This location is/seems bigger than the one on 27th, for example they had more BBQ grills on display. Same friendly service as the 27th street location. They saved me a lot of time helping me find things instead of me having to dig through boxes of screws, etc. Both locations are great and way better than big box hardware stores! read more

I'm actually surprised to see the old reviews with negative feedback. I've been to this location a million times and always have had great experiences. Always at least 1-2 people at the front to greet you and ask if you have any questions. I have gotten some really good deals there as well, particularly on holiday items. We got an Elsa blow-up for our lawn at the end of the season that they were practically giving away. Can't say enough good things about them! Definitely prefer this Ace location to big box stores on this side of town. read more

I agree with the other reviews giving this place low scores. I took in some mower blades to be sharpened. I was told 7-10 days. I was in the store on the 9th day and checks and was told that they would be done the next day. Since I wouldn't be mowing until 4!days later I waited until that morning to pick them up. When I showed up to get them I was told they were not done. Instead of listening to me the young lady pointed to a sign that states 10-14 days. When I stated that I was told 7-10 days the confused stare I got let me know that she did not care. No apology, no "we will get them done right away" just a "the sign says 10-14 days. The elderly gentleman that sharpened the blades stated that they should have been done and that "someone needs to get this place in order." These young people these days have a sense of entitlement. If they worked for me they wouldn't make it. I don't put up with that kind of attitude. The customer comes first, but not at this store. Their solution is to hang a sign and point at it. Who cares what the customer was told! read more

Took my mower in to get fixed, and after 6 weeks, it is still not fixed!!! I was initially told that it would be about a week to get the parts and be ready after that. I was told one time that they can't fix it because it is chain saw season and they had to fix them first. I finally went back into the store and just picked it up. NO ONE seemed to care that it was not fixed when I went in to get it. DO NOT GO HERE FOR ANY SERVICE!!!! read more

I bought a traeger grill at this location and paid full price. I thought it was an ok price and everything works on it and everything. I have visited this store many times bypassing the big box stores to help the smaller store out. The next day after my purchase they dropped the price and gave you 50.00 gift certificate for in store purchases. You would think that being a loyal customer they would have told me to wait for the sale price! Needless to say I now bypass them for the big box stores. I got the last laugh this time. read more

Kind of a mixed bag here. At this location, the older employees seem to at least try to be very helpful, but thinking that is probably due to tenure with their employment there most of the time. If you know what you need & don't need much assistance, they are very convenient. Just seems that staff members are not prone to helping each other very well. When it comes to online ordering, which I am sure has increased due to COVID-19, I can say at least this location is clueless. I have tried multiple orders, sometimes I don't get a confirmation pickup email for 2 weeks, had one where it was stated as ready for pickup but no employee knew where it was, and now completely unaware of how to handle returns when the Ace website states to take online pickup orders to the store it was picked up from. Multiple employees told me that returns needed to be done online. The website only gives a phone number to call if there is not a store nearby. This store is within 2 miles of my address. Disappointing, since I know most of the employees mean well on their own, they just are not trained on how other aspects of the store work since getting info to each other is severely lacking here. read more

I don't know that I've ever given a 1-star rating but this store has definately earned it. Bought a Stihl chain saw here which locked a bearing in first year. Took it in to their service and they immediately started making accusations of abuse and and poor gas/oil mix . I was forced to go through local and Lincoln mgmt all of whom talked a good story but stood behind their inept service department. Went to the Stihl rep who provided a complete tear down which discovered they had a bearing failure unrelated to my use. When QP discovered I went to Stihl they even wrote a letter stating I don't deserve anything. Stihl stood behind the saw and sent me a new one - would buy another. QP is abusive, rude and they do NOT provide service greater than any big box store. If you know they have what you want, you're far better off with Menards, Home Depot or Lowe's. read more

The staff seemed to have "specialties", if you ask someone a question, they have to go get the specific guy to answer it. they seem very eager to help, and are very personable. read more

I am always able to find help from the staff. I'm usually approached by the staff before I realize I needed help anyways. They do have higher prices then their warehouse store competition, but their proximity to my house and (actually) being able to find an employee to help if needed makes up for the difference in price. read more

QP Ace Hardware on Old Cheney Road is an excellent place to shop. In my case, after extensive research into chainsaws (mostly from weblogs, posts, rating services, etc.) I thought I would go to this QP store, which is apparently the largest Stihl dealer in Nebraska. Trust me, I had a ton of questions. Cody, the service manager and his assistant, Zach literally spent an hour answering every question I had. They were highly patient, knowledgeable, and thorough. Based principally upon my interaction with Cody and Zach I purchased my chainsaw. I left confident that if a problem arises, these two guys would do everything possible to assist me. If you are looking to buy a chainsaw, talk to these two guys first. You won't be disappointed! read more
