The food was delish. Dad didn't love the coffee but he can make his own. :) The staff has been there a long time and the ownership is also long-term which I find stable. There are a lot of pluses, but the icing on the cake was that each of three different residents talked to us in passing, and they were very cheerful and appeared happy. My dad is excited to move in soon, and it's a relief to the rest of the family. We're looking forward to my dad experiencing the Men's club, weekly happy hour, and nightly movies. I'll update my review in about three months.

My father lived in this facility for nine months, during which he fell 13 times, despite my clear…read moreand early disclosure that he had Parkinson's dementia. Rather than revising his care or offering support, the facility ultimately evicted him after his final fall, labeling him a "fall risk"--a fact they had known since day one. They violated legal eviction procedures by failing to give a 30-day notice, and informed me while I was out of the country, leaving my father in the hospital and me scrambling to find a new place for him. The lack of empathy during a vulnerable time was inexcusable. To make matters worse, the facility said the only way they would allow him back was if I paid for a private 24/7 nurse--an expense they knew was unrealistic. This was clearly a tactic to push him out while appearing cooperative on paper. Not sure if Aireen T. is still the director but she is not responsive, professional, caring, or compassionate at all. I had to involve Ombudsman to get responses from her on everything. There are also serious safety and staffing concerns. During a power outage in the heat of summer 2024, the facility had no backup generator. We overheard firefighters asking staff where the generator was, and staff admitted there wasn't one. During this incident a female resident was stuck in the elevator for literally hours on a hot summer day!! It was horrifying. Others, like the woman across from my father's room, were left in the dark yelling "hello, is anybody there?" My family and I went to her to calm her down ourselves as no staff member checked on her or other residents to reassure them during this electricity outage. They are clearly understaffed and many of the caregivers are not certified CNAs, and it shows. Staff routinely defer to residents' refusals for essential care, and hygiene, rather than providing informed, proactive support for those with cognitive conditions. Many times I showed up and I could smell he hadn't showered. When I asked staff why they would say that he refused so they didn't do it. Medication for my father was not consistently dosed at a consistent time which was also a huge problem. My father also experienced racism from two other residents, and when I raised this with the Director Aireen, they brushed it off--blaming the behavior on health issues such as UTI and did nothing to protect or acknowledge the harm done to my father. Aireen and executive management did nothing to soothe our concerns. This facility is not safe, not equipped, and not compassionate. I would not trust them with any loved one under any circumstances.

Their owners and workers have always been outstanding with their many holiday celebrations besides their great daily care. The home is super-clean and the first thing we noticed was how well lit with natural lighting the home had. Plus the beautiful covered patio makes for a happy residence. All the other family members of residents have agreed with us regarding GHH superior care for our loved ones.

WOW - the care and compassion and kindness shown to my Dad during this time is truly difficult to express. Every minute I knew he was getting all he needed and all done gently and with kindness. The full staff was also very compassionate to me, his daughter, and my mom/his wife. e day my Dad passed I believe every staff member stopped by his room to say goodbye to him, touch him, hug me and my husband, say kind words about him, etc. It could not have been sweeter! For most who live here the walk is likely prohibitive, probably can be a big risk being alone with no sidewalks. Wouldn't want to fail out there by myself. Seems like an appropriate place to have a car. Hmmm Magnolia is definately beautiful, picture perfect. Outside and inside. It is an relatively small facility, 36 residents maximum. Only 30 when I was there. That's a 17% shortfall. The small size could be very, very good, intimate and more homelike. But here it is a huge liability. Their cash flow is underwater. The 3 hours I spent looking at life there left me totally disappointed, even scared. As appealing as the property is, inside and out, I cannot consider living in this environment. Several reasons. Food, resident's rooms, too many people wandering about looking abandoned, no real and consistent activities to engage the residents, no real landscaped grounds for exercise, no easy access into Danville, no big screen tv in the lounge area, etc. There are some group activities that look really engaging and happy. But still, there are individuals who appear to find themselves completely alone. The staff however, is very friendly and completely welcoming and it appears totally clean and safe. Looking more closely however, the individual rooms are beyond depressing. It feels like nothing has changed in decades. Like a scary motel in a Hitchcock movie. I'm not jesting. The bed I was shown was either from the 1940s or somebody's garage sale. The stuff if nightmares. Magnolia could be absolutely inviting and comfortable. A missed opportunity. Maybe later..... Anyway, as I was preparing to leave Heidi offered to consider a few requests for me such as offering a big screen tv ($300) and plain but large and healthy salads for lunch and dinner. (Assisted living facilities are charging five to eight thousand a month.) Dinner and an inexpensive tv seem very reasonable expectations from over here. Oops, they don't serve dinner. They crank out sandwiches. Got to be that pesky budget. Anyway. Heidi, who is unbelievably charming and full of positive energy - promised to talk with her boss about my requests, incidental as they were, but critical for me, and call me to resolve my questions. Nothing. No follow through. Wow. Another nail in the coffin, so to speak. No inference to the elderly intended. Hey that's me too. Lol. If you are considering Magnolia, share lunch in the dining room with the residents. You'll want to plan dinner elsewhere. Maybe an after lunch - lunch. Where is that big screen tv in a public space. Climbing into or on one's bed to watch tv 24/7 is just unacceptable, at least for me. And please, look closely at the rooms where residents are living. You may find it appealing. Maybe not so much. Food is a huge component of life for residents here. The food is abominable. Seriously. The residents appeared oblivious or resigned. The plate I received was ABSOLUTELY INEDIBLE. The management and staff should eat what they serve to the residents. Management 101. The staff, who are all very, very nice, made lunch for themselves while the residents ate. The Filipino lunch (I believe) the staff enjoyed looked totally delicious (and plentiful). Their table was really happy. It looked like a party. Good enough but the residents should definitely come first. And the portions offered to the residents are quite small. Perhaps appropriate for older diners, perhaps not. I was shocked. I have owned high end restaurants (plural) in Denver, Aspen and San Francisco. I know food service. This is inexcusable, Hello... so - pick up the phone. please.

After interviewing several homes, I felt such a warm feeling about Easy Living Home Care after my interview with Emily, the owner. I was also impressed with the fact that they were hosting a Celebration of Life for one of the former residents. Rave reviews from the residents family. This place has been a godsend. My dad is receiving great care. Caregivers are warm, caring, and treat residents like family. Much more personal than Assisted Living, where he was left alone most of the day with no one looking in on him. Our family finally has peace of mind knowing he is well cared for. Thank you Emily, Mel, Tess, Dee, and all the other caregivers.

The minute I walked into the house, I knew I'd found the perfect place. Emily was so welcoming and kind. The attendants were engaging and busy at their jobs. But what really got me was that the house was warm and spotless clean and the elderly residents I spoke with were HAPPY and complimentary of the care they were receiving. Once dad was moved in, my first impressions were confirmed. My biggest compliment goes to the caregivers. They answered my questions, they took time to know my dad, to provide things he enjoyed and to help him feel as at home as he could. I would not hesitate to recommend Emily and her staff to anyone in need of considerate care for an aging family member. I am eternally grateful.

Right off the bat I noticed the space was very cosy, inviting, warm, and most importantly for me: CLEAN! I took a good handful of photos so please browse through... The staff seemed genuinely friendly and caring, which is so crucial in this space, but from what I hear from others more of a rare trait to find (which is heartbreaking). There were a handful of folks relaxing in the TV room, and they seemed to look quite content, but I know the upper management strives to get more of a variety of activities in the facility that involve the local community, which is always a massive plus. If you're looking for a space that will help take care of your elders as if they were your own, do yourself a huge favor and check this community out!

My Mother had been in another assisted living facility in Livermore for over a year. The previous facility looked more like a resort, but trust me, it was not a good place for someone who cannot be their own advocate or has mobility issues, and the care was borderline criminal. There were many times I had absolute proof that my Mother was being neglected and abused (baby sitter monitor). There were many times she went without a shower for weeks or sat in dirty depends all day. Sure the staff was all smiles when I was there, and yelling at her when I wasn't. LVSLC may not be the most glamorous or fancy facility, but it is always very, very clean and I genuinely trust them without hesitation. The staff are truly my Mom's advocate and continuously communicate her status and take the time to talk with you each visit. They take care of everything, laundry, bathing, grooming, medications, taking them through the garden, singing to them, or just taking the time to talk with them like a friend, and they closely monitor her health throughout the day.

Outside is a pleasant, large deck surrounded by trees, shrubs and flowers where we often like to visit my mother. But aside from how nice the home is itself, the care here is what is ultimately important. The caregivers really treat my mother well, just like a loved family member. She is 95 and wheel chair bound, but she is always treated with respect, included in conversations, and encouraged to share her wit and sense of humor. We know that she is comfortable, she eats very well, and she likes the owner and staff here. And they like her!

The staff was so kind and patient in the excellent care that was provided. I always felt secure in knowing that they truly cared about her well-being. The owners were available at any time if I needed to speak with them. They were prompt to respond to texts or calls. My aunt and I grew to consider everyone associated with C & M as family. There was always a warm and caring feeling not only with regards to those who resided there but also towards those coming to visit.
