Never ever did I think I'd be one of those people getting up at 4am to workout at 5am, let alone doing it before working a 12-hour shift. But here I am, almost four years later. Was introduced to Certus Crossfit by my brother who was already a member. I was initially intimidated by "crossfit" as a whole, but was looking for a new fitness routine. I soon realized that any one no matter your age or fitness level can do crossfit .... I started at 46! Every movement can be tailored to meet you at your fitness level. With the help of the supportive coaches and "good job" fist bumps from the other members, workouts at Certus quickly became something that I looked forward to and have now become part of my daily routine. I've met some really great people who have become friends not only inside of the gym, but outside of the gym as well. The programing is great, the coaches are knowledgeable and helpful. Equipment is in good shape and is repaired or replaced when necessary. Air conditioning in the hot summer months and nice locker rooms with showers. read more

Incredible environment with athletes at all levels. Amazing programming. All equipment is in great shape. The coach was outstanding, knowledgeable, motivational, and paid attention to all athletes--really focused on ensuring a safe and effective workout. I visited 4 times in 2 weeks while out of town. I attended 5 am and 6 am. First drop in is free. Second one you buy a shirt which is high quality. $20 after that. Worth every penny. read more

I dropped in for a few days while visiting family in town, and I gotta say Certus CrossFit feels like my home away from home! James was a knowledgeable and funny coach and made me feel so welcomed. As well as the rest of the members, they were all very sweet and welcoming towards me! Also, the facility was very clean with all the equipment needed for CrossFit classes/open gym. Certus opened up on Thanksgiving Day for a special morning cross fit workout. There were 40 or 50 of us at 8:30 Thanksgiving morning: many guests and numerous beginners at cross fit, including me. Trainers were all very helpful and supportive even barking encouragement during our 800M spints. Our circuit included intervals clean and press squats, pull ups and sprints. Absolutely amazing facility but more importantly, the coaches are hands down top notch. They've helped me transition from an extremely obese individual to leaning how and why it's important to keep moving towards my goals. It also helped me rid myself of diabetes, high blood pressure, and I'm sure a host of aliments. Decided to switch crossfit boxes because I got tired of taking classes that were extremely full as my old crossfit box constantly had deals on groupon. Not that there's anything wrong with growing your business but when it impacts coaching, it's time to move on. I found Certus and I love the integrity of the box. They're welcoming and have coaches that are not on their phone and are actually walking around and looking at each athletes form. Certus is a big box with plenty of equipment, clean showers and awesome WODS. I'm very happy with Certus and the people there. I encourage anyone who is looking for a crossfit box to ask many questions and don't commit to any contracts until you have tried the box for a few weeks and see if it's a good fit for you. read more

After a month long trial period of the various gyms in the Fresno/Clovis area I settled on Certus as my new home gym. That was back in 2016. It was solid then and it is great now. Lots of classes, great community, great coaching, and clean, well-maintained facility. I would highly recommend Certus to anyone looking for a box. read more

I tried this place out and walked away from my other gym membership and bought a family membership here. It is a big facility and very clean. It has top of the line equipment and great staff and trainers. They are very accommodating to all levels within the classes. I've been to several crossfit gyms (been a member of 2 other ones in town) and Certus is BY FAR the nicest looking, the most professional, the cleanest, most organized, knowledgable.... I could go on and on and on!! The workouts are great, the coaches know what they are doing and the atmosphere is competitive but super friendly. I love this place!!! Dropped in this box for 2 days while visiting family in Clovis/Fresno area. Huge space, top notch equipment (rx jump ropes for everyone), friendly members and really helpful coaches. I mostly did some squats and practiced Olympic lifts and was able to do my own thing while class was going on. The classes were energetic and positive and everyone was cheering each other on. Finally, the bathrooms were very clean and have showers! Definitely coming back to this box next time I'm in Fresno, CA. The owner Michelle is very friendly too:) read more

I dropped in over Memorial Day weekend. This place is in a great location but more importantly has a great atmosphere and outstanding staff (Joe was the coach for the WoD). The box is clean and set up really well. I had a great workout with a few of the regulars. I would definitely recommend to anyone. I will be dropping in again on future visits. I look forward to coming in every day to workout. The workouts are well thought out and will challenge you EVERY day. Even on the days when I come in and feel like just going through the motions, once I do the warm up I find my mindset changing and pushing myself to get the most out of the workout. The community is great and very supportive; it's very motivating to me to feel like I'm letting the others down around me if I'm not giving my best effort. We've been going for a little over a week now, Joe and Michelle have been nothing but nice. Showing us the proper techniques, explaining what areas of the body we are working and Joe does a really great job with coaching his classes. I would highly recommend joining this gym as I feel they care about their members and that's the most important thing. They seem to know everyone by name which is a lot better than the big box gyms/training centers that you check in with some person in the front that doesn't even acknowledge you. If you haven't worked out in awhile they have a really good fundamentals class (3 classes) for you to practice before just going straight into a class. Check this place out! read more

I've never seen a Crossfit gym this amazing! It is very spacious and organized, not to mention they actually have showers near the restrooms! The instructors are very welcoming and personable, and are helpful for people at all levels (beginner, intermediate, and advanced). They are also involved with the community and truly work as a team.
