I've been here 3 times in the last 10 days. It is perfectly placed on my way home for me to stop and get a to go order. The Korean style spicy squid is excellent with an amazing sauce. I found the Jom Pong warming and delicious on a cold day but there seemed to be a very small amount of seafood in it which was a bit disappointing. The Chilli shrimp was an unexpected favorite. It is fried shrimp smothered with a sweet spicy sauce and some sort of crunchy vegetable. I usually find fried foods like this far to heavy but the sauce and the vegetables seemed to balance this out and I truly enjoyed it. The Pad Thai I tried with tofu instead of chicken and unfortunately it seemed a little lackluster, however I did pick it up as a to go order just after they had closed so they might have been off their game a bit. read more

I was very disappointed with this food. I thought there was some promise given the good reviews, but the food I received was sub-par. I ordered fried rice which was supposed to come with shrimp, chicken and beef. There wasn't a shrimp in site. Not one. The texture of beef was too soft and tasted & looked undercooked. The chicken had a rubbery texture and didn't have any flavor. If it wasn't for the extra money I paid for vegetables ($0.50 to $1 each) broccoli, onion, bean sprouts and pea pods, the dish would have just been comprised of this horrible meat and a big container of mushy white rice. A no-frills storefront location that dishes out some first class chow. Star items for me are the pork won tons and the fried green beans. The former are crisp and absolutely packed with piggie . The soy-garlic sauce on the latter manages to complement rather than overpower the bean. Vegetables in everything I've had here have stayed crisp and firm, which suggests a lot of attention to detail on the part of the kitchen. The succulent Mongolian beef was among the best I've had. On my most recent visit I tried the kung pao chicken which was a little sweeter than I'm used to getting it, but still good (especially with peanuts that stayed crunchy!). The menu offers thai and korean items along with the typical American chinese offerings. The restaurant is bright and a bit sterile (you won't forget you're in a strip mall), and if you're sitting near the counter, bits of your dinner conversation will likely get lost in the clang of pots and the hissing of hot woks. QQ may best be experienced via take out, but in or or out, your taste buds won't be complaining. read more

QQ kitchen has quickly become an absolute staple in the restaurant scene in Toledo. To put it simply, everything on the menu is good. My personal favorite asian food appetizer is crab rangoon, and here they do it well. You get 4 rangoon for 2.99, so I always get at least one order. My other go to here is the Peking Chicken. I have been looking for decent Chinese for a while. We used to go to king chef, but had a bad experience there. We heard tons of good things about QQ so we went for it. I was not disappointed. The orange and sweet and sour chicken were delicious, nothing greasy or bland about the chicken. The four stars are because the egg roll and Rangoon were less than tasty as they were soggy. Also, they are closed all weekend so that is not ideal. Otherwise, yum!! read more

Still 5/5. The place smells amazing, I'm always looking at what people order. This time I tried something new: twice cooked pork. It's was awesome. It was said to be a spicier menu item but my tolerance is a bit higher than most so it was not spicy to me (lesser spicy folks beware). The combination of pork and cabbage with their heavenly sauce made for a delicious meal. Add some rice to your bite and the occasional mushroom with diced green onions and that's your dish. Awesome. I ordered takeout here while staying at a hotel next door. I had the drunken noodles with chicken and an egg roll. It really is as good as they say. I absolutely love Thai food and have eaten it from coast to coast. ***This review is based on a take out order only*** QQ Kitchen has long been on my list of places to eat in Toledo because I could not understand how an Asian restaurant could stay in business while only open M-F. "Asian" restaurants always make me nervous because I find it hard to believe that so many cuisines could be executed well in one location but QQ Kitchen was a pleasant surprise. My boyfriend and I ordered the crab rangoons, chicken wings, hot and sour soup, drunken noodles with tofu, seafood combination lo mein, kimchi bacon fried rice, hot braised fish, chili shrimp, and gan pan chicken (holy crap I just realized we ordered a lot). Food was ready in 40 minutes during lunch hour which is pretty impressive. In general, everything was a bit soggy but I think that was due to it being takeout, so I won't knock them for that. Here's a breakdown of what we ordered. Crab rangoons - wanted it to be stuffed more Chicken wings - needed more spice Hot and sour soup - good and tastes just like a buffet version Drunken noodles - more of a pepper noodle but still tasty especially with the fried tofu Seafood lo mein - the squid was a bit rubbery and the noodles didn't have much flavor Kimchi bacon fried rice - I was personally not a fan of the flavor combo and the fried rice was lacking substance Hot braised fish - excellent sauce and cook of fish! Chili shrimp - 10/10 would recommend. The shrimp were giant, and the chili sauce was so good. I would come back just to order this. Honestly not sure how this place has a rating of 4 and a half stars. This is easily the worst Chinese food I've ever had. My family ordered the orange chicken, 2 hot and sour soups, wontons, shrimp fried rice, and the Dragon Phoenix dish. Whew I don't know where to start. The shrimp fried rice is the most bland thing I've ever tasted. It taste like it's just seasoned with soy sauce and nothing else. The shrimp was slimy and there were no vegetables in our fried rice besides small pieces of cabbage. The wontons are really just a piece of rice paper that's fried with a small piece of chicken the size of a quarter or less. That's not a wonton. The orange chicken sauce was drenched all over our white rice. The hot and sour soup was somewhat decent, I can tell they use lots of cornstarch to thicken it -- for $49 this was very lackluster and so disappointing. This was my first time visiting Toledo and it just makes me not want to eat any Chinese food from here ever again seeing that this place was rated so highly. read more
