bgs didn't come Saturd or Sund, Both He & bgs came Mond, though they didn't seem interested in putting in more than a couple hours of work. By Tuesd night he had everything he could do done & was just waiting on the bgs. He came Wednesd in hopes they would finish, but they didn't once again. When the plumber said he needed to go to the store to get a tool to cut around some framing, He was able to expedite the process as he already had the tool. Finally on Thursd the bgs finished, My husband planned 2 ds for the walls, but He was there to help, keep in mind this was the d he was scheduled to finish & the walls weren't even started. He stayed until 2 a helping my husband complete the walls (He had been there since 7 a). We told him he could sleep in the next d if he needed to because now we were going to have to push the floor people back (They should have been Frid, Saturd, Sund & painters were coming Mond. Floor guys managed to move their schedule around & said they could start Sund & finish Mond. He showed up bright & early Frid morning & worked straight through until 10 PM, again on Saturd & he managed to get everything done by noon on Saturd. We were so relieved as he really stepped up & did so much more than we had expected or than any reasonable person could have expected. The floor guys also did a great job & managed to finish Mond as they had said, at noon. Painters were suppose to finish the stuff in the barn on Sund, to be ready for the kitchen area on Mond, but they didn't show on Sund, Mond they finished the barn, but left early instead of starting on the kitchen which was imperative. Wednesd the painters started with some gripe about the wainscoting finish, we were using a special kind of paint as it was a high traffic area & wanted to preserve the wood, they said something about the wood needing to be sealed first, which made no sense to us, but it was there excuse to leave again. We called He to ask him about this & he was as baffled as we were. He came up to the house & called the painters with us, the owner more or less said the guys didn't feel like doing it that d. He jumped into action & finished the paint on the wainscoting, along with all the areas he had worked, & told us he'd come back the next d when the painters should have been finishing. Again they showed up late after the guy who wasn't even suppose to be there. My husband ended up firing them after a comment by the 1 painter, He & my husband managed to finish all the painting & project was completed in time for the rehearsal. He also ran to the store to get the caulk & other materials we needed. He never asked us for another dime & assured us that he just wanted everything to be right. The way you handled this project with its many challenges was beyond our expectations. I truly can't express in words our gratitude for your resilience & profe

My experience with All My Sons Moving (32 Coles Ave, Cherry Hill Township, NJ and All My Sons…read moreCorporate Office in Texas) has been the worst service experience I have ever had, and their public ratings across major platforms reflect exactly why so many customers report similar issues. Across multiple review sites, this company consistently scores poorly: * Google: Approximately 3.9 stars, with thousands of reviews * Yelp: Approximately 1.5-2 stars, with a long history of complaints * Better Business Bureau (BBB): 1.97 stars across more than 1,000 customer reviews, despite being "accredited" These ratings are not a coincidence -- they mirror the exact problems I experienced. Please don't take the chances that I did and use this company. You'll be very sorry. I hired All My Sons for what should have been a simple, professionally handled move within Pennsylvania. Instead, the company sent a crew from their New Jersey branch, and from the moment they arrived, the situation was unacceptable. The movers smelled strongly of weed, and the odor was so overwhelming that it transferred onto my belongings, the moving blankets, and into my home. Despite being quoted $1,500 for a move that originally included far more items than we ultimately needed moved, the crew stalled for hours, took an unreasonable amount of time to get set up, and barely worked. They attempted to charge us $200 per hour for 12 hours to move fewer than ten pieces of furniture and no boxes--time that was inflated entirely due to their own lack of productivity. They even took apart furniture unnecessarily, removing every screw they could find, and then struggled to reassemble anything, which appeared to be a deliberate tactic to keep the clock running. To make matters worse, they forced us to pay immediately before unloading the furniture, even though the job was nowhere near complete and their performance had already been unacceptable. They refused to allow me to inspect my furniture after they brought it in. They were holding my furniture in their truck until I provided the person on the phone with a credit card to pay for the move. By 10 p.m., exhausted and frustrated, we had no choice but to let them leave. My husband and I ended up moving most of the furniture ourselves, unwrapping and assembling items they were supposed to handle. The next day, we had to take two cars and make multiple trips just to move basic items like totes and clothing bags--items we specifically hired them to move. Damage Discovered - In daylight, the true extent of the damage became clear. The movers had: * Drilled holes through three credenzas, including over ten holes on the wrong side of two of them * Split a 500+ lb wooden and marble credenza by placing it on its side on a dolly instead of carrying it properly * Stained my couch * Broken a $1,500 art piece * Scratched $1,200 chairs Their lack of training and care was obvious, and their behavior raised serious concerns about whether they were under the influence while handling our property. Claims Process & Geoff Burgess I filed a claim for nearly $10,000 in damages, providing receipts, photos, and videos--evidence the company was aware of from the moment the damage occurred. Since my move at the end of December, I have been going back and forth with All My Sons for months. It is now March, and they have: * Refused to settle * Refused to explain their employees' behavior * Refused to address the lack of training or drug testing * Refused to replace or compensate me for the extensive damage The claims representative, Geoff Burgess, has been a complete roadblock. He: * Refuses to review any of the material proof * Refuses to provide documentation * Refuses to acknowledge the severity of the damage * Blocks any attempt to escalate the issue I even tried going to his supervisor and to customer service, and no one will do anything. Every path leads back to Geoff, who simply repeats the same scripted denial. Their final response was that their insurance would only cover $644 under "limited liability," and they refused to refund the $1,500 I paid for the move. The local NJ operations manager initially told me he would speak with his partner and call me back. He never did. I have texted him multiple times and left a voicemail with no response except to speak Geoff in claims. The company also refuses to let customers speak directly with their executive team, forcing all communication through an internal division that shields them from accountability. I even tried reaching out on LinkedIn to the chief customer officer of all my sons in their corporate office in Texas. Conclusion - This company's behavior is unacceptable, and their pattern of ignoring customers, denying valid claims, and hiding behind internal processes is exactly why they have low ratings on Google, Yelp, and the Better Business Bureau. I wish I had looked more closely at those reviews before hiring them. Don't make this mistake!
