I called and spoke to a 'Sandra' and we entered into a verbal agreement. $45 for the service and a minimum one hour charge of $45. I asked and re-confirmed multiple times that there were no 'hidden fees' as we were only moving like a block away, she said 'no hidden fees'. We thought that was acceptable so we booked for noon. They later called asking to reschedule for 9am. So we contacted our old and new supers with the new time. Fast forward to 9am I recieve a call saying they had a flat tire and asked to reschedule to 11am, which I said fine to. They didnt finally show up until around noon. The truck was huge, but they didnt even pull into our apartments driveway. I met the one guy, whom I was told his name was 'Dave'. He came into the lobby and saw our boxes and then he and I went upstairs to show him our tvs, bed,etc. While up there he took the info down on the old place and new place. He then proceeded to tell me that we had to pay for his travel to the apartment and that there was also a 4 hour minimum charge. Hidden fees galore. I told him I recieved confirmation that pay rates do not apply UNTIL he got there. He simply smiled and said: "no thats not how it works." So telling him in no way will I pay that high for move that is a block away and will take two hours. He responded snarkily with: "that is ok. I am sure you will be able to find new movers today." He asked me how much I was looking to spend and told him how much 'Sandra' said on the phone. He just laughed so I said we were done and to get out. Do not hire Husky Movers at all. As you will be taken for a ride or left standing in your lobby with your stuff and really irate. I wish I could give them NO STARS but Yelp says I must. But I refuse to give them 1 star. More like -99999999999999999 stars

    The worst storage you can ever ask!! They are thieves!!!…read more If you want to get scammed every year and get your money stolen then please go ahead with them. I have been with them for over two years and they gradually raise their rent for no real logical reason. My first year they raised $13 then $9 next year every month for no reason thats over $20 a month and approximately $250 in a year... They never notify you ahead of time either. They claimed to emailed me prior to raise but when i asked for a proof since i never got any notice from them as they claimed, they failed to provide me any evidence or any emails. So they flat out lie to you and steal from you and when you find out then complain they give you bull shit excuses like inflation and employee cost etc which has nothing to do with customers. If its inflation should be less than 2% and if so the original price of rent should go up but no they still advertise same price online as 2 years ago... when i pointed that out they simply couldn't come back with more excuses. I asked to bring my price back to what it was as what they advertise online but they refused... So their way of appreciating long time customer is by stealing from loyal customers and when you confront them they simply shut up and do nothing for you.. I do not recommend this company 1 star is a lot for this bogus money stealing storage!!

The storage space was more than enough for us and with the Public Storage promotion of $1 first month (you just have to pay for a lock if you do not have it), it was definitely a great bargain. Having said that, going forward, I would prefer an aisle facing storage unit. Ours was inside and so offloading and reloading the luggage is quite a task since there are no trolleys in there. If the unit is facing the road itself, one can just park the car next to the door and move luggage very easily. The lady managing the place, Luiza, was great. Quite blunt when it comes to giving suggestions but I don't care so much as long as her advice was beneficial to us. Nonetheless, she provided some newcomer tips to us which were very helpful. Overall, highly recommended the place if you want to keep your stuff safe and you do not have space in your condo/house. For newcomers, it is definitely great since in the initial days you would be moving a lot and do not want your whole luggage - at least the ones you do not require on a daily basis - moving with you.

The head office lady was nice and professional and the attendant from 350 oakdale never dropped the ball and was pleasantly cheery.     I went to My Storage the beginning of the year and updated my visa debit and all my contact…read moreinformation. In October I tried to go to my unit; I had not been there in about two months. I could not get through the gate and was told to call in. I called in to find that they were not charging the proper updated card and therefor the unit had not been paid for, for some time. I was then told that the unit was going up for auction and that if I wanted it I had to pay what was owed plus penalty fees. I stated I should not have to pay the fees and cannot pay in full for the unit that day but could do half and the other half in two weeks. They agreed to the payment arrangements but stated they could do nothing about the fees. I was upset about paying the fees as the error was on the companies end not mine. But I eventually let it go and we finished the call after the first payment cleared. I received a call about an hour later from another employee. She stated that the unit had already been auctioned and sold. She continued to state if I wanted it that I had to pay in full that day. I was now as expected more upset. I then again explained the whole situation with the card and contact information not being correct. I was then told by the employee that they don't save visa debit cards on file (days later I was told on different call with a different customer service employee they do save visa debit cards on file!?). After being told about the card not saving the employee stated that the contact information they have is very much correct and I still have my old number. Basically calling me a liar but not stating the actual words. I tried to explain how I haven't had that number since last December and how phone companies recycle numbers. The employee stated that she herself called the phone and the person on the voicemail is very much me. Confused and a bit pissed off as I was just called a liar on top of the whole ordeal I listened to the employee then state how I was to blame as I didn't do my due diligence. I was told I should have been checking my account to ensure they took their payment out every month. There are only a few bills i actually ensure come out each month the rest I expect that they will with no issues and if there is an issue I would be contacted. I asked the employee to check the cameras to prove I went in and updated my info. I was told to give the exact date; which I couldn't remember. I did not expect that date to be so important and cannot remember the exact dates in which I do everything. I paid the money as I wanted and needed my belongings and was quite upset after the situation. I have never dealt with a company like this and do not want anyone to go through what I have. I was told different things multiple times by employees; there isn't consistent information given by this company. I sent multiple emails to talk to upper management, about the issue. I never got a word back on any form about that matter. The only other times they called after was to state they were going to charge me an extra charge for a new lock and to also try to get that money for the lock. Had my information been updated correctly and been told the accurate information the payments would have never stopped and my lock would have never been cut. Would not recommend even to someone I dislike.
