We went with this…read morecompany due to a seemingly solid plan the owner gave us, his experience, and the fact it was a small family owned business. If we could go back now we would have never went with the company. The owner Rick lacks accountability, responsibility, and has poor reputability. He does not keep to his work and has more excuses than I have ever heard from a business owner. This company has been working on two projects on our home since March. There is been one problem after another with excuse after excuse. His crews leave trash at the work site, have been see smoking pot, sitting around when they have been working, they did not lay the product we ordered, got into a water main, half ass repaired the water main and caused a malfunction in our homes water pump due to sodder going into the pump, and over all doing the bare minimum. The initial project we were told would be completed in two weeks it has now been three months. Do not use this company for any home build or large project. It had been beyond disappointing and frustrating to say the least.

I contacted United Veterans Roofing because as a veteran I wanted to support a veteran owned…read morecompany, which it was previously. They would also navigate the home insurance aspect of the roof damage. They did a great job with the shingle color and roof damage. Unfortunately, their customer service is non-existent. It has been over a year since the job was done and I continue to have water pour into my basement because they never would come out to attach my gutter to my downspout. Many excuses, such as we're busy, it was that way (never had water in that part of the basement), and I've easily spent $500 on ways to keep rainwater from doing more damage in that basement area. It is a 10 minute fix. Their lack of concern over their incomplete job is egregious, but when it came time for me to pay out of pocket expenses, the owner contacted me personally. Other than that, over the course of last summer and early fall they were unresponsive to the problem they created. I am a disabled veteran, 68 years old, who doesn't need any more difficulties in life than I already have. Several handymen have said the job is too small for their time, and two roofing companies would not touch what United Veterans Roofing should correct. My last option is spending money to have the gutter and drains totally replaced in order to stop rainfall from major storms coming into my basement. I sought the advice of an attorney as well. It is just a sad, frustrating experience with this company that has caused cleanup problems for me, as well as spending money on supplies to soak up the excess water under my unattached downspout as well as inside my basement in that area, much less a contractor fan to try to dry the affected area quicker. I do not recommend their company because of unresponsiveness in completing their job.
