Best pharmacy staff ever! I had both my Covid vaccines here. Kind and patient. I will be getting my flu shot here too!

So it's Friday night 2am and I need food. lol. I go there by all my stuff in their weird layout. Only to go tot he registers and realize there's only self checkout open. I have like 40 items in my cart. I knew it was going to be horrible cause that's really only for people with less then ten items. There was no attendant either and I'm pretty sure the couple behind me stole a few things. Before running at as fast as they could. My machine kept freezing up as I had a lot of stuff and there wasn't enough space on the bagging area. It took like 15 minutes just to scan everything through. Finally I was done and wanted to pay and lo and behold I needed an attendant. I waited 10 minutes fir him to show and he didn't also I asked a very nice stocker if there was someone there and he called him. Took another 5 for the guy to show. No apologies just and "my bad hahah". I want to give it less stars for that experience but in the daytime that store is great. People know you're name lines are quick and workers are helpful. So I'm giving it three. read more

In the past years, the 15 and Under register was always open but the last 4 times I went there, including today, I had to wait in line with carts that were full. They eventually called for help but not for us with just a few items. Very disappointing. read more

I like the convinence of this QFC because it has everything you would need.. just expect to pay way more. This might be because they are open 24/7 who knows? They carry hard alcohol but its way overpriced. Have not used deli or meat department. Usually just grab a few items here and there. They have a redbox, a coinstar, small pharmacy and a starbucks which is pretty much standard to anyplace you go. Good if you need a few items. I wouldnt shop here unless you are wealthy. I bought maybe 5 items here once and it ended up costing like 47 dollars. Other than that its a great store since its open 24/7. I used to work til 11 pm and everything else would be closed. I have been shopping here for five years and it is a pleasure to wander through the store. The staff are always kind and helpful. I am disabled and they invariably go out of their way to help me any time I need it. The store is kept clean, well maintained and fully stocked. On the rare occasion when I have been unable to find an item, all it takes is to ask an employee and they make every effort to ensure that I get what I'm looking for. One of the things I particularly enjoy is the warmth and camaraderie the employees have with one another and that carries over to their dealings with their customers. Since the covid began, I have been using the pickup service. There have been very few problems which is particularly remarkable considering how quickly the system was set up. As with all new systems, there are glitches and a learning curve, but each time I place another order, I find things are working better. I would highly recommend this store to anyone who is looking for a good neighborhood grocery store. Two thumbs up for Edmonds QFC! PS. It's even better since they did their remodel and they stayed open and never missed a beat throughout. Anyone who has been through a major construction project knows how difficult that is. read more

This review and rating are for the wine/liquor department ONLY! I went in a couple months back....on my continued hunt for the Seahawks Makers Mark bottles. They didn't have any out and I wasn't even going to ask about it because I figured they were already out. A gentleman was nearby with Diane (hope that's the right name!) . He asked if he could help me and I asked if there was any way they were getting any bottles. He said yes! Diane offered to hold one for me! It was seriously my lucky day! Many stores would not hold them so I feel like Diane went above and beyond. When the bottle came in, she called me and had it put aside. Thank you so much! read more

I live in Mill Creek and the deli there consistently makes good HOT sandwiches. I visited this QFC on my way home from the pier and ordered 3 Mt. Rainier sandwiches. There were none already made so the girl had to make them. She didn't bother asking us if we wanted them toasted so I had to tell her after she gave them to us cold. She toasted them and we go out to the car and pulled them out and they looked nothing like they were supposed to. Instead of putting them on Ciabatta bread, she put them on sliced bread. They were small. She also put some kind of mustard on them when there was not supposed to be. They were barely lukewarm and the tomatoes were cold. This has been an issue at every single QFC deli I get sandwiches from except the Mill Creek location. When I called the store on my way home to tell the lady in the deli what happened, she sounded less than sympathetic and even a little bit irritated and begrudgingly offered to replace the sandwiches. QFC, your deli sandwich-makers suck! Train them to pay attention to the ingredients that go into the sandwiches so they can make them as they are advertised, and to toast sandwiches until they are hot! I will have my sandwiches replaced in Mill Creek so that at least I know they will be made correctly. read more

This store I am impressed with and like very much.This store still does its best to improve and makes me want to totally shop in that store and to this day this store earns my business. I went to this store last week, early in the morning and it was freezing in the store! Like actually below 50 degrees, maybe even below 40 degrees! It had been below freezing outside at night and I inquired to an employee who said corporate refused to let them turn the heat on! What horrible working conditions, I feel so sorry for all of the employees who were wearing large winter jackets in order to do their job and were still uncomfortably cold! read more

Employees not wearing masks and allowing other customers to go maskless as of end of August when I was in there last. The manager was kind when I told him my concern, but it's obvious store managers and Fred Meyer as owner don't care about people's health right now so I won't be shopping there again. A great grocery store. Parking can be difficult at some times, but that doesn't reflect on the store's very good staff. I would rather have a great customer experience that a great parking experience, wouldn't you? When the check out lines are longer that about three people, they open another lane. Awesome. I feel well cared for when I speak with the staff. Very helpful. I can't remember everyones names, but thanks to Matt, Elizabeth, Chad, Mike, and the other folks in the meat, produce, wine, cheese, and check out departments. I wish that they carried more pork selections as I don't care for the pork that is injected with sodium solution, but that is not the choice of the staff. Overall, WAY better than S, A, or the other big grocery retailers. read more

Overall excellent store. Suggestion for improvement: Effective immediately set up shopping cart corrals / receptacles. Customers leave their shopping carts all over the parking lot. They impede the flow of traffic, may cause accidents and do impune the aesthetics of the store. Why excel in all other areas of the business but omit such an integral part of the shopping experience? First impressions are paramount. Readers do judge books by their covers as do customers the stores. It looks sloppy. Your prices are high enough. Take a little out of your pocket change and do it right. You're not a vendor newbie. read more

This review is about the Starbucks in QFC, we were just in there getting our drinks and this is not the first time this happened but first time writing. The one taking our order was not listening to our order had to repeat several times. She was very rude and we had two people ahead of us all of us had to wait forever for our drinks because she was too busy complaining loudly to the other girl there about another customer who evidently wasn't happy with her. I had my 15 year old granddaughter with me and her first response was wow that was horrible. Unfortunately we were in a hurry and having to wait so long we just left and SURPRISE she got my granddaughters drink wrong!!!!! I always tip they did not get one and I will never ever go there again. I think you need to retrain your employees.....so happy my granddaughter has better work ethic! read more

This place should seriously be called MWA, millennials with attitudes. The adults that work here are fine. But the young dudes are kind of willfully horrible and stupid. I imagine they're bitter that QFC is taking time away from their amazing E-Sports careers. I've started going to the PCC across the street, where, though they do charge $4 for an organic apple, at least they employ grown ups. read more

I've lived in Edmonds for 8 years. The first few years I never bothered going here, even though it's less than a mile away, because my previous experience with QFC was that it was overpiced (although this was portrayed as making it "upscale"). By chance one day I stopped there because I needed something quickly and didn't want to drive to Safeway, and was pleasantly surprised to see that prices weren't as bad as I remembered. I attribute this to their current ownership by Kroger (which also owns Fred Meyer). There's a Fred Meyer in Shoreline a few miles away and is almost always cheaper by 5-10% on identical items, but if you stick to sale items you can still do pretty well at QFC. This QFC is on the small side and doesn't carry all the brands or items you will find at a typical full-size grocery store, but honestly it covers 90% of my needs and has become my go-to store for quick shopping trips, as it's small enough that I don't have to walk a long distance to find what I'm looking for, and they have enough self-checkout terminals that the wait is usually not too bad (if there's any wait at all). It's miles better than the Safeway on 99 which has no self-checkout and is chronically understaffed with cashiers. If I really want to load up on groceries, I go to Fred Meyer or Costco. There's also a Starbucks connected to it, although it's run by QFC and doesn't accept Starbucks cards (there's an actual Starbucks-owned store across the street anyway). The parking lot is small but if you use the entrance from Edmonds Way you can usually find a reasonable spot (the entrance off 100th Ave W takes you to the side of the parking lot shared with the rest of the strip mall and is more crowded). read more

I am surprised reading the previous reviews. I really like this store. it is nicely set up, the people who work there-- yes, know my name and my 3 yr old's name and are always ready to help. it is much cheaper then the PCC and the Thiftway. It also has the best seafood selection within 10 miles. As for the old folk vibe, well I hate to say this but, it is really close to down town edmonds, which is a retirement mecca (hey, I'd love to live there!), so what can you expect? read more

The manager that had this place in top notch condition left over 5 years ago and it's gone down hill since. The meat department is good. The store is dirty; hand baskets are very dirty. I hate having to carry their stupid card... I will stop now, because I could go on and on. read more

I am a long time Edmonds resident and have been shopping at this QFC store for about 15 year! Today I say, NO MORE!!! I am fed up with the rude workers in the deli and fish departments. They treat customers like they are an inconvenience! If I could give this store zero stars I definitely would! Off to find a new grocery store who appreciates its customers! read more

If you are anyone, you need to be seen in the Edmonds QFC. Never mind the narrow aisles, just stand around the front and meet and greet everyone and let them know you are the star you are! Food selection, satisfactory, fish market: Stellar !!! Wine selection:Stellar. Gotta appreciate their going green and installing the sensors in the frozen food aisle to keep the lights off when no activity. Parking lot sux. Just go there and meet someone important. read more

This is my favorite QFC -- there are several stores in may area. Staff is so personable and remember their "regulars". The store is immaculate and customer service excels. The Pharmacy and staff replicate the "quality, helpfulness and knowledge" and pick up where the physicians leave off -- they do not practice medicine -- just excellent guides. The meat department is very nice -- carrying Hempler Bacon (meaty and less fat) and Laura's Beef. Shopping is not a chore here. Perhaps a bit more expensive that other chains -- but worth it. PCC is across the street and there are certain products I shop for there. read more

While I hate buying my fruits and vegetables from here it's close and desperate time call for desperate measures! Other than that this is our go to store for everything else, not always the cheapest price but they always have enough cashiers!!! You can actually get in and out quick. That being said, parking is insane, not sure what changed but the lot is mostly full so don't go when you're rushed!! read more

A lot of reviewers complained about the pricing. However, my experience is that the customer service is FABulous here. I'm frequently asked if I need help finding anything, etc. Everyone is VERY friendly (exception being the pharmacy where everyone appears stressed.) I love that I don't have to wait very long to get through the checkout stand. All of this shows to me that they're treating their employees well and that they're staffing appropriately, which probably costs them more. Yes, parking can be full, but I've been shopping here for 11 years and have yet to fail finding a spot. :-) What else do I like about QFC? Great donuts; not the greasy ones like Safeway. Note that I DO shop PCC as well, as they have better pricing on organics. Overall, this QFC is like Edmonds. Friendly. read more

Pros: Very nice people! Speedy checkouts! Good selection of everything. Nice and clean inside. Cons: Really dirty on the outside. That little table for smokers sitting in the dirt on the side next to Starbucks is the kicker. Complete with butts on the ground and a little trash. The landscaping is in bad shape and the whole complex is dated and needs a refresh. read more

The Pharmacy can get extremely busy, but this doesn't stop the staff from being friendly, thorough and quick. I've seen some customers get downright grouchy when there's really no need for it, especially if they take a moment to notice that these amazing people are working hard to get multiple people their medications and get them on their way. You can always count on the Pharmacy staff to give you a genuine smile and a kind word. You can't beat their knowledge as well. When I need a medication, QFC Edmonds is definitely my first choice. read more

Not happy with this store, I'm an Edmonds resident and since Kroger took over the management of this store it has gone down hill. The produce is noticeably less quality, but for the same price. The prepackaged meats are not as fresh, I have purchased the Laura meats and other top brands, I stay with the QFC brand. But they don't keep the QFC brand stocked very well. Went in the other day, no pork chops. There was one guy working the meat counter during the dinner rush with 6 people standing in line. This guy was not helpful to many in line, when it was my turn he said they had pork chops in the back but could not put them out as he did not have a proper code. Hey Kroger management get your shit together!! As Edmonds has a upper class residents, I would think they would stay with better quality, I have no problems paying as long as the quality is there. Worst experience ever. I simply asked for the meat department to cut a steak for me. First they act like they didn't hear me then they said they couldn't do it. They acted like I was an inconvenience instead of a customer. If you want good customer service steer clear of this place because they have no idea what that phrase means. read more

I went to this QFC today and got some Gatorade and went into the Starbucks to get coffee, a snack and check out. The girl behind the counter in Starbucks started processing my order when someone she knew walked in and started talking to her. She pushed his order in front of mine and then missed half my order. The other guy was gone and out of there as well as two other customers served before I had to interrupt her asking her to finish my order. Then she made excuses. There was another person behind the counter when I came in but she took a break and sat at one if the tables while this was going on. Very poor service. I am both a Starbucks and QFC fan, but next time I will go back across the street to the Starbucks there where I usually stop. read more

The Westgate QFC is my favorite among the local grocery chains on the basis of price, quality, service and selection. Selection: GREAT wine shop with an on-site steward who seems to be quite well-informed. The wine shop offers regular tastings and I find the pricing very competitive, with 10% discounts on 6 bottles, and occasionally 15% off on 6 bottles of Washington wines. It also has a great chilling tub; tuck your bottle in there at the beginning of your shopping trip and pick it up nicely chilled at the end. The cheese selection is excellent as well, although for some of my favorites, such as manchego, Costco definitely offers better pricing. The deli meat selection is also expansive. The produce variety selection seems superior to the other big chains, although it can't compete with Central Market, Ranch 99 Market or that other Asian market tucked away near the big Value Village up on Hwy 99 (can't remember the name). On freshness, I've never had cause to complain at QFC. Service is friendly and helpful. The checkers are experienced, efficient and rarely make mistakes (except they will often accept expired coupons, and I'm not about to complain about that). The folks at the seafood counter are especially helpful. Quality. QFC's meats and seafoods are always top-notch. There's nothing more annoying than getting home from the grocery store, opening a package of chicken, meat or seafood to start fixing dinner and getting a strong whiff of that tell-tale spoiled smell. I've shopped more at QFC than any other local chain, and never had that experience; wish I could say the same about Safeway, Top Foods and especially Albertson's. Price. Other reviewers claim QFC is more expensive. Maybe if you shop randomly, ignoring sales, it is, but if you compare their "on sale" prices and use their card, QFC is usually just as competitive, and if you keep your eyes open, frequently has truly outstanding sale prices. I compare store flyers for the Big Four local chains every week, and it's a rare week that finds me doing my shopping elsewhere. If you put yourself on their customer mailing list, you will also get coupons every two or three weeks for a variety of free or heavily discounted items from among your regular shopping purchases. The store does seem to change its incentive/"on sale" system every once in a while and sometimes its better than other times. The only way to really know if you're getting a good deal is to keep a price book or something like it, because as we all know, not every "sale" is actually a good price. Yes, the aisles are a little less spacious than some other places, and the parking is a little tight (although I've always found a space), but at least the space you get will be close to the store rather than a quarter-mile away. read more

My favorite grocery store :) Clean, organized, friendly employees!

Every year, our elementary school donates holiday gift baskets to some of our families that are in need. Without hesitation the people at this store generously donated 7 HUGE frozen turkeys so these families would have a great holiday meal! I had contacted other local grocery stores and was either turned away or they wanted something in return. This QFC said yes with a smile, gave without batting an eye and even brought the turkeys out to my car and wiped them down for me. Thank you, WESTGATE QFC!!!!! read more

9 years ago I moved to this neighborhood - this QFC was run well. Now in 2016 - it is less than to be desired. 6am I do my shopping - I see 5 employees - all standing around chit chatting. There is no baskets up front - I'm not to sure if there was even a manager - around - not one obviously who cares about their customers or their store. I get up to the front - and stand - and wait - and wait - I yelled out - "Hello" - can someone please ring me up? One of the ladies talking to her co worker about non work related item said - someone should be up in a few - squeeze the dog toy. I complied and squeezed the dog toy. I waited - waited - I said again - Can someone please come up and check me out - the girl in the shampoo isle said "THATS NOT MY JOB". Now there is two of us in line - again no one coming forth to check us out. Come on QFC! you can do better than that. I ended up after waiting for 7 minutes I walked out. Horrible. If this was my store - and serving the Edmonds area - I would make sure my employees were working "all" hours - and attentive to your customer needs. read more
