My usual Pedi tech at another Fort Mill place was on an extended leave so I went here four different times. The first couple of visits were OK but there was always a communication challenge on the phone getting it booked. The last couple of times, I just walked in and it was better. Mainly because I went during the week day and late morning when it wasn't took busy. I called ahead, made an appoint with a previous tech and showed up for my appointment on time as scheduled. It was on a Friday, late morning and that was a mistake. It was half-full and when I waled in, the smell of the acrylic hit me like a wave of toxicity. From across the room, one of the many masked techs, said 'sign in'. That was the first time in all previous visits I was asked to do that. There was an appointment book lying there so I was looking for my name under the time slot. Again, a masked person across the room, yells, the computer, the computer. I entered my info on the computer and waited for about 10 minutes. No one walked to the reception desk to speak to me. I walked out, I had to get some air to breathe. It was simply overwhelming and it was such a bad experience, I will not be returning. Maybe if I spoke Vietnamese or wore and oxygen mask it might be different. But hey, they are just too many other good options in the growing town of Fort Mill. read more

Here are two complaints QT Nail Bar in Fort Mill - Has Unhinged, ignorant and racist employees. I have recording where they talked to each other horribly a customers who is sitting in front of them. They don't deserve your money. I will post the recording shortly. I have also seen them treat black / Spanish people unfairly. I would love to know why are you treating people this way when they are paying their services just like the other people. 2nd complain I hate to write a bad review, however, I am highly displeased. I will start by saying that the ladies who completed my daughter and I pedicure and manicure were friendly, and accommodating. I believe the owner is the one who did my daughter's first acrylic sns. My daughter and I went in almost a week ago tomorrow, for a mommy-daughter "girls spa night." My daughter received her first mani/pedi, however, she got acrylic with SNS that was highly recommended by the nail tech because "it's better for her nail" and lasts longer. I also received a pedi and asked for full set gel nails with a picture of how I wanted my nails. Long story short, it took FOREVER for the nail tech to finish my daughters nails and she complained about having to apply multiple layers to my daughter's nails because of a pink undertone when her nails were supposed to be white. I can now tell not even a week later that she didn't start completely over and do it right as opposed to covering up her mistake. My daughter also told me that she dipped her nails numerous times. It has been 6 days, and two of my daughter's nails have come off completely. The day after my mani was done, it looked as if I had these nails on for a week already and that I've been washing tons of dishes. And my cuticles were dry. The shape was not exactly like the picture, nor was the polish color which I had to find due to the fact that the nail tech I had not being able to recommend a nude color based upon what they had. The design she claimed to have copied from the picture and shape I had to pay an additional $15 for which I was not happy about especially since the design started to peel off after only 3 days! I paid over $200+ for our services which is extremely more than I'm use to paying, and I'm highly disappointed that our nails did not even last us a week. :/ I wish I could get 50% refund on our nails because it didn't even last us 5 days. This is ridiculous, and I don't plan on returning for future services. With the amount I paid, I expected our nails to last AT LEAST 3-4 weeks. I will provide pictures of me and my daughter's nails as well as a picture of what my nails were supposed to look like. Trust me, You'll be able to tell the difference. Lovely times at QT Nail Bar. It's beautiful decor to its kind staff. It's conveniently located right beside Earth Fare and by Taco Bell. The salon is clean and there are lots of colors to choose from. I'm well taken care of and my dip is always perfect. Not too thick like other salons do. I came with SNS on my nails and after a short time of soaking them off, the nail tech proceeded to rip off the remaining polish. I asked her 3 times to soak them more and then drill them off but she said no until the third time. She then proceeded to put SNS overtop of the old SNS she couldn't get off. Saying this is how she did it. She was quick, sloppy and insisted that my nails were coffin shaped like I'd asked when in fact they weren't. Finally I asked for someone else to take over. Paid $24 for a deluxe manicure In which the man was grabbing my hands forcefully, placed them in uncomfortably hot water to soak off my dip and I love hot water! Cut my nails down and filed them clipped the excess skin from around them and put one coat of clear polish on and said I was done. No sugar scrub or lotion or anything that would suggest or warrant the cost of "deluxe". My daughter had a fill-in and we both finished at the same time and she is not happy with the rush job she was given by her tech either. Never again! read more

Do not go here.....Extremely rude staff. I had an extremely unpleasant experience there. At the point in my dip manicure when, for no reason, the young and struggling tech got up to work with another client who had just entered the store, I got up and went over to ask her why she wasn't finishing with me....no answer. Again, I asked her the same question. She told me to go sit down and she would come back shortly. I told her that I had somewhere to go and would she please finish with me.... no. I went and sat back down. The manager came ove, so I asked her why the tech would stop working with me.... again, no answer. I told her that nobody was getting a tip. I also told her that neither my daughter nor I would be coming back, and that since both of us come there frequently, they would be losing 2 good customers. No response. Tried QT nail bar for the first and last time. To start off, they gave me almost no colors to chose from. I got the SNS like I normally get and they looked terrible. The top coat was all smudged and bumpy. When I went to pay I was looking at my nails and the nail tech asked if everything was okay, I said no not really the top coat is all bumpy and the nail tech said nothing/didn't offer to fix it. I have been here multiple times. Their overall service is good, but if they are busy and you're getting a pedicure, expect a quick service. It also depends on which attendant you get as to how long it will past. However, I have never had a bad experience and if something looked off I spoke up and it was fixed! read more

We ended up here when our regular place couldn't take us. The woman who did my pedicure was using the cuticle cutters to cut my toenails and stabbed me. She was working too quickly and sloppily. I yelped and she didn't apologize, instead she said- "YOU scared me!" I'm sorry- what? You stab me and admonish me for scaring you? I should have gotten up and left then. The rest of the pedicure was awful, terrible massage and tons of attitude. We will never go back again. Try instilling your techs with empathy if they hurt a client, clearly it wasn't intended but her techniques desperately need re-education. read more

My last visit to the QT nail salon in Ft. Mill off 160 overall was just ok. This salin has the potential to be great, but the issue is some of the nail technicians. My first visit back in a long time due to illness, was not pleasant. The nail technician, Cindy, didn't listen to the pedicure package I wanted but insisted I get the higher price Volcano pedicure package, which was ok but not what I wanted. I am not against trying new packages, I just didn't like her attitude. Then when I said I wanted 5 different colors on my nails she had an attitude and her facial and body language was very evident that she was not happy. So I decided to not get the designs I wanted because I want it done correctly and because of the attitude. This cost the salon money they would have gotten from the designs. Plus she was talking in her native language to a coworker, Lena (spelling?), most of the time, which I think is rude. Plus she told me not to move and not in a nice way. I responded that's almost like telling me not to breathe; neither is possible for me. I noticed that both Cindy and her coworker Lena are impatient with their customers and telling the customer what they want instead of listening to their customers. I noticed that Nina, who was doing the intricate design for my friend, was very patient, did not have a bad attitude and treated my friend with respect, which was not shown to me. Susan, the new manager, also assisted Nina with some of the design for my friend and was also very respectful. My friend had an incident the nail technician brushed the top part of her foot with the coarse file and it got infected. She only goes there now because of Nina. I will make appointments with either Nina or Susan. I was very patient and respectful despite the same not shown to me but if it happens again, I will let the technician and manager know what I think and then go straight to the owner!!! I gave Cindy a tip so that she will know what she's going to miss going forward. I am a very generous tipper. There needs to be more nail technicians like Nina who actually cares about their customers and actually welcomes the challenge if doing more intricate nail designs!!! Susan was also very accommodating and listened to my complaint. So hopefully something will be done. If not, I suspect that they will continue to lose customers. But my hope and prayer is that they will get rid of the bad apples and hire more like Nina and provide outstanding service and flourish!!! Tammy from NC read more

I don't know where to start . The only thing good of there was the pedicure services . Me and my mom and sister nails are horrible . When I let the person know who was doing my sisters nails French tips were too thick she said she was doing it so the nail bed wouldn't show . But it wasn't even noticeable! Her French tip color are horrible ! Too thick . My nails they are not like the picture I showed it . The clear fingers with the design are very bubbly . The pedicure I told them I wanted I didn't get . I said I wanted the regular pedicure but no instead they did the chocolate one and I had to pay for it . I was not pleased and will not be going back . Horrible service . The other girls were asking their customers if they wanted something to drink but for me and my mom it took us a while to get until I had to ask for it . The prices are not reasonable especially for my sister who is 12 yrs old and got blue French tips and charged me for her $75 ! That is ridiculous. read more

One star only because that's the lowest i can put on here! This place is horrible. I have never have an experience like this. They did a SLOPPY job, looks like a kid painted my nails. And I got gel polish and we all know with gel polish your nails are hard. Well mine will bend like paper and when I said this wasn't gel I should not be able to bend my nails the lady said " no, you're nails are very thin" no they are not. She also said my nail was cracked and she needed to do the dip, I said my nail is not cracked just the gel polish is. I said no thank you and she replied " you need done" She was very rough and in a hurry. Only tried this place because my normal place was book. Lesson learned!
