Awesome staff! Feels like a small town grocery store. Isles are much wider than north island.

They have a great cheese counter and their deli is awesome. I like their made-to-order sandwiches as they skimp on nothing and make them as quick as possible. It is easy to get in and get out with only one odd aisle configuration by the cheese counter. They have a very large variety of pastries and receive Top Pot doughnuts fresh daily. These are especially popular and often are sold out by noon. They typically seem busier in the day then during the evenings in general. Otherwise I don't notice anything majorly different here versus other QFCs. I like it, it has what I need.

Special shoutout to Michael, the Wine and Spirits steward. Solid guy, always friendly, who has been getting better and better Bourbon selection. So if you are one of those people that enjoys bourbon hunting in King County, this spot actually routinely has some great offerings at MSRP and not marked up a whole lot. Definitely worth checking in for that alone. As to the rest of the staff. They are all just really nice. The checkers are friendly, the store manager (I think), Zach, is really friendly and will wish you a "good morning" throughout the day, and night. Myra is friendly and kind, Mirjada (spelling?) is always welcoming and kind. For real though, this place has the best staff and they deserve a shoutout. Inside, it is clean, tidy and just the right size. It is not a giant grocery store like other ones in Seattle or Issaquah that feel like they take an hour just to get in and out with only a few things. Cheers

The class was lovely - started with a brief discussion about where chocolate comes from while we sipped/spooned some very, very European hot chocolate (you know what I mean, the kind that's super thick, like liquid chocolate. It's delicious!). After that we got to play in the chocolate, dipping an assortment of crunchy items (pretzels! graham crackers! and more), marshmallows, and fruit in dark chocolate. It was fun and and very hands on... the trick is to (not) lick your fingers! Or maybe not. It is your own little chocolate lake to play in. Highlight was raspberries dipped in dark chocolate - these are amazing. Even though it's not raspberry season, these were extraordinary. Afterwards parent purchased a box to take home. And when birthday season started this month, parent requested a box of Oh! Chocolate, which I shipped out to them. They were very happy and I get reports of how they're rationing out the chocolates one a day to get the most enjoyment! Shop is cool - because chocolate needs a cooler temperature - so I would recommend a sweater if you are taking the class.

Hubs had the pork which was flavored well, I had the tofu which could have used marinade. Luckily the pickled veggies and mayo added great flavor. You pay for the banh mi at the grocery checkout and then bring the receipt to the banh mi counter - which is just to the left inside S Marts South entrance. This is a small spot and they get busy, so perhaps check out the wait time and order before you shop. I waited 30 minutes mid day today. We'll definitely go again.

I come into the store, purchase goods & lunch for the day, buy Starbucks, and then head to my bus. Today, in the Rainier Avenue Safeway, I was refused entry to the store and publicly humiliated. For having a backpack, I was refused entry. I believe in sustainability; wearing a backpack and using reusable bags is something I have done every day since I moved here in 2017. To be clear, I will never set foot in your store again, backpack or no backpack, after being publicly treated like a criminal. I will not buy gas there. I have diverted my prescriptions to another pharmacy. I will not buy Starbucks there again. I will not get another vaccination there. I will not give your store another dime. The receipt checking? Fine. I do that at Costco. The store-within-a-store? Mildly inconvenient, but fine. The locking up ice cream? Sure, it probably helps my figure because I would never wait for someone to open it. But actively barring me entry as if I were a criminal? Humiliating me in public? When I am one of the last few paying customers of that store? Unbelievable. Good luck sustaining the business structured by that. Like I told the staffer who barred me entry: "I guess you don't want my money." At this rate, the only people left in your store will be people who came to steal from you.

So no problems there. But since we were here, decided to get something I've been wanting for a while. On a visit to a Miami's Whole Foods, noticed that they sell Golden Osetra Caviar from TSAR NICOULAI ($94.99 for an ounce). Like some other sale items, there is more of a discount if Prime member, so got the item for $76.99. In the same area, there are caviar accompaniments like blinis and creme fraiche, so got some of that too. Self checkout was easy: able to use the Amazon app to generate a barcode for my account, and was able to use the Amazon credit card to pay for it. The receipt was sent directly via email, but printing is possible as well. Well...the caviar ended up being not good even though the expiration date was in May (2 months out): mushy and tasted a bit like mud. My daughter and I looked online to see if that was what it was supposed to taste like, and decided that it was not...something in the supply chain had ruined it. Returning it the same day was hassle-free, with the employee just asking the reason for the return, and returning the amount back to my credit card. Don't do food returns much, so wanted to give props to Whole Foods for making it easy for a valid reason.
