Steve installed a huge dog door in a metal door for us. I called other handymen who wanted money upfront weeks before coming out, and who blew off our original appointment day. But Steve, was different, he has a very easy to use scheduling system and quoting system. He arrived two days after I reached out to him and he charged me less than his original quote because he ended up doing it faster than he thought. That type of honesty is rare to find these days. Great website, quoting process and overall professionalism. The owner noted that he didn't come cheap, which was no problem. Steve was at our home today doing some work for us. We found him on Yelp two weeks ago. He came out and gave us a quote and did the work today. The first thing we asked him to do was install a new lamp fan combination above our bed. The second thing was to install a motorized tv mount on our ceiling on our back porch and mount our new 55" tv and sound bar. This was tricky and Steve killed it. Steve Bright is a great handyman. He is conscientious, clean, and precise. We had him perform two main jobs for us - fix a poorly installed tub, and patch the damaged ceiling underneath that tub. Our tub was installed in a way that water was seeping behind it onto the ceiling of the first floor. Steve performed a few ingenious - and now invisible - cuts in the tile around the tub, so he could adjust its position and cancel the leak. When we got home from our vacation, I had to look closely to be sure he'd even been there, the place was so clean afterwards. No leaking since. For the ceiling, he had to cut a big chunk out of the plaster, which created a lot of dust. To contain the dust, he erected a plastic shield, floor to ceiling, that created a special little room he could work in. He did a great job, and was kind enough to work around our WFH schedule. Also, on both jobs, he gave clear cost estimates, and kept himself within budget. I would not hesitate to hire Steve for the other jobs needed around our old house, and look forward to seeing him drive up in his mobile workshop again. read more
