They called me on the auction day, demanding immediate payment, and only accepted cash or debit, claiming they don't trust credit cards due to potential chargebacks. This policy is absurd and highly inconvenient. The next month, I purposely withheld payment to see if they would use my corrected contact details. At 45 days overdue, they left a voicemail asking me to come in and pay, saying I could use cash or card. When I arrived with my credit card, they refused it, citing a made-up "policy." The staff also refused to connect me with a manager until I had to become belligerent to get them to comply. I asked to see their business license, which they must have to operate in Toronto and conduct auctions, but they refused, insisting they needed some authority to show it to me. I informed them it should be posted on the wall, but they still wouldn't show it. Their communication is terrible, their payment policies are inconsistent and unfair, and their customer service is abysmal. The manager admitted they avoid credit cards due to chargebacks, but that's no excuse for misleading and mistreating customers.
