It quickly became obvious that I was going to need full-time in-home care for her during my absence. That evening, I made a phone call to Visiting Angels of Livermore. They offered to provide a full no-commitment assessment, and I accepted. The next day, Mr. Keith Beck, Executive Director, came to my home and evaluated Mom's situation and needs. Mr. Beck was on-time, professional, organized and efficient. Following the assessment, we were introduced to a recommended caregiver who, assuming my approval, would be responsible for Mom. She was professional, very conversational with Mom and an experienced caregiver. By the end of the appointments, I was confident that Mom would have good, comforting care while I was gone. I was extremely impressed that Visiting Angels responded so quickly, and was also able to provide and dedicate quality staff in a timely manner. I continued the caregiving services on a part-time basis after I returned home as Mom was still not quite stable. Another caregiver was introduced and assigned. After a couple of weeks of continued part-time care, Mom became much better and I was comfortable with stopping the services. I highly recommend Visiting Angels of Livermore. All of my experiences (and my Mom's) were positive. It is a very well managed business with a reliable, kind, and supportive team: owner, office staff, and caregivers. Thanks to Visiting Angels I was able to enjoy my vacation. I will definitely use them again when and if the need arises. If you are considering in-home care for a loved one, Visiting Angels of Livermore is it. An excellent Yelp score....5 Stars all the way!

Luckily, we were put in contact with OneHealth for my fathers post hospital stay. We were so impressed with their punctuality, professionalism and knowledge. The nurse that came by was extremely patient in explaining how to do dressing changes and explained in great detail on how my father was to take all of his medications. The physical therapist, Jim, was beyond our expectation. He was so helpful and compassionate. The nursing staff who did the assessment was absolutely superb! The pt who did the evaluation was incredible! But the administration?? Truly a joke! First off, the receptionist is rude, disrespectful and has zero empathy. I wonder how much sensitivity training they get?! You are dealing with families going through very tough times in their lives. Her behavior is unacceptable and she is truly in the wrong industry. I spoke with the assessment nurse about it who left a message for "Kevin". I have no idea who Kevin is or what his title is. I received a voicemail from Kevin days later. I mean DAYS! I call back and the receptionist tells me he never called me and essentially calls me a liar, as I'm staring at Kevin's voicemail on my phone. She refused to put me through to him. That was the last straw! The previous day, I attempted to contact the nurse who had seen my husband only ONCE since his assessment and it was 9 days AFTER the assessment! My husband had a massive heart attack, followed by a serious fall, resulting in bodily harm and injuries, for which he was hospitalized again. Here I am chasing her and she can't give me an appointment to save her life. I told her he has an emergency dental issue and I need to take him to the dentist and she tells me her only availability is during the dental appointment! She then proceeds to get an attitude with me about my "frustration" with her. The next day when I attempted to speak with this Kevin person, whose voicemail had come in during the weekend, and was unable to, I had had it. I fired the agency over the phone and on the spot! Later that day I get a text from the evaluating pt to come and discharge my husband the following day. Are you kidding me?? I was respectful and declined. I contacted our PCP for a referral to a different agency. The agency called me an hour later. They will start in a couple of days. If you truly want good home healthcare services, this is NOT the agency to go to! The evaluating staff are great but after that, good luck! And heaven forbid you need to speak with someone with any type of pull. Forget it! The crass receptionist speaks for the entire administration.

The answer was NO. My brother had compilations from his feeding tube. It was placed because he forgot how to chew and swallow. It happens a lot after a coma. The bad thing was when his stomach would fill with fluids and he would have to get it pumped out by surgery. I was told about every 3 months.. So when my brother was released to Stratford, He was excited to be out of the hospital but scared also. Soon enough I was not so sure. My stomach and intestines resulting from kidney Failure. He was the last sibling I had as there were 4 kids total with me being last and my brother the oldest at 64. It started with the dude new staff members. Never answering requests for certain foods, not giving him proper care by not cutting his 1 inch long nails, or bringing him what he requested to eat or showers etc. then the Dr . He would only see a Dr online video chat. The staff that would give him random pills from this Dr he spoke with. When my brother would get his pills he would say " What is this?" They would answer back very shortly and yell " Your Medicine!" With No regard to tell him what it was for. My Brother asked me repeatedly to get him help with his Social Security and each time I would go up to the counter and request help for him. Not once would they. Also the director would always want to do a lengthy questionnaire for my brother regarding end of life and I would always tell her to let him fill it out and help him. It wasn't my business as he was getting better by the day. He started to go grocery shopping and I would take him. He hated their food and started buying his own. His stomach was really hurting him one day and I asked if they had asked or said anything about getting it drained. It was getting quite large in the belly area. He had no clue what I was talking about. I went to the front desk and let them know what was happening. It was poison for my brother. They called 911 that night and my brother went into emergency surgery . He stayed in hospital for 4 days before returning to Stratford.. I was very surprised they were not aware of it again. My brother couldn't quite walk on his own and asked for therapy one day along with me he was told it's not covered by insurance. He was bedridden. His clothes were always missing also. I Was busy around Xmas an ZNew Years day. Do We and had only taken him shopping for groceries and was felling pretty bad. I was heading out of town when he called me and said his stomach was hurting once again. It was filling up fast. He said he would let staff know. The next day I was headed to Reno for New Year's Eve. I called my brother and asked how things were going, he said his stomach was terrible. I asked if I should take him to hospital as an ambulance was not covered per the manager there at Stratford. My brother said "No, the staff said they would get him to hospital. I asked that he call me the next day for update. He agreed. 5 days later on Dec 31st my phone rang and it was Bebe the Director at Stratford, she said my brother was not responsive. I asked where he was as I was suprised she was calling me. She replied he was at Stratford. I said WHAT? He should have been in hospital as of 5 days earlier. She called me back and said she had no record of that request. I then told her I was coming to Stratford and to not touch any of his stuff. I got a call from Hospital telling me there was nothing they could do. It would require surgery I was told a few hours later on New Years Day that he passed. I kept getting calls from BeBe the director asking if he passed. It was very rude. I did let her know I was coming to retrieve his items. I wanted to see how much food he had eaten. I asked Bebe to please leave his area alone. I wanted to know how he left it a week solid. She assured me she would wait until I got there. Once I arrived, nothing was left. Everything was tossed. . I spoke to someone who said he was in pain and slept in his bed the entire time. No one checked on him. This person also was threatened by staff not to speak to me or he would e punished by his meds being held. Stratford killed my brother. They never did anything to help him. They ignored his request even for help with his social security benefits. He wanted to get outta there and would use those to help him. I will never forgive Raymond the front desk clerk or Be Be the director and the gal in charge of helping him with paperwork. I am upset she never raised a finger to help him.

This review is way long overdue - apologies folks!…read more I first went to scope out this senior living facility last year around May with a friend who needed support navigating an emotional chapter in her life. Right off the bat I noticed the space was very cosy, inviting, warm, and most importantly for me: CLEAN! I took a good handful of photos so please browse through... The staff seemed genuinely friendly and caring, which is so crucial in this space, but from what I hear from others more of a rare trait to find (which is heartbreaking). There were a handful of folks relaxing in the TV room, and they seemed to look quite content, but I know the upper management strives to get more of a variety of activities in the facility that involve the local community, which is always a massive plus. I am thankful that for the last year I have had peace of mind, knowing she is receiving the dignity and getting the care she deserves. My Mother had been in another assisted living facility in Livermore for over a year. The previous facility looked more like a resort, but trust me, it was not a good place for someone who cannot be their own advocate or has mobility issues, and the care was borderline criminal. There were many times I had absolute proof that my Mother was being neglected and abused (baby sitter monitor). There were many times she went without a shower for weeks or sat in dirty depends all day. Sure the staff was all smiles when I was there, and yelling at her when I wasn't. LVSLC may not be the most glamorous or fancy facility, but it is always very, very clean and I genuinely trust them without hesitation. The staff are truly my Mom's advocate and continuously communicate her status and take the time to talk with you each visit. They take care of everything, laundry, bathing, grooming, medications, taking them through the garden, singing to them, or just taking the time to talk with them like a friend, and they closely monitor her health throughout the day.
