The refrigerator has a wide variety of Jarritos drinks, including guava. -- Birria Tacos: Tasty shells, decent meat, thick cheese, and delicious consomé that was the highlight. Overall, good. -- Pastor Tacos: Tried with soft shell, black beans, and plenty of cilantro. Minimal pineapple. Slightly moist meat. Overall flavor satisfied once I added sauces. -- Carbitas Burrito: This behemoth was much more substantial than the tacos, both from diameter and generosity of stuffing. Meat a little dry once extracted from the juices in the bin. Good fillings. Good sauces. The guy behind the counter on visit 1 didn't add all the requested items (my lunch mate spoke to him in Spanish), but an easy enough exchange. The visit 2 guess much faster and more generous. Stool spots are scarce during inclement weather. There's potential for an upgrade to 4. But for now, 3.

It was a weekday afternoon, so it was just my and my friend, with one other party there. Since the weather was nice, we decided to sit at their outdoor tables - both indoor and outdoor spaces are big with lots of tables. Some of the tables are in the sun and others in the shade so there are options. They had some lunch specials and a taco Tuesday special so we shared a chimichanga, and two tacos. We had their al pastor and carne asada tacos. To change it up, we went with the chicken chimichanga. While we waited, our waitress brought out some complimentary chips and salsa to munch on. The tacos were tasty, although the meat was a little dry. The tacos were on the smaller end, but also only $2 each. The chimichanga I was not a fan of. The plate looked big, but in reality it wasn't too much food. It did come with beans and rice which I was not expecting, but also, the chimichanga was only filled with shredded chicken, so this must have been the rest of the filling. The chicken, rice, and beans were very bland, and there was too much tortilla (as a result of only being slightly stuffed). Also, it was not deep fried like it should be. Our waitress was nice, and took good care of us.

The ambiance and vibe was nice, but the food was not anything special for me. Although the guac flight was a cool concept, the house guac that was the main part of the dish was not very flavorful and lacked salt. The chips seemed fried that morning as they were a bit stale and saltless also. Nachos were a good portion size, but consisted of mainly lettuce with other toppings buried underneath. The many tacos options were fun to pick from, the chorizo and pork belly were a hit at our table. However, the carnitas, barbacoa, and carne asada tacos all lacked flavor and consisted of dry meat. Overall, for our group and myself this spot was 3 stars due to its ambiance, attentive service and solid food.
