The location is also super convenient, right by the freeway and close to plenty of stores, so I can easily run errands before or after my workout. The gym is always incredibly clean and hygienic. Unlike other gyms that just smell like bleach, you can tell this space is genuinely and frequently deep cleaned. I also love following the owner on Instagram. She is so helpful, encouraging, and genuinely cares about understanding your goals and helping customize your fitness journey. Was introduced to Certus Crossfit by my brother who was already a member. I was initially intimidated by "crossfit" as a whole, but was looking for a new fitness routine. I soon realized that any one no matter your age or fitness level can do crossfit .... I started at 46! Every movement can be tailored to meet you at your fitness level. With the help of the supportive coaches and "good job" fist bumps from the other members, workouts at Certus quickly became something that I looked forward to and have now become part of my daily routine. The breaks are quite short, allowing you to push yourself. I appreciate that the coaches are friendly and helpful to correct you when you're doing an exercise wrong and help you to get the most out of each workout. The equipment is all in good condition and cleaned after each exercise; you are expected to clean each area yourself, and they provide towels and disinfecting spray to do so. The meh: It's quite warm inside; I believe if they set the AC to turn on before classes started, that would solve the issue. Some of the coaches are more interactive than others.

But since I've been working with him, I'm feeling stronger, more sure of myself, and stepping off a curb doesn't have me reaching around for a handrail anymore . Having someone like Rob, to make sure I'm doing an exercise correctly, and not hurt myself, but also to encourage me to improve, has been just what I needed. He pushes me, but also listens to what I'm wanting to do. Recently, I said I wanted to do things to help with fishing (core muscles to help with hours and hours fishing at sea, casting strength, reeling heavy weights up from hundreds of feet down, etc) and he has put together a slew of exercises that are definitely helping!
