They will comhydratee in on moving day if you are lucky your bill is only double from what they said it will be most times is three even 4 times the amount you agreed on . once your furniture is in their truck they will not unload it till you pay them everything they demand . Absolutely horrible. Made the mistake of calling them as they appear to be affordable and their ad on craigslist said 'last minute moves ok'. I called and spoke to a 'Sandra' and we entered into a verbal agreement. $45 for the service and a minimum one hour charge of $45. I asked and re-confirmed multiple times that there were no 'hidden fees' as we were only moving like a block away, she said 'no hidden fees'. We thought that was acceptable so we booked for noon. They later called asking to reschedule for 9am. So we contacted our old and new supers with the new time. Fast forward to 9am I recieve a call saying they had a flat tire and asked to reschedule to 11am, which I said fine to. They didnt finally show up until around noon. The truck was huge, but they didnt even pull into our apartments driveway. I met the one guy, whom I was told his name was 'Dave'. He came into the lobby and saw our boxes and then he and I went upstairs to show him our tvs, bed,etc. While up there he took the info down on the old place and new place. He then proceeded to tell me that we had to pay for his travel to the apartment and that there was also a 4 hour minimum charge. Hidden fees galore. I told him I recieved confirmation that pay rates do not apply UNTIL he got there. He simply smiled and said: "no thats not how it works." So telling him in no way will I pay that high for move that is a block away and will take two hours. He responded snarkily with: "that is ok. I am sure you will be able to find new movers today." He asked me how much I was looking to spend and told him how much 'Sandra' said on the phone. He just laughed so I said we were done and to get out. Do not hire Husky Movers at all. As you will be taken for a ride or left standing in your lobby with your stuff and really irate. I wish I could give them NO STARS but Yelp says I must. But I refuse to give them 1 star. THESE GUYS ARE A NIGHTMARE!! They lie through their teeth when they give you a quote. They claimed $45/hr with no minimum and x1 addt'l hour of travel time. They specifically said no extra fees. (just like the other reviewer here encountered) they were 90 minutes late. They sent the wrong truck (too small). They charge you a minimum 4 hours moving and 2 hours travel. They charge you a "stair fee" ($2 per stair per man) and a "heavy item fee" ($20 per man for each item over 100 lbs.) They're rude. They damage your property. They leave their garbage in your driveway. You call the office, you can never get a manager, and they always "put you on hold" - but then hang up on you. AWFUL, AWFUL, AWFUL - DO NOT USE! read more

The main problem with these guys is you don't know they're Husky Movers till yet show up, if you found them on craigslist like I did. Their number on craigslist is 416-887-6686. The movers themselves are three Indian guys in their 20s, two with arm tattoos that spell out, "punjabi" and the other was, "dasaur" or something like that.Do not trust them! The man assured me it would be $65/hr for three guys, which sounded unbelievable (and was!) he said the only extra charge was a 1 hr travel time charge of $65 even though I was only moving less than a 2 min drive away. I called to confirm the move and the details the day before since I didn't receive a confirmation call myself. That was my first red flag. They arrived for a 9am move at 10:20am, no apology or explanation. They demanded a $400 deposit! I hadn't imagined the move would even cost that much, I was irate to say the least. They also said heavy items would be $40 each (eg every single simple dresser, bookcase!) the stairs (2sets) would be an additional $40 each or some such nonsense. I have never had movers quote these types of fees. But it was moving day and they knew they had me in a corner. I negotiated the fees with them and along with that they made me agree to pay them for 6 hrs of work. There is no way 3 guys plus me would take 6 hrs to move my stuff but I agreed anyway. After 40 mins they took their first 20 min break while I continued to work. They took many breaks and mostof the time only 2 of them were working. They were wry rough with my stuff, thy chipped and scratched my furniture, broke many glasses by throwing the box they were in, and carried boxes upside down, just being horrible movers all around. When the truck was loaded they demanded the remainder for the payment else they would refuse to finish the move!! Also of note, they had two intimidating long curved swords in the truck. What could I do? I paid them the balance. They left about a dozen water bottles in the property, outside and in, mostly half-filled. Those were water bottles i had offered them from my fridge. They made sure to take every last one. They were so disrespectful and rude. Though at times they seemed nice, which was the real mindf*ck. It is a ruse. When my 4 yo daughter was bawling, they asked hat had happened. I said she hurt her eye on a hanger. They turned around and howled with laughter. When we got to my new house they dumped everything into a big pile in the living room. They kept assuring me they'd put everything on the right level and room when tey unloaded the truck. With about 1hr and 40 mins left of the 6 hrs, they literally RAN to their truck and took off, leaving me with a baby, a 4 yo and a pile of all our life's possessions in the living room. I had to call the management repeatedly, actually non-stop for 40 mins cause they kept Hanging up on me. I spoke to a Sandra who kept putting me on hold, then the main guy again, who said he'd refund me 1 hr with a cheque but we all know there is no cheque coming. read more

I would give a rating of MINUS a billion but unfortunately that's not possible. I didn't act smart and failed to read the review from the past user and hired them for my moving day. They were late, SLOW and basically a FRAUDULENT company. All their promises while scheduling an appointment were LIES and what they tell you on the phone IS NOT what they will tell you when they come over on the day of your moving. The series of events is exactly what the previous poster mentioned. They give you a fixed quote on the phone and they fail to honour their oral contract. Had i read this review earlier, i wouldn't go for this c grade company. I dont think they deserve to be rated at all. On phone they wont tell you any thing just give a quote and then they will create a series of problems for you. The charged me double of waht they said over phone and damaged the item and my wall. 1. Got a quote and they quoted 3hr + 1 hour travel 2. they came, made me pay a deposit and sign a contract, which they wouldn't let me have, so I took a picture. 3. Wouldn't load my stuff until I paid in full. 4.Gave me hand written receipt without company name and charged me for 4hr + 1 hour travel and tried to over charge me on the storage from the original quote. 5. said thy were going to move my stuff after another move (possibly mixing contents) and didn't know which storage they were taking my stuff. 6. They literally threw my things across the room. They managed to break my a few of my things that were not only precious to me but very expensive. Do not cal lthem unless yo uwan't to troll them: Call them when they will give you papers to sign read/wait few minutes and say you don't want to sign it and ask to leave your property. TERRIBLE - AVOID!!! I just moved my 1-bedroom apartment. They gave me a quote of $45/hour for labor plus $45/hour for travel time. Since I didn't have that much stuff, I factored in 1 hour for loading, one hour for unloading and one hour for travel. When the movers arrived (more than 1,5 hours late!), the had me sign an agreement that stated that a minimum of 4 hours of labor and 2 hours of travel would be charged. This was never mentioned when I called for the quote. When I called the office to complain, they were rude and they knew that there was nothing I could do: I had to vacate my old apartment by the end of the day, and there was no way I could find another mover at that point. They also tried to convince me that I was crazy thinking that the move would take anything less than 6 hours (!!!) Long story short, the move was done (travel and everything) in 3 hours and 10 minutes, but I had to pay for the 6hour minimum, plus tax, plus a surcharge for the couch that nobody had mentioned before (they only asked about pianos etc.) I paid a $200 deposit before they started, and then they asked the remainder when the truck was loaded. I called again the office and they told me this was also on the agreement small print. To top everything off, they left some boxes on the ground floor (that were supposed to go upstairs) and left "because they were late for another move" THESE WERE THE WORST MOVERS I HAVE EVER HAD, AVOID AT ALL COSTS. read more

Recent experience with this company... I was selling furniture; they show up with the buyer and want to charge for a bunch of other fees. They quoted him 90 dollars over the phone and the total charge end up being 160. They started to charge for having to walk stairs in my house (6 steps), travel time, and the workers labor!!!! Messed up thing about it is they kept telling the guy that he was in the wrong for not telling the company everything about the move. Really, how the hell was he to know about this? He called them, told them three piece sofa set from house to apartment. I know I know, maybe they have fine print online, or in contact, but there was NOTHING discussed about extra charges over the phone. I would never never ever use or recommend this company. The bullshit they put this poor man through is ridiculous... they spent 45-60 minutes in my yard back and forth on the phone with their main office. At one point one of the movers comes to question me about my opinion... I told him "I am ok if he does not buy the sofas and cancels on you, I would". He turned around pretty quickly and walked away. Please please stay away from these guys, as they are frauds and full of S***!!!! I was charged $850.00 for a 4 hour moving job . One word: Terrible. Phone quote was $200 to move one piece of furniture from one Toronto house to another (30 minute drive away). They showed up 90 mins late, tried to charge me for a 4 hour minimum @ $70 per hour plus an hour of travel time upfront. Workers claim they don't know what the office has agreed to, make some bogus calls and stick you on the phone with the office who say the mover is right. I stuck to my guns, paid the 200 upfront, and when they got to my driveway, they refused to remove the furniture till I paid another 105 dollars for more time. Bogus. I freaked out, asked them where my compensation was for spending 90 mins at the first house waiting for them. They got me on the phone with the office again, and I told them they weren't getting a penny more because of the time I had wasted. They also drove like snails - I believe intentionally. In the end, I told them to leave the furniture in the driveway, and my neighbour helped move it in. Bonus? They chipped two pieces of wood during the move. Horrendous lying scam artists.
