It sucks that I walk in 45 minutes before close then wait 15 before I'm told that they have nothing but chicken, beans and white rice out. If you're going to be open until 10pm, I can understand pre-closing because I'm a manager of a fast food chain... but throwing away everything but a couple items? Not ok at all. Honestly neve have given this place a chance so why not do that today. Basically a build your own burrito/taco/bowl etc fast food spot. There is no skimping on the ingredients when you order which is a big plus. The downside of it is the cost. A burrito, chips with queso and a drink coat a whopping $15...I can get more food at a sit down Mexican restaurant for that price and better quality. Now I'm not saying this place was awful, the burrito was ok although I didnt realize you had to order the sauce while it was being made as it is not available at the places you sit at. Worst Q I have visited. The staff was working very hard but there was only two people in the front of the house. They were servicing online orders much faster than the huge line that had accumulated. I would highly recommend the store manager work during the evening shifts so they could evaluate staffing and training levels. read more

I think the Qdoba in Richmond is one of the best Qdoba stores I've been to. Usually I prefer chipotle but there is no chipotle in Richmond. The food here is always fresh, service is always good, and they have a pleasant area with lots of seating to eat in. read more

I've had some bad experiences here yet I still go back from time to time. I'm so glad I did tonight. I ordered a taco salad with the shell and the guy said he was sorry but they didn't have those. He asked what he could make me instead. I thanked him and said I really wanted a taco salad and I walked out to my car. He ran out and caught me as I reached for my car door. He said if you'll wait about 3 minutes I'll make you a fresh shell. He did just that and it was delicious! Exactly what I wanted. I thanked him several times and thought I should share. Where is the manager? This restaurant is in obvious need of a management change. No vegetables the last two times I've visited, and none on the grill. Last visit they were out of lettuce. And nobody seems to care. I can understand if it's supply chain issues, but maybe knock off a few cents from the price when you don't have everything you offer. read more

Visited on 01/14/21 at 8:30 pm. I had a mobile order and came in to pick it up. There was NO ONE in the restaurant. I went to the register and made them aware I was there to pick up a mobile order. I was offered a seat and said its ok I will wait. The gentleman behind the counter engaged me in a friendly conversation. A young lady named Jazz came from the back and told me to sit down. I said its ok I will wait. She said NO YOU HAVE TO SIT DOWN. I asked why and was told it was because of COVID.....really?? If I was ordering in the restaurant I would have had to stand there or do you have to order from your seat? Absolutely ridiculous I was more than 6 ft away and wearing a mask. I like Qdoba much more than I do Chipotle. I think Qdoba has a better selection of ingredients. I like how your order is made before your eyes. My favorite is the Naked Chicken Queso Burrito with Corn Salsa. A flavor combination that can't be beat. Fast and friendly service. Great sweet tea. To me, the sweet tea is half of the meal. To be honest, I really did not enjoy my time at this establishment. The customer service wasn't that good, and the food wasn't good at all. I got a simple chicken quesadilla with black beans. The beans didn't have much flavor and the chicken was burnt. Not only was my food bad, but so was my two other friends plates. This is a no for me. read more

Friendly staff, but I'm kind of a regular, but they will make your burrito stuffed full if you simply let know how you want it. It can get pretty busy during lunch and sometimes they'll run out of steak, but other than that and maybe a long line I've never had an issue. read more

We have been customers of this location for a while now with a lot of orders on our account. The order we received was wrong. I believe someone is new at the store the burritos were much smaller than usual, also just bad. Mine had no rice and so much queso it was inedible. No joke as if someone took the cup of queso that comes with the chips and put it in a burrito. When I opened the burrito there was probably 5 pieces of chicken. Went in last Friday night after a long day and got the best service ever. Isaac fixed my son's burrito, ran out of roasted veggies and asked if I wouldn't mind waiting for fresh ones. It was busy and even though it caused some back up for others, he made sure we got our portion. He was SO patient, calm, and caring even though it caused some time to do it. He worked steadily the whole time working on several orders at once and multi-year very efficiently so that no one had to wait too long. It's hard to juggle orders, but he did it like a boss! While I waited, the cashier, named Jazz, told me about Adobe's catering .She was so sweet, perdonable, and charming that time flew. I couldn't believe someone so young was making an effort at connection. My experience was great because of 2 young people that were really good at their jobs. read more

The particular Qdoba is 50/50 ( half a chance of the food taste like hot dog water, half a chance like double stuff Oreos). What I mean by that is, either your food is going to straight fire, the rice will be perfect, chicken will be grilled perfectly, they will put an adequate amount of food. But when it's bad it's god awful, the rice will be like baby teeth( not even cooked and hard as a rock) literally have cut my gums before. Today I ate three bites and it was so horrible that I threw it away, and microwaved a hot ham cheese and enjoyed it so much more then the hot dog water, wait I mean the Qdoba. Qdoba has always been a sure bet in other localities so I have no clue what is going on at this particular location. The floor is dirty, dust and grime covering the walls, the food prep area is a mess and there is just a sense of general uncleanliness about the restaurant as a whole. Like the other reviewer said it may be due to a change of management, but whatever is happening it isn't working. First off, the restaurant was understaffed. When I went in around dinner time, there was a long line and ONE worker pulling double duty, completing orders as well as running the cash register. The food quality is completely inferior to other Qdobas as well. The rice was so brittle it couldn't be chewed, the fajita vegetables were soggy and sitting in disgusting pan water and the tomatoes from the pico were white! Again, I'm not even comparing this restaurant to other similar places like Salsarita's or Chipotle, I'm basing this off experiences at other Qdobas like the one 20 miles away at Lexington's Hamburg location or the one in Frankfort or any other Qdoba in the area. There is a problem at this specific location that, at this time, makes it a no go. read more

GET THE GUMBO! I always order it when I go to Qdoba. I like it without meat, and the addition of corn and lettuce makes the meal feel fresher. I have a rewards card, and for every entree you order, you earn 100 points. You get a free entree at 1,000 points. Every Tuesday is double points. Meaning, if you order an entree on Tuesdays, you get 200 points instead of 100. So eat on Tuesdays! read more

I love the food here. You can customize it any way you want to, which is nice. But the food is the only thing I like here. I order my food the exact same way every single time. Each time I am told by a different staff member to order "this way" or "say this instead". When I do this they try to make me the wrong food or get completely annoyed. I gave up trying. There is one particular employee who makes life a living heck when we come. We have decided to walk right out the door when we see her standing behind the counter. Not only has she talked down to me, she has huffed and puffed, pointed to the menu and literally yelled at me, a paying customer. If you have enough patience to get your food, it is worth it. I have been to quite a few Qdoba locations and this one is by FAR the best! It's always clean, warm and inviting and the food is AH-MAY-ZING! The food is very consistent (I have been a regular customer at this location since 2009) and I have never been disappointed. I strongly recommend the ancho chicken (delicious in the Mexican gumbo!) and, when in season, the mango salad with chicken is the best lunch in Richmond, in my opinion. The food is a little spicy (what do you expect from Mexican, right?) but the flavors are awesome and it is very fresh. Employees here stay long-term and have always been engaging, informative and nice to me.
