Was in Clovis and super excited to get in a few OTF workouts! Went with a friend, her regular studio. It was nice, familiar in all the right ways. Clean, by the OTF book, however there was one HUGE drawback. A loud, cackling group of exercisers that totally killed the vibe. Seriously, I was bummed that the OTF Coach didn't say something, ask them to keep it down a bit. I love OTF because of the mellow, keep to yourself vibe, but these folx were obnoxious! I'm giving the Clovis studio only two stars because they didn't ask the boisterous OTFers to keep it down :( read more

If you enjoy burning calories and burning your money, this is the place for you! I went here to try a free class but that's literally all I could afford from them. This tiny workout studio costs more than 17 times what my gym costs monthly! For unlimited monthly classes, it would be half a car payment. Although everyone was nice and the workout space was clean, it's basically just high intensity interval training with disco lights, loud music, a coach that strolls around correcting techniques, and screens you watch to figure the exercises out. What I ended up doing after my free class was to take the ideas from the class and go back to my $10/month home gym and do circuit training without breaking the bank. Like I said, if you love burning money and burning calories, this might be the workout place for you. read more

I have a love-hate relationship with OTF only because it's half self inflicted pain and half "damn I look and feel good!". I committed before and I never felt more amazing in my own skin. Moving to the area, I was surprised to see only 1 OTF location, and it was too far from where I live and my work schedule. So when the Clovis location recently opened up, I had to get back in the game. Orangetheory combines strength, endurance, and power through HIIT (high intensity interval training) using treadmills, water rowers, and weights. The workout also uses heart monitors so you can track your own heart rate in order to reach your heart rate maximum (80-90%ish) and ultimately achieve more afterburn (EPOC - excess post exercise oxygen consumption). If you have a weird schedule but can commit to at least 2-4 classes a week, I would recommend getting an unlimited membership (pricey but results speak for itself). If you are looking to only supplement your current workout, I would recommend purchasing a package of classes. Pros: - individuality: you set your own goals and push yourself at your own pace. Which leads me to... - accountability: you get what you put in! - energetic coaches: it's like a personal trainer in a group setting. They help you with your form and choose alternatives for any limitations. OTF might not be for everyone, but I can't lie, it works! Tip: bring a towel, you'll definitely need it. read more

Disappointing experience. Signed up online for my first class and was told since I wasn't on the list, I couldn't workout. Was also told the only other time for me to come was 5:00 am and "judging by the looks of me" I would need an hour orientation/consultation instead of 30 minutes. Great workout, coaches, and staff! I've done a lot of different workouts from big gyms to small specialized workout facilities, but Orangetheory has been the best for me. It's 60 minutes of running, rowing and circuit exercises led by enthusiastic and motivating coaches. The daily workout is constantly changing so your body can't adapt and plateau, unlike some other fitness trends (cycling). It's a total body workout that is Crossfit-like but without all the inevitable injuries. I've gotten my fair share of pulled muscles like any other hard workout, due mainly to my own inflexibility, but nothing like the muscle and ligament tears I would get at Crossfit. read more

I'm an OTF member since 2017, starting my membership in another location and have had the chance to visit many other studios throughout the state - all very consistent with cleanliness, courteousness, etc. The Clovis studio however, lots of room for improvement - I've been frequenting this location for a few months now and have seen: - the front desk checking people in as if this was another 24hr fitness (from my experience the staff has already memorized your name and is much more engaging by now); - when bringing up the inch of dust collecting on top of the studio fans getting a defensive "I'll tell the coach", while nothing has been done about it - front desk signing people up to equipment that is broken and still encouraging them on how to use it..! - front desk overbooking the classes and at times letting people in (from the waitlist) before the appropriate time, then having to kick them out of class. In complete honesty, the only thing keeping me here is the fact I believe in the OTF set up from a corporate perspective (giving a few stars solely for this reason + the coaching staff for pushing the workouts), the proximity of this studio to work/home, but if it wasn't for that - I would have moved on to another similar style group fitness class. read more

Best gym ever! The front desk staff is amazing. Thomas, Chelsie, & Katie will greet you with a friendly smile, helpful service, and up to date information at every visit. Their coaches are knowledgeable, energetic, & supportive. They encourage you just when you need it and correct your form to help you get the best out of your work out. I've taken classes with Kate, Sarah, James, Frankie, & Lori (to name a few) they all bring they're own level of expertise that will keep you motivated to keep going back for more. It's an awesome one-hour workout and each day is something different... never the same monotonous workout. I also absolutely love that a monitor tracks my progress through the workout. It helps me pace myself. It's super cool to see everyone work at they're own level of intensity. The atmosphere is upbeat and members often give each other high-fives/knuckles midway to let each other know they're doing a great job, keep it up, and help you get through the workout. I'm so happy I came across this particular Orangetheory Studio. The place itself is amazing along with wonderful staff and trainers. The front door staff are so accommodating and willing to do anything to fit your needs such as getting into a class when the app isn't working or even canceling a class when life happens. Especially Thomas who knows my name as as soon I walk in the door and knows which station I always love to start at. Orange theory Clovis is awesome! It is family oriented and all the coaches and staff really care about your success. They are helpful and encouraging and always push you to take the next step (the uncomfortable zone)! My husband and I got the founders rate for the unlimited. It is a little pricey but it is so worth it we go 4 days a week. This workout calculates your heart rate in different stages. It works with all body types and offers modifications for those with restrictions. It's a full 60 minute workout. 30 minutes of cardio and 30 minutes on the weight floor. They also offer a 1 day free trial to see what they are all about. I promise you will be satisfied every time you walk out their door! read more

There are lot of work that needs to be done at this location. One thing was the booking and classes. Last night I arrived at 6:45pm and the class already was 15 mins in. I was kind of disappointed they got it wrong and all I got from Natalie was "oops, but it will still be an hour long" which was not true. Natalie also kept charging the wrong debit card which was also frustrating. Its a very expensive membership but its the little things that count and turn me off. Will try it for another month but I don't like the mix up of schedule. read more

I have found my new go-to fitness routine! Can't give enough praise not only for the workouts, but for the amazing staff. Every day brings a new challenge but you never feel out of your element. I love that the instructors give you modifications for when you need it. Every body type, every fitness level, every age can do this workout! After just three weeks I could feel the difference. I feel strong, faster, and have more endurance. It is pricey compared to a standard gym, especially if you have the unlimited membership, but you are pretty much getting the next best thing to a personal trainer and the class sizes are small so you are not waiting around for equipment to open up. Horrible experience today. Signed up for my 1st class over the phone and rep told me to bring a friend so I did. When we arrived, the class was full so they offered 2 other classes starting later. I stepped out to call my friend and when I went back inside they told me BOTH later classes were full. When my friend arrived we went back to ask questions and the staff member was very rude and condescending. It was obvious that they did not want our business.
